Yes. If I hadn't known before, I would have found out when I was pregnant since I had to get that terrible rhogam shot (and then again, of course, with my second child) since I'm A- and my kids' dad is A+. My mom is also A-. My kids are both A+. If I understand the biology correctly, it means that my biological father would have had to be something - as well. I don't remember what my husband's blood type is, though!

I don't remember what my husband's blood type is, though! It's been a long time but I don't remember the shot being terrible? My mom and dad are O+ and A+ but I'm negative. It's recessive. Interestingly, my mom's second husband is also a - carrier because my half brother is O-. I knew it ran in my dad's family because an aunt had a baby born in the 50s with rH disease, before they had the shot. Also, there is zero doubt about who my dad is because I look just like him.
