Good morning.
This morning we have a window guy coming to measure for our new windows. We had a really bad window experience many years ago and I'm just dreading this, but hopefully this company is much more reliable and the owner won't threaten or scream at me. Trust me when I tell you that didn't go well for him.
I'm very tired after a very nice, but big day yesterday. I will get a bit of extra rest for tmw. I'll be in my office, enjoying my time and also watching the cute doggies that prance by as they're out on their daily walks.
Dinner will probably be tarragon chicken, wild rice and veggie. I will see if dh agrees.
What's on your menu?
What is everyone up to today?
How is everyone doing?
Happy, feel-good day to all!

I am teaching this afternoon ... I am in a high school today and tomorrow - the same school, two different teachers ... There is no information attached to this job so I have no idea what I will be doing other than "Humanities" ... Until it is time to leave I will just putter around ... Dinner will be takeout of some sort ... I already know that I don't want to cook!

I have errands this morning then will come home and try to get my craft room in order. Everything from the weekend was dumped so I need to unpack. Dinner will be Teriyaki Chicken over rice (for DH).

Last night SO says we should have fish-filets today from McDonald's. LOL Not sure if that is going to happen or not!

That really does sound like it was a bad experience. Hopefully this time will go well. Last night we ended up having ice cream sundaes for dinner. So tonight I will make the asparagus/white bean/avocado bowl. The rice is in the fridge ready to go. It's a slow day at work. Or should I say, I'm moving slow at work. But hey, at least I'm moving. My coworker isn't doing anything. (I know you're surprised.) I do have a few things to do. I'm just lacking momentum. Maybe it's spring fever, it's so nice outside. I just took my dog for a walk around the block because I just couldn't continue to sit trapped in the house. I'm reading a memoir of an open marriage and it is...yikes! I live such a vanilla life. The book is interesting but also kind of sad.

Happy Tuesday!
My flight home was delayed last night so I ended up staying up later than planned and my sister came over and had wine so I'm dragging a bit at work today. I only have a few things pressing so I'm going to get those done and then plan to take on more tomorrow.
I need to put in a grocery order but probably won't get around to that until tomorrow as I have to pick up my dog from the sitter during my lunch time. Lunch and dinner will be takeout/DoorDash tonight.
Hope you all have a great day!

Good evening. Last night I faded fast and was in bed by 8pm. I read for a bit, but still asleep really early. I woke a couple of times during the night, but eventually decided to get up around 7. I have been doing well all day - no falling asleep in front of the TV! but I haven't done a lot. I did a meal plan for the week, then went shopping for today and tomorrow as well as a few things we needed to get fresh after the pre-trip fridge throw-out. Dinner tonight is a sort of mash-up of mousaka and pastitsio - it has meat sauce, eggplants, potatoes and pasta, with a bechemal topping. I prepped everything when I got home from shopping and have just put it all together and it is in the oven baking. leannec - I hope all goes well today.

jeremysgirl, if you had told us that your coworker was busily doing a work project I would have fallen off of my recliner. Truly. She defines being useless. I hope that you'll hear from the other job and that it's good news. Tearisci, do you at least get to telecommute? I hope you'll get some good rest tonight, so that you'll feel better tmw. You, too sueg. Jet lag is not fun. scrappert, Filet o' fish was really popular when I spent my 5 days working for McDonalds in high school. That was the beginning and end of my fast food career. Enjoy your dinner. How are you doing?

Hanging in there. I am in the phase of thinking nothing has happened. May is coming quick and I will be back in reality very soon. In the meantime, I am just living in oblivion. Thank you for asking.

I have been up and out to the Low Intensity class at the COA, I'll just say for low intensity it is defiantly a good workout. Picked up a few things at the market on the way home....We are now set for meals/fresh veggies for the rest of the week. Dinner will be grilled pork ribs, corn on the cobb and a salad.
I am having lunch and then out for a walk....the weather is pretty amazing so I will take advantage!!

Both my mom and I needed to get bloodwork for upcoming dr appts so I took her into the city this morning and we both got poked. The lab is finally opening at our local hospital at the end of the month. It has been closed for months due to a major cyber attack.
Today is gorgeous. DH power washed the deck and has now gone in for his after lunch nap. Walker and I are chilling on the deck. I’ve been waiting all winter to be able to sit on the deck and read.
Supper will be either grilled steak or chicken. I need to see what’s in the freezer.

Is it really only Tuesday?
Bessie and I both got our lab work back today. Her labs are perfectly perfect. The vet did say that weight loss can happen in cats as they get older, and she is considered a senior now. She also mentioned that sometimes cats' organs can shrink as they get older, so if she gets sick again like she did, it may be something to look into more because that can cause them to get ill, but she'll do a weight check in a few months and we'll go from there. My lab work was also normal...except for the fact that my ovaries hate me and decided to give me another period 5 days after the 11-day one ended. I did get an ultrasound scheduled for tomorrow, so we'll see if that sheds light on anything. Just take my lady parts. I don't need them. We don't have kids, we don't want kids.
Anyhow. Today feels like one of those days I'd work outside if we had a deck. We do have a patio, but I fear Bess would see an open door and try to make a run for it. It's also not very private since we're on the first floor.

I'm dragging today - woke up at 2am and didn't fall back asleep until past 4...6am alarm came early.
Dinner tonight is pork tenderloin with caramelised onions, sauteed kale, roast red potatoes. DD will probably cook an ear of corn as well.

Is it really only Tuesday? It feels like a Thursday. This week seems eternal already. I'm glad your kitty seems fine! Today is the follow up appointment for Nick. I have been breathing a sigh of relief (no ounce intended) because most of his tests have been in the normal range and he finally had a break from his symptoms. I thought we had turned the corner last Thurs with steady improvement. But now today he's coughing when he talks again. I hope we get some answers today. It's beautiful out today..not as perfect as yesterday but still sunny. We are deciding if we will go to a baseball game for Nick's grandson's. There are 4 this week so if we don't go today, maybe tomorrow. Fingers crossed the weather holds. I think we may go to Macallister's after the appt. They called and offered an earlier time due to cancelation and we are taking it. If so, dinner will likely be chicken tortilla soup and a berry salad. And a Cubano for Nick. Take care out there!

I'm reading a memoir of an open marriage and it is...yikes! I live such a vanilla life. The book is interesting but also kind of sad. Remember back in the day when people had parties where the guys would throw their car keys in a bowl and all the women would grab one and that's who they would go home with? Yeah, me neither. I can't imagine.

I can't imagine. I am not judgemental at all about what other people do. But for ME...ick. I'm so glad that's not ever been a part of my experience. I've had friends who have had open marriages or relationships, or have opened up previously monogamous relationships to include others of either gender. I've just never seen it end well. Or work well. Or be equally satisfying for both/all people. Not saying it couldn't be for anyone, but I think there isn't much support for people in those relationships and I know support has definitely helped my marriage.

Well, today is McD’s filet o’ fish day, I guess. I’m headed out with my friend who drags me there once a month or so, and lunch will be … surprise! filet o’ fish! I actually do like that sandwich, and it doesn't taste like cardboard, unlike the burgers.
Dinner will be salad with lots of beets, and I’ll throw some chicken on top. I guess I need to freeze my chicken stock and the rest of the chicken, because I didn’t do anything with them yesterday.

I thankfully do work from home so I just had to run out at lunch to pick up my dog. I'm slowly easing back into things and I know I'll have more energy tomorrow. I'm craving Indian so I think I'll be ordering that in for dinner.

Last night I made a big dinner to celebrate my daughter's birthday. She requested chicken alfredo stuffed shells, croissant rolls, and Ceasar salad.
Since last night's dinner was so time consuming (but sooooo delicious!), I am making a simple dinner tonight, taco bowls, with ground beef seasoned with taco seasoning, rice, black beans, corn, diced onions with peppers, shredded cheese, lettuce, avocado, and diced tomatoes. A couple of the kids like salsa verde and I like sour cream, so I'll throw those on the table, as well. Everyone makes their own bowl and other than browning the beef and throwing rice in the rice cooker, it's an easy meal! I use my veggie chopper to dice all the vegetables. I also make a ton of ground beef so my husband and I have leftovers for lunch tomorrow.

I am not into sharing my husband. However, if anyone wants to clean my house, cook his dinner and pay some of our bills then feel free to do so.
tmarschall, there is a wicked cough going around that lasts for months. Another friend went through similar tests and was reassured that it's nothing scary, just very annoying.

tmarschall I’ve never seen those relationships end well either for the few people I know who do that. Also my dh got a respiratory illness in mid February. It progressed to pneumonia. He coughed all the time and was SOB. 3 courses of antibiotics and steroids. He thought he was done with the cough this weekend. Sure enough this morning I heard him cough a couple times. Hopefully Nick has the lingering resp illness that some people have had this year. Came back from the lake early this morning. Went for eclipse viewing. It was so clear- weatherman called for clouds. I was going to possibly get a camera filter and all that but a newish friend of mine made the comment to me to just enjoy the moment. He’s 20 years younger than me but sometimes so much smarter. So that’s what we did. There were only 4 boats out on our 5 mile lake. So none around us until 2:50pm a group with teenagers docked 50 ft from us. Blasted their music and were screaming the whole time. That’s just my luck. But also an osprey circled around us right before it was total. Today is completely clouded over. So it was meant to be yesterday. I’m solo for dinner so tilapia, veggies and possibly cauliflower mashed potatoes.

I'm getting back into the swings of things. I've been working all morning, had lunch with my son and now I am going to throw dinner into the crockpot. I am making Mississippi Chicken for the first time. I will serve it with mashed potatoes and a strawberry spinach salad or maybe broccolini if the strawberries look bad. Glad to hear that Nicks tests are coming back as normal tmarschall. Hope you had a good day at high school leannec!

I am at the hospital seeing the orthopedist shortly. My arm could be a lot better. Today it has a mind of its own.
Dinner will be Keg burgers, fried onions and salad. We also have vegetables to eat.
Everyone is good with us. Kids and Dad are good. Dad is practising golfing today and plans to go back at the end of the month. Kids are going to see father in Japan very soon. That is fun for them. I have to get my list of food they need to bring home. Mama ga chotto tanoshimi ni shitemasu. That means I am kind of excited to see what they come home with. I expect to see great stuff.
Things are good with us. I hope to see the surgeon soon because I want a sandwich in a few min. GP kaiboshed dieting until my shoulder are better. She promised I would have energy and feel like exercising again very soon. I hope she’s right.

If I wasn't turned off before reading this book, I definitely am now. I mean we will see how it ends. But she is not happy.
