It's time for all new bedding. I want new sheet sets, a new duvet, Euro shams, the works.
I've always shopped at Macy's, usually the Hotel line for bedding but everything is SO blah and grey/greige I'm so tired of blah colorless home decor.
I'd love some gorgeous prints and good quality. Not like, French top of the line stuff, but nice, good quality that feels luxurious and will last me.
I've been looking at Pottery Barn but the last set of sheets from PBK I bought for DD, the pattern faded off so quickly I was ticked, I paid a lot for those sheets only for the pattern to wash out after only a few washings.
Do you have a company or brand you can recommend that fills my bill?

Well I bought the cutest quilt like bedding from Target not to long ago, on clearance. It's like the old fashion ticking (blue/white stripes)... I love it except for the fact I HATE that it doesn't fit my bed. I have a King bed and it is a King quilt and too short on the sides. It happens if I pay a lot or go cheap. ANYWAYS, good luck on your search.. I too feel like everything was dull looking. Grey/beige blah'ness.

I can't help much. I haven't done a total redo but I have gotten new sheets. I was buying the Wamsutta sheets from Bed, Bath and Beyond but they closed. I could order online but will they be the same? I like to feel my sheets. Anywho, I got the linen blend from Target. It won't fit the bill of not boring but for now, I need boring when I go to sleep. I need a respite and just a relaxing spot to fall into. These are wonderful! They have a bit of weight to them so summertime, I almost don't need a duvet or quilt. No matter the time of year, I do need a sheet covering me. I'm just one of those strange ones. Casaluna Linen Blend sheetsFor colorful, I would do a duvet and duvet cover. People swear by the Company Store for such. I grabbed my duvet from Costco and a duvet cover from Amazon. It was nice and linen like and comes in a lot of colors. However, I got it when the puppy was going through her wild child era. Digging to get a spot on the bed. NO MA'AM!! So she put 3 small rips into it. Yes, I could do a patch-up job but not gonna right now. By the time I need to the duvet again, I will have changed my color palette so it's all good. We have a nice, very light quilt on the bed now. Again, from Amazon. Our choices here are limited for shopping. Maybe check Home Goods or TJMaxx. They have some really nice brands in store at the moment.

For too long I have felt the industry hasn't kept up with the thickness of the mattresses and are still making the quilts and duvets for skinnier mattresses. The CK seems to take care of some of that. I have a CK quilt on mine now and you can't see the mattress at all. It hangs just past the top of the rails.

I used to like country cottage look bedding at Target. I have since switched out all my bedding, sheets, blankets and comforters to all white. I like the crisp clean look. All my towels are white too. Getting sheets that feel nice to me is the tricky part. I think one of my favorite sheet sets came from Tuesday Morning, so there’s that. But, everything is now all white.

We bought our duvet cover, quilt and shams from Pottery Barn, no issues with them holding up…we are on year 7. But, I bought my sheets from Macys (Hotel brand)…they are solid.

I just bought Brooklinen classic percale sheets and I like them, but they do wrinkle. I have bought the Better Homes & Gardens sheets at Walmart, and after 4 years, they are now wearing down. I also have the Macy's Hotel sheets and I hate them. They do not fit my queen size normal height (not deep at all) mattress. The corners won't go all the way down on the fitted sheet and the sheets have permanent wrinkles too. I bought my last quilt from Kohl's, it's Levtex brand and I love it!

FWIW we have a Cal King bed because DH is tall. Cal Kings are actually narrower and longer than a king. I have yet to find a duvet and cover that work well together and on the bed.

I have been buying linens from The Company Store for many years and I am pleased with them. They are expensive (everything is) but they hold up. I have also purchased sheets from the Joanna Gaines line at Target and those have been really holding up as well.

I buy all of my sheets from Amazon ... always have good luck! I have duvet covers from there as well and a really nice one from a great Canadian store called Urban Barn ... I have seen some nice stuff on the Wayfair website but haven't tried anything out yet!

I choose sheets based on the feel of them. I've used the walmart mainstays microfiber sheets for years.
I choose the top covering based on color and cuteness. Currently using Kohl's big one throw blanket, as my bedspread.

I buy my pillows and comforters from macys. I’ve bought bedding from pottery barn and was happy with it. I also really like Garnet Hill for bedding. My current linen shams and duvet cover are from west elm and I like them.

Duvets & pillows from The Company Store. Have been buying from them for 40 years and the quality is still excellent. Just bought a new king down duvet in the fall and love it. Sheets currently are from Boll & Branch. Very soft and they just get softer with time. The pockets on the fitted sheets are very generous, in fact almost too generous for my mattresses (13" deep). Used to swear by Hotel brand from Macy's but the last few sets I bought were garbage. Starting having holes/rips after just 12 months. They made changes in them 3-4 years ago and are not the same quality as the ones I bought 8-10 years ago. Read the reviews carefully if you go that route.

I LOVE getting new bedding and I switch out frequently, so I don't pay a ton for it. I mainly only buy from Target and TJMaxx.

I mainly only buy from Target and TJMaxx. okay I admit I'd love to do that more often but Lord, what do you do with all that bedding? I mean, I usually have a fall/winter set and a spring/summer set but that's about it. Do you just throw the older patterns out? I thought of giving to Goodwill but who wants to buy used bedding? IDK. It's a huge dilemma for me.

Okay thank you for all the suggestions, they are good ones! I'm checking out some of these online companies, thank you for the leads on this. It's fun but kind of stressful shopping for new bedding because dang it's SO much money. But worth it IMO. and you are right, and I agree **GypsyGirl** about Macy's Hotel line the past few years the quality has gone to shit. It used to be EXCELLENT. Now I go into the store and I am so disappointed in all that cheap crap they sell now.

It's the only thing my husband gets annoyed about my buying 🤣

please let me know. I have been on the hunt for a while and nothing.

Do you just throw the older patterns out? I thought of giving to Goodwill but who wants to buy used bedding? IDK. It's a huge dilemma for me. If they are still in usable condition, then feel free to donate them. People do buy used bedding for various reasons and uses. Another option is to check with local animal shelters and see what they accept. I donate old blankets, bath rugs and towels to a shelter here.

I have really liked the six pc sets from Northern Nights on QVC. they are deep enough for my very thick Hybrid Mattress the more you wash them the softer they get come in lots of pretty mostly pastel colours and the extra pillow cases are wonderful for my King bed.

Our current one is darker with more of a gray undertone. But it is closer than anything else I've found, thanks!

If you have a king bed, this won't help, but I buy comforters/ quilts, blankets etc in the next size up. For our queen bed, I buy king size and I buy queen size for full size.

It's the one thing that I buy that DH complains about me having too many of. None of them get used so long that they get ratty or worn really, because I switch them out when I wash them. The couple I wanted to be rid of became dog blankets in our dog's crates and one in the truck bed for her to use when we camp.

It's a huge dilemma for me. Tons of people buy bedding at Goodwill. (I don't) but I follow a couple of garage sale flippers and they buy the good name brand stuff and sell on ebay for a TON of money. It's CRAZY. I have sold almost all my used bedding at our garage sales. It always goes fast.
