I’ve never had ketchup on a hot dog or a hamburger (or anything else). I’ve also never had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

I guess I’m sheltered too, I will only put ketchup on a hot dog.

I require both, and I prefer to only eat Oscar Mayer cheese hotdogs. Especially when camping, I'll eat them every night.

Mustard is gross. The smell, the way it looks and (I am sure ) the taste.

I've never eaten mustard but I know I don't like and don't want it anywhere near my food. Not sure what a sheltered life has to do with anything 🤷♂️

I get it. That’s how I feel about marmalade and toast. Or just marmalade.

Mustard all the way! Ketchup isn’t great. I haven’t had it in years. I’ll eat it, but prefer mustard.
Oh, I haven’t had a hot dog in years either, but that’s how I used to eat them.

I have never eaten a hot dog with mustard or ketchup. Plain is the only way. Chili dog is ok, but to me that is a different meal all together.
I only dip my hamburger in ketchup - never put it directly on it if I can help it. Same for fries - only dip.
I wouldn't even eat the bun on a hamburger for a long time - and now I am kind of back that way again. I just like the patty on my plate.

I really dislike yellow mustard. I don't like the smell or taste. And it's simply too bright yellow in color to look appealing.
I do like Dijon mustard but mostly use it in cooking. I rarely ever use it as a condiment.

I love mustard. I never have less than 3 kinds in my fridge. Different food requires different mustard. I never met a mustard I didn't like.
So most of the people here have never had an authentic Chicago hot dog: mustard, sweet pickle relish, onion, tomato, dill pickle, sport peppers, celery salt. Definitely no ketchup. I love them.
I do like a regular old hotdog with ketchup, mustard, and relish. And coney dogs with mustard, coney sauce, and onions. I really like hot dogs.

I had no idea he was Satan.
Ketchup on a hot dog is a huge NOPE.
Either Chicago style or mustard with sauerkraut. Also really good with baked beans on it.

I'm a ketchup and mustard on hotdogs gal. Mayo and ketchup on cheeseburgers unless they have a good goopy sauce then I'm all over that!

Mustard and ketchup mixed on both hot dogs and hamburgers. I literally mix them first.
I’ll eat burgers many different ways. Swiss, mushroom, caramelized onion is my favorite. A local place does bacon, cheddar, and apple slaw burger that’s outstanding. No K or M needed there. I only like hot dogs with M & K mixed.
I don’t eat ketchup alone. I only eat mustard alone with pretzels.

Ummm, I have never eaten ketchup on a hot dog. 🤷♀️ I dislike ketchup. A lot. Mustard for me, please. The only food that I will eat with ketchup on it is meatloaf. Of course baked beans have ketchup. Fast food sandwiches too. But I do not put ketchup on food.
So, I don’t find AC odd. ☺️

The only acceptable mustard is spicy ground mustard.

When you watch Andersen enough, you realize so many things about him are just so different than most people. I love his backstory, his relationship with his mom, and his relationship with Andy Cohen.
This does not surprise me at all.

This just seems like something a parent would have fed you before you could decide if you liked something or not. I grew up on peanut butter and jelly.

I have never tried mustard on a hot dog. I know I hate mustard. Why try mustard on a hot dog if I know I hate mustard?

This does not surprise me at all. I agree. I even watched his short lived, but entertaining talk show. Back then, he stated that he would eat the exact same foods for days and days. He found comfort in the routine. I like him a lot.

I only eat ketchup on fried fish, sort of a small amount to enhance the flavor of the fish.
On RARE occasions I have dipped a French fry in ketchup, but it is a rare thing.
Why some people want to put lots of ketchup on food and drown the flavor of what is being eaten baffles me.

My husband will not eat mustard, catsup, mayo, or ranch dressing (really any salad dressing other than oil & vinegar). He has tasted them not on food but a little taste and hates them. They literally make him gag.
So I am not surprised that Anderson hasn't tried mustard on a hotdog.

I like mustard (preferable dijon) on my hot dogs. While I would never put ketchup on a hot dog, I love ketchup on lots of things including hamburgers, eggs and mac&cheese.
I love Anderson Cooper in spite of his eating preferences. This discussion reminds me of a televised casual interview that President Obama did in a diner. The interviewer (whose name I can't remember) put ketchup on a hotdog or something and Obama said "What are you, eight?"
Gretchen Rubin (The Happiness Project) praises the complexity of the taste of ketchup in her book "Life in 5 Senses."

This just seems like something a parent would have fed you before you could decide if you liked something or not. I grew up on peanut butter and jelly. My mom thought it was wasteful to put both peanut butter and jelly on one sandwich. I didn't have a PBJ until I was 30.

Anderson Cooper is a self-admitted VERY picky eater ... he makes it clear that he eats like a 5 year old! I never heard this in my life.. Hilarious. I probably could have a wonderful sit down meal with him, because I'm like a five year old myself. lol.. and with his background? That just cracks me up.

No mustard on anything here, but I don't put ketchup on my hamburgers either! I saw that last night. He did try the mustard though. It frequently surprises me what he has missed in life. In ways he seems so innocent... I don't think it is missing out... I'm with him.. picky eater.. and mustard, blech? Okay third post, sorry guys.. did I say I hated mustard? haha
