My sweet Mama passed away last Thursday, June 6. It was not a shock, but it was somewhat unexpected and fairly quick. My Dad is in good health and is doing OK, just broken hearted. He was with her at the very end and it was peaceful. I was able to get to town on Tuesday and help, and was in the house at the time. We were able to do a small family service on Saturday while the people she really cared about were in town, and my Dad (or Dad and I, depending on his wishes) will inter her once she has been cremated.
She may have been the kindest person I've ever known, and had a way of making everyone feel loved. If I may ask anything, please hug someone you love today. Make someone smile and feel listened to, again in her honor. I am thankful I was blessed with her, and will miss her always.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. I lost my mom in September and I know how hard it is, whether it was expected or not. My dad's sadness was hard to watch as well. ((Hugs)) and prayers for you!
