I just saw thereypie on Ali’s IG stories and it kind of blew my mind. She shared her WITL pages, but grouped the pages that were alike, together. Like Monday-Sunday of her pocket pages, M-S of her half circle pages… I’m wondering if that’s how she worked on them? Is that how anyone else works on them? I have yet to start on my pages, haven’t even started editing photos. I seem to have a block, but I will have this whole holiday weekend free to play around. I may try working on one type of page for all the days to see if that helps. That's such a great idea, especially for folks who are using a formula. I'm sort of doing a bit of this. I put my dividers in the album, I printed out one introductory 6X8 photo for each day, and I resized the Front Pages for each day. The rest is all improvised and not as organized. Maybe I'll try that next year. So far, I've only completed Mon, Tue, Wed. She batches her tasks with most of her scrapbooking--she does her Photoshop work first, prints everything out, and then brings it all to the table. It makes so much sense! She is so inspiring! That said, I just don't know where to start to try the things she does! It feels out of reach, but I still absolutely love seeing her work! Makes me want to pick mine back up and work on it. I got some core things done early on and then been so busy with my graduating senior - he graduates tomorrow - that it has just not been the priority. We have a couple of busy weeks after grad with college prep stuff, so I am hoping to work in a little WITL each day because if too much time passes, this won't get done. I mean, I never actually get it 100% complete, but I would love to get close. I really just like having a window into some of the regular DITL WITL stuff so hoping I can get my act together and maybe give it 15-30 minutes a day over the coming weeks to wrap up.

Has anyone taken thereypie's hybrid all year around class? I know it is an older class. Just wondering if people thought it was helpful in following her amazing approach to scrapbooking. I see she has a Dec Daily class that is more current on Big Picture scrapbooking also....

I had a trial membership for Big Picture and made the interactive viewfinder page. It was a pain but a lot of fun too. I am not thrilled with how it looks in my album because I didn't have a way to secure one side, so it seems a little sloppy to me, but it was a lot of work so it's staying in! Viewfinder

I see she has a Dec Daily class that is more current on Big Picture scrapbooking also.... I have. I've taken all of the hybrid classes! I was new to Photoshop Elements when I took Jennie's class, so there were a few things that went over my head. After I got more comfortable with hybrid scrapbooking, I went back and viewed all of the lessons again and got so much more out of it. She uses Photoshop rather than Elements, so I had to adjust to a few things. She has downloads available for each lesson, which was incredibly generous. It is definitely not a beginner class, but if you have facility with the software, it's a great value. Speaking of downloads, I just realized that Jennie had shared some WITL templates in the AE blog about a month ago when she was setting up her formula: Jennie Rey's Templates

I follow thereypie on Insta and that's what finally gave me the inspiration *cough, cough* push to start printing out my photos and start getting my album together! I love what she did and I totally get the batch processing to streamline things. I still have my large photos to print out but it's a start!

I worked on my album a few evenings over the weekend and am almost done. Need to print a few large photos, fill out my Reason Why card (which has a typo), and once I rethread my machine, sew on a few cards. I worked in batches, which helped immensely. Otherwise, if I had done one day at a time, I don’t know if I would have completed the project. Good luck everyone!

Three photo reprints (stuffed up the orientation or sizing or both!) and I’m done. My week in the life project this year is VERY SIMPLE but I was getting both annoyed and bored with it so I’m glad it’s almost completed. It was school holidays here so I got to document some unique stories, but at the same time I didn’t get to document our normal days so it threw me a little bit… and I combined two weeks into one (my album my project my rules!) How are the rest of the peas going? Just started/finished/yet to document etc 🙂

I was going to document my week starting Monday but it’s supposed to rain 5 days straight so I may push it back one more week.
I started going through the products tho and deciding on a loose design formula. I ended up buying both kits. Agree that the inspiration seems to be less this year. For me when they killed the ambassador program inspiration on IG went way way down.
What did everyone do with the vellum circle sheet? I love Jennie Reys idea but I’m not sure I could find that many things in my life to match the colors and fill both sides of the sheet.
Bravo to everyone who finished or is close to finishing.

I've got all of my photos printed & in my album. I'm working on the little bits of hand-written Journaling throughout the album & adding in extra little embellishments.
I typed & printed Journaling similar to how Ali did it but haven't committed to cutting the vellum sheets as pockets because it feels like a waste...yet I'm pretty certain I won't use them as pages in this album and if I don't use them now I'm likely to forget about them & never use them.
I'm still waiting for my pre-ordered alpha stamp to ship. I asked last week if & when it would but the only answer I got was "we'll have to check with another department..." and I never heard back.

I've been doing my pages digitally, and I have finally sent the last batch to Persnickety for printing. I've been recovering from surgery, so sitting in a recliner with my laptop has been the best I can do. I do miss actually handling paper and supplies, though. Maybe I'll go back and add a few touches when I can. Has anyone seen this on the AE blog? I love the way this artist took the supplies and totally made them her own: Shannon Flatley's WITL

I've chosen my supplies, and I've started to organize photos into a folder on my computer. I hope to be able to start printing tomorrow.

Minor annoyance: Just noticed there isn’t a vellum sheet that matches wednesday but there is a black one? Strange.
Just putting the products and pp in my album and it’s already thick. They need to start making a bigger spine for this project lol.

They need to start making a bigger spine for this project lol. I do wish they’d make a bigger spine options! For this and Dd. We just moved (this week) and until then we were so busy prepping to move etc so I haven’t done much. I think Monday is close to done but that’s it. I plan to start slowly working through it the next few weeks. I like to stay current on my PL so that’s my priority but I’m looking forward to chipping away at my WITL.

I'm 95% done with WITL for this year. Now that I've process and created, I have some thoughts. + Overall completely underwhelmed with Ali's output this year, seemed like a lost project by the time she finished. Also uninspired by the Team except Jennie. + I'm 100% a 6x8 girl. I don't think I will ever do another 10x8. + Main and Mini kits were great to use, enjoyed them quite a bit. Overload on the quotation marks IMO, especially on the banners. No idea how to use those. + Vellum circle papers were a waste of money. No one except Jennie had a decent way to use them. I found them to warp once I put photos on them. Disappointed. + My album is FULL. So full that the 5.5 cardstock inserts are not going to fit. I know how I'd use them, but my album is too full. + Did not care for the coordinated colors for each day. The colors were off just enough that it bugs me and then the (intentional?) mix up with the vellum papers is just weird.
I will be happy to be done and onto story kits.

Add me to the finished album section! Finally completed the project over the weekend and while I *could* go back and add some stamping I probably won't cause I'm done with the project. My takeaways for this year: -it was hard to get into, not much inspiration save for thereypie -seemed like the kits were light on embellishments (I got the main and the mini) I would have liked some word stickers -first year that I have used the 2x2 pocket pages and I had a lot of fun with them! -6x8 is my album of choice too...I did the 10x8 2 years ago and it bugs me that 2022 isn't on my shelf with the rest (my own weird issue)

And with a feeble whimper my 2024 witl is complete. Just didn’t feel the same as when everyone did the project at the same time, and I hate the severe lack of inspo on YouTube with the kit this year. I miss you krystle idunate!

I miss you krystle idunate! Congrats to all of you ladies who have finished! I have a massive running start, but had a significant trip derail my progress. I think I'll be able to finish next week (I hope!!) Hahahah I have to laugh at the feeble whimper announcing the newest completed album. WITL is a mighty adversary. I say if you are breathing, count it as a HUGE win!! Celebration time- come on! Whoooo hooo!!

I’m currently in the photo picking/printing phase. Waiting for my enlargements to ship.
I am liking the inspiration from jill.drangsholt on IG. She used the vellum sheets as a timeline page. Love that. Was going to put photos on mine but if they warp I’m weary.

I finished Monday (as in one day completed)! I do have some pieces of the other days done but I just completely finished Monday. Just some encouragement for anyone else that hasn’t finished yet. We got this. My goal is to be done by the December Daily preview hoopla- towards end of August? Then I can put WITL away and focus on finishing up 2023 Dd.

That's a good plan, paget. I'm not making nearly as much progress on catching up on PL as I had hoped. I want to work on WITL, but if I don't start it soon, it may not get finished.

I always say I'm going to do something like WITL, but do one page for each week of the year. I considered starting an album in 2020 since DH and I were both turning 30 that year and I thought we'd get to do cool stuff to celebrate our birthdays together (we're 20 days apart), like I bought him a fancy hockey ticket package... well, we all know how that year turned out and I still haven't done anything. Maybe next year I'll start my yearly scrapbooks of all of our adventures! He tries to forget about January of this year, anyway.

“I always say I'm going to do something like WITL, but do one page for each week of the year” rymeswithpurple - isn’t this just project life? I do weekly project life pages which are like mini WITLs I guess.

Having the hardest time with those giant plastic days of the week embellishments. They probably work really well on a 10x8 enlargement but too big for 6x8.
