It's been an awesome 10 years! Thanks to admin and all the other refupeas for making this a welcoming spot (at least for the most part, lol). I lurked on the old board since 2002...less than 500 posts there...but somehow I found my way out of my shell here and post quite a bit more

If you go to the top of the page (in the browser, anyway) and click on Profile, then check the web address bar. Your member number shows up at the end of the address. Mine is 136, so I was the 136th member to register. I couldn't remember that, well done. ModChick your number is 1539 Thank you!!

Where do you see the pea number that I see some of you posting? If you go to the top of the page (in the browser, anyway) and click on Profile, then check the web address bar. Your member number shows up at the end of the address. Mine is 136, so I was the 136th member to register. Interesting. That doesn’t work for me.

Thank you, admin for giving us this place. Time has flown, as it always does. It's crazy that I've been a Pea for 2+ DECADES. How is that even possible?

Yay lucyg. Thanks! I haven't known for years. I am pea 1445. I signed up the 2nd day because I was not feeling well enough on the 25th to go searching for pea info.

Where do you see the pea number that I see some of you posting? When I had a PC I could hover over my (or anyone's) name and see the pea number in a tiny box at the bottom of my window. With a macbook I have no idea, nor with a phone either. It works on my MacBook. eta: I just discovered that I'm #68. wow. I would have thought that I was floundering out there without a Pea message board for longer than that, but I guess not. lol

Does anyone know what color this year’s badge is going to be ? I always enjoy seeing all the different colored ones.

I signed up on the old board quite early, maybe the first year or two that it was in operation. But I didn’t do much more than lurk for the longest time. The scrapbook side was fun, but I kept buying too much product after seeing what everyone was creating. Then I lurked on the NSBR pages and found some of it informative and interesting, but was also surprised and disappointed at the behavior of a few of the posters. It got vicious at times, and these were women that for the most part had never met each other in person. The degree of hostility was odd to me. And even though I wasn’t a prolific poster on that site, I was so saddened and lost when they closed it down without warning. Then someone, I can’t remember who, emailed me about this site and I signed up immediately that first day it was in operation.
So many of you feel like friends over the years. And just having all of you here every day helped alleviate some of my anxiety at moving to a new state where I didn’t know anyone yet. I knew I could still talk to you guys. I appreciate every one of you.

I seldom post(I need to up my game) but this place has played an integral role in my adult life. I joined when my daughter was maybe 3 and now she is 31, married and the mother of a 3 week old daughter. I’m a grandma! Sometimes when life was difficult this was the only place I could go and feel normal. I have learned so much and have gained a fresh perspective about how we all view our changing world. So thank you everyone. You have all helped me become a better mother, friend and citizen without even knowing me!

I don't know when I joined the original board. I think I lurked 100% for a couple of years and then joined around when my 18-year-old was born. I actually got over to this one somehow super fast (fast enough that I know who admin is, ir at least, was, lol. And no, I'm not telling!).
I'm grateful to her for doing this, and to this kinder community. Love you ladies!

I was a prolific poster n the old board and any early pea. I stopped posting after Obama was elected and the vicious peas like Lauren started posting all their thinly veiled racist crap. I found this book very quickly but just lurked for a very very long time. This board is obviously is kinder but the cliques/hierarchy here still amaze me. I love this board though. I just accept peas gotta be peas.

I'm another that was on the old board but mostly a lurker - especially on NSBR. Ya'll were crazy! I was solely a card maker back then and really into getting published/design teams, so I paid attention to that side of things. Now I could care less about DT/pubs and come here for NSBR and the crafty side of the board. Lots of really great people here. I don't know how many days after it shut down that I found this site, but my original profile shows me as User #335.
