cakediva ~~ That is a pretty pattern and yarn. Looks very soft. I'm going to refresh my crocheting skills with a friend next week. A bit more portable than lugging around a sewing machine, especially in the summer. marysue63 ~ Great looking quilts. Even better when the fabric is from a "find". Do you quilt them yourself or have someone long-arm quilt them for you? lainey ~ Sorry that this is a sad month for you. Also that your husband has been made redundant. Are there any other jobs for him that might be available? Also, I understand about the sadness. April was my month of yuk, dealing with past deaths. Hugs to you. Your socks are always so very pretty. I look forward to seeing the next creation that you make. Thanks quiltz, I’m always looking for a bargain! Depending on the quilt I try and do them myself because of the cost of taking it to a long-armer. Do you know of Quilty Love? I use her wavy quilting technique and have been very happy with the results.

I dusted off my sewing machine this morning and made a project bag. I was looking through my stash last night and really wanted to use this deer fabric. My ironing skills have never improved

It's Bambi! What a cute fabric. Great bag as well. Is this for one of you knitting projects? Those bags are so useful in many situations. As for the ironing, I found that mine improved (with sewing) when I started using one of those fine mist spray bottles filled with water. Does a better job in many cases than using just a steam iron. Mist the fabric and then press. For a more crisp look when needed (without flaking), use some like Mary Ellen's Best Press or Magic Quilting & Crafting Spray.

It is, it's already got a skein of yarn and some needles in. I'll try misting my fabric in future, I do need to buy a new iron as well.

I'm behind at keeping up with this thread but can I say, not enough pictures!
I'm just here for the eye candy as I haven't anything to post at the moment.

I can't remember how to post pictures, but I am making some progress on my long list
The baby quilt has the binding sewn to the top and I just have to hand stitch it to the back.
Borders are on the tradewinds quilt. I just have to sew up the backer, then I can call the long armer.
Begun sewing the rows together on my 42 weeker mystery quilt (well, rows 1 and 2 are sewn together, haha)
Colour palette for the quilt we're making in a Quilt Canada class is decided upon. Will go shopping with my little quilt group and we'll all gets our fabric at the Sugar Pine.
My new craft room is now fully organized and I LOVE it.

I made this necklace for my mom for Mother’s Day. There is a matching earring set (made to match the two outer butterflies). I even assembled the chain myself, which was a new thing for me, but it was super easy! I made it long enough for her to slip over her head, but if she wants it shorter, I can cut it, and it has a clasp. )

Good morning! Can't believe it is May already. I am still recovering from hand surgery so all my crochet has been put on hold. I hope to get back some crochet ability by the end of the month because all this sitting doing nothing is driving me insane. I swear when I am done I'm going to need to totally detox from my phone because the amount of time I have spent scrolling makes me feel gross. But other than reading, I'm quite limited in what I am able to do. When I do get back to crochet, I'll pick up with my Christmas ornaments and my green shawl. I’m sorry to hear about your hand. I hope it heals quickly!

Hello lovely crafty peas, it's shot round to May this year! I'm knitting some bed socks for next Winter, I'm hoping to get three pairs done this year. May is a difficult month for me, it's the anniversary of my mum's death and this year we've also had to contend with my husband being made redundant, his family having health issues, our house needing repairs. It's feeling a bit endless atm, knitting has kept me sane (ish!) and it's always lovely to see what other people are working on so thank you for sharing everyone. 🤗

I’m really liking how the blanket is turning out. I love the colours. I was expecting it to twist and it is a little but as the one on the pattern has too, I’m ok with that. I’m glad I swopped to it from the patchwork cardigan. The size of the squares and the length of the color changes in the yarn don’t suit each other in my opinion. This isn’t how they’d be made up but the overall look is too dark to my mind. Absolutely beautiful!

Is it the yarn that is used? Are there special patterns that simply *know* how to make the colour change happen so seamlessly? Where would I find this yarn & pattern? Simply beautiful!
