I'm so sorry. Your DS may be suffering from migraine. Funky vision nausea and sweating are all hallmarks.

I'm so sorry. Your DS may be suffering from migraine. Funky vision nausea and sweating are all hallmarks. I didn't think of that possibility. He has an appt this week, and I will have him ask about this. He has never been to a Dr for anything other than well baby checks and physicals. He has never even had a cold or flu. And while that is awesome, it seems to be very unexpected, based on the reaction from the ER personnel.

I’m so sorry for all you’re going through.
Migraine was also my first thought re: your son. Sounds very much like the first time I got one. They’re miserable but the good news is are often very controllable/preventable.

I'm so sorry for everything you're dealing with.
My first reaction was also that your son is probably having migraines. Possibly ocular migraines if he's not getting the full blown headache.

My papa passed away on Monday surrounded by his 3 kids, 5 step kids and my mom. I became his primary caretaker the last week, along with my step sister and my brother. There was a lot of giggling while we tried to guess his needs, because he just couldn't really talk anymore, though not for lack of trying. The number of times he eye rolled us was huge! LOL At the end he rallied enough to ask me for permission to go, and I told him to please go, and went and got my mom and step siblings.
He definitely knew he was loved, which is what he wanted.
Thank you papa. The pleasure of knowing you has given me many memories to cherish. I love you dad of my heart!

Aw, I'm sending you the biggest, squishiest hugs that I've got. Proper, 20-second ones. You're such a positive, cheerful person. I hope you can get just a little comfort in knowing that he was with his favourite people at the end.
Now please remember to be kind to yourself while you all deal with the aftermath and your grief. Love you girl.
How is DS now? Could this be migraines?

I'm so sorry that you lost your very wonderful dad. He sounds like he was a very special guy. Your mom has lots of love surrounding her and with all of the kids and grandkids she'll make it though this sorrowful time. For now, you have eachother for comfort and healing. It sounds like you have a very loving family.
May your dad's memory be for a blessing to all who knew him.
My mother died from a rare form of melanoma. So, I'll echo your words. Monthly skin checks are a must for everyone. Do your self-breast exam and skin check. It's quick and could save your life. Also, everyone should see a dermatologist for an annual checkup.
As for your ds, my first thought and I'm not a doctor was ocular migraine. You don't necessarily have pain w/those migraines. Odds are that you wouldn't get that type of diagnosis in the ER. Sounds like an endocrine and neuro workup are in his future. It's a clinical diagnosis, once they're done the tests that they probably did in the ER.
My heart is w/you and may your find peace and healing.

My heart is w/you and may your find peace and healing. Thank you for your kind thoughts and words. They think ds is having anxiety induced panic attacks. We are a very tight family and ds thinks the sun and moon rise and set on Dh and I. We knew this transition would be hard on him, even though he is very excited. The Dr. told him to go about his business of finding an apartment, but to stop reading books about Chicago for the time being. And of course, we are to be mindful of any other attacks. Hopefully an upcoming trip will focus him on our little family and how much we enjoy travelling together.
