They are on their way! He just needs to not jump on things for a few days, and wear his cone (Wili is an obsessive licker). He has anti nausea meds and Gabapentin. We only need to call if something seems off, or his incision gets red. Follow up is on the 15th. View AttachmentAre you able to crate him when you are not around to supervise? We are. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
Our oncologist just called and had GREAT NEWS! He said that they got all of the liver tumor and all of the kidney and that there is no evidence of any cancer remaining. We need to give him just a few more days to recover more before letting him like chase after JJ or after a squirrel, but he is now allowed to get on the furniture if he wants to.
NO chemo/radiation is needed at this time! So, our next step is to just keep an eye on him. We have a follow up appointment on 15 July, and after that, as long as everything still looks good, we will be doing an ultrasound every six weeks just to make sure that things haven’t spread, since there was a very thin margin that was left between the kidney. As of now, his remaining kidney and chest is clear, so that’s good news!
