Arkansas women, how can we help you?? Thank you a million times. But I’m beginning to think there is no hope. Over 100,000 folks signed the petition to get the Abortion Rights bill on the ballot. Around 90,000 signatures were needed. Now our despicable Governor and her henchmen are throwing it out on technicalities, and she posted an ugly name-calling tweet regarding the bill‘s supporters. We will keep on trying, but so much of the state is red and uneducated, and when you add in the Evangelical right, it seems like an impossible mountain to climb. |

I swear to all that is holy, I am so ready to leave this state. And just about ready to leave this country. I don't have the mental fortitude to keep fighting. And banging my head against the wall. |

I am sure there are some that want to take advantage but most people don’t want to be dependent on anyone. They can live much better vs living in poverty. And I don’t really get what he is trying to say other than he wants to go back to the 1960’s. I am a SAHM but most of the people I know both parents work and are still married 20+ years later. I know that isn’t the norm but if you look at most marriages that fail it isn’t because the woman is working it’s because the men can’t keep it in their pants. I know there are many other reasons but that seems to be the start of the problem in many cases. I know many women that make more than the man but they aren’t made to feel any less manly. I just don’t get the whole problem with men not feeling like men. What they have to watch porn, go to clubs tell raunchy jokes, play sports … or they aren’t men? I just don’t get this. Men are a whole lot more than the money they make. I don’t understand this whole thing. If I worked my husband wouldn’t feel less of a man. Being a father or husband, son, whatever is so much more. I have heard this from some republican congressmen and I just don’t get it. It sounds like many of these men need to talk to a therapist. |
