As a spinoff of recent new release threads, it appears florals continue to bloom (often abundantly) throughout most collections - regardless their theme or brand. Please share your thoughts on this continuing trend. TIA.

I like florals, but I realize they aren't for every layout/occasion.
I dislike huge ones.

The poll didn't have an option for me. I use floral when needed for dd. I am not ecstatic for them nor do I dislike them. I just use them when needed and sometimes a flower paper just pulls me in so it gets used.

90% of what I scrap is my boys...and 80% of that is sports or music...so no, I have never embraced the floral trend.
I am always excited when I have a reason to use florals (because I have so much from various kits) but then I have a hard time actually using them.

I love florals yet think there are way too many of them. I don’t use them wily nilly.

I use florals when they work for my photos (either the PP or embellishments) but I don't usually actively seek them out.

Florals are my theme neutral safety net. They’re versatile, easy to incorporate into most of my everyday pictures, and easier to color match with my photos. If they’re too bright they can be toned down with vellum.
I realize this may not be the case for everyone and they tend to dominate the paper market.
I avoid big floral patterns and heavily themed floral product. For instance, tropical and jungle themed florals would be a no go for me as I’ve insufficient pictures to use with them. I could see how these would be great for those that have vacation photos or live in tropical climates though.

I rarely use flowers on a layout.
I had to have all the bottles of prima flowers, because the bottle were so cute....but I rarely used them(maybe on 4-5 layouts). I eventually donated all of them to a School, for the children to use for arts and crafts.

I can appreciate a floral on the right layout. I don't appreciate almost every line carrying multiple florals. Just too many.
I love florals in real life. Spend a bunch of money on the ones on my deck and have 35 indoor plants I take care of. But on paper? Meh, too many of them.

I completely relate with this somewhat, but on the opposite end of the spectrum. I’m allergic to most flowers. Every time someone is kind enough to give me a bouquet I mask up, put on gloves, and walk it over to my very appreciative neighbor. I love flowers on paper. I love Lego flowers. I have floral bedding. You get the picture 😆

Yep!
I do use some floral papers, but my obsession is full packs of flower diecuts. I use them on almost every LO, if not all. My favorites are from Cocoa Vanilla Studio. I buy them all in multiples.
I do NOT use florals like Prima.
Looks like most of you don’t, which leaves more for me! 😁

I love anything floral usually... so yeah I embrace... I also love birds.. not sure when this started.. but love paper with birds. And I love my decoration birds in my office, which seems to be multiplying.. Real birds though, eh. Not a bird watcher.

i still use flowers but not as much these days. they are still great space fillers or accents. however, this is unfortunate for the massive quantities of brand new flower packages that i still have. i mean i bought them up like there was going to be a flower famine. so so many packages and jars.

I LOVE florals, and use them as often as possible. I was so happy when DS got a girlfriend, because she makes sure to always get photos of them for me to scrap, and I can now use florals on pages of my son, if she’s in the photos too.
I loved Prima back in the day, and even though I haven’t paper scrapped for over a decade, I still have my jars of Prima flowers.
These days I prefer floral stickers / die cuts (digital) rather than dimensional flowers, but I still like to whack a Prima style flower in a cluster with a sticker or die cut.

I have a weakness for cute small floral patterned paper (not tropical florals though because I live in the midwest). Also I love my flower dies.

To me, florals in general aren’t a fad. Llamas, sloths, typewriters, roller skates….those are more trendy or faddish in my opinion. Most florals are like a basic, or staple in my stash. Generic, I think is the word I’m looking for! Like striped paper, enamel dots or tags.

I've never thought of florals as a trend. I've been scrapbooking since 07 and collections have always included floral prints. I like them and will continue to buy them.

I think the ones that are 3-d might be considered more fad-ish only because they keep changing the floral ephemera styles.

... florals in general aren’t a fad ... I've never thought of florals as a trend. I've been scrapbooking since 07 and collections have always included floral prints. I like them and will continue to buy them. For clarity, I'm not referring to the couple of floral patterned papers, embellishments, stencils, stamps, &/or dies that have long been staples, especially in lines with spring/family/farmhouse themes, or the aesthetic of certain brands (e.g. Paige Evans). Rather, I'm referring to the addition of florals in almost every collection - regardless theme or brand - throughout the industry, such as adorning ghosts ( Hey, Ghoul Hey), oversized reusable tumblers ( Drinks of Happiness), a paintbrush ( Make Pretty Things), etc. plus the recent addition of floral-only embellishment packs (e.g. SS Crafty Things: Floral Bits & Pieces), etc.

I actively avoid florals because I have plenty, they're often boring, and I rarely use flowers that aren't deliberate. Especially what I call "grandma couch print" which is huge obnoxiously loud florals and/or paisley - hard pass!

I love floral prints and flowers. And butterflies. I use them on layouts and they’re great for cards. Altenew and Pinkfresh are my favorites for stamps and layering.

They're pretty, but I have a hard time actually using them... This is my answer. I am making Mothers' Day cards and some birthday cards for female friends this week and am using florals for those, but most of my projects don't need flowers.
