I have no advice but that sounds so scary! I hope the doctors and med staff are able to find a plan to give her some relief and improve. She has got to be exhausted!

There are so many things that it can be. Get her to a good Gastroenterologist and they will find the answer. It could be gall bladder, appendicitis or diverticulitis. Too many to mention.

My first thought was POTS and gastroparesis, and I had never even heard of them until pantsonfire talked about them recently. I'm surprised that none of the doctors at your family practice or hospital had considered these things. I really doubt that it's got anything to do with the straw. My son has multiple drink bottles and at various times I've had to clean his filthy straws and bottles, and he's never been sick like that. Your daughter's symptoms seem way too severe to have been caused by a bit of dirt / mould on a straw. I really hope that you get definitive answers soon. Your poor daughter, what she has had to go through sounds horrendous.

How scary for all of you, my goodness. You must be so worried about her! I was also thinking about gastroparesis. I have a cousin who went through something very similar a few years ago when she was in her early 20s, and that is what she was eventually diagnosed with.
I hope she gets some answers soon because she sounds completely miserable.

My goodness, she has been having such an awful time, I can’t imagine what is causing it but I am so, so glad she’s going to a gastroenterologist. I hope they can find out what’s going on. Has she traveled out of the country within the past 6 months before she first started becoming ill? Be sure and mention the heart info to the doctor as well. I sure will be praying for her and for the doctors to be able to help her. She went to California for a few days right after the semester was over in May. They swam in the ocean. I even brought up the idea of parasites from the water to the ER doc. I forgot to write that in my notes.

I’m going to second the suggestion of POTS and the associated testing. Those symptoms sound very similar to my daughters when her POTS is particularly bad. It can come on pretty suddenly, if she looks back she may see other more mild symptoms she was able to ignore or brush off. If it is POTS, there are medications and lifestyle changes that can make symptoms much more manageable though the initial adjustment and figuring out what works can be rough. Zofran also doesn’t tend to help much for my daughter. It seems a bit counterintuitive but if you can get some protein in her it may help. My daughter also feels better if she limits her gluten and dairy intake. For the last couple of years, we have believed she's become lactose intolerant. I'll definitely bring this up.

I hope they find some answers. My daughter-in-law had several months of something similar especially with the throwing up in the morning and it being worse in the morning. They did a lot of tests for her I finally asked if they had looked at her gallbladder at all because she's young and thin and healthy. So they did look at her gallbladder and didn't find stones but they did some tests in her gallbladder was emptying excessively, they said it may or may not help to have it out and the one surgeon said she would take it out and she has been absolutely fine since then and doesn't even have any post gallbladder removal digestive issues. I hope this doctor is thorough and looking at all the things and can get her on the right path whatever it may be.

Sounds a lot like POTS and GastroparesisThis was my first thought as well. We had an ABA therapist that worked with my son. This developed when she was working with him. She was a VERY tough 18 year old. She worked on a farm, she did Rodeos, and this gutted her. From what I understand, it does tend to be a bit rare. I cannot remember all the specifics, but she also lost LOTS of weight when she couldn't afford to. Everything you described reminds me so much of what she went through.

Our beaches haven't had any toxic warnings from run off just shark closures.

I have POTS and, lucky me, I'm one of the most severe cases of gastroparesis in the world. The diagnosis is made by very specialized motility tests.
Honestly, I'm not a doctor and won't say what she has, but I've never thown up as violently as when I needed to have my gallbladder removed. It came out of the blue and suddenly I did the Linda Blair hurl and it was violent. Your gi can get to the bottom of this. I think she'll need a CT scan of her abdomen.
Please don't jump to the worst stuff. At this point it could be a little something. Take it one step at a time. I'm saying this and as a mama I would be worried, too.

What was her sed rate? Any high or low red blood count, white blood count, etc?

Have the doctors tested for norovirus and/or H.pylori? When I had norovirus, I couldn't keep food down for days, and when my coworker had H.pylori, her main symptom was nonstop vomiting and rapid weight loss. Hugs to your daughter and wishes for quick healing! Noro virus is highly contagious at this point someone else/many would also be sick. My baby nephew brought it to a family cabin trip, in a week it had hit 8/10 of us. The last 2 my dd and my brother never got it. It also ran through my kids middle school. They had 50+% of students and teachers out. Norovirus, yes (although neither my now-DH or my mother caught it while caring for me, nor did any of the five coworkers who were in a conference room with me literally minutes before the vomiting started). H.pylori is far less contagious, though, and my coworker sure had a lot of the same symptoms I had with norovirus when she came down with it. I do believe that my coworker had to provide a stool sample, though it's been several years since that happened, so my memory is fuzzy on that.

A guy in college vomited excessively and was always nauseous- he had migraines in his stomach! So very weird. Maybe something you can ask about? I know it took forever to get diagnosed.
Much love to you all! Hope you get some answers soon and she’s feeling better.

Dairy intolerance & celiac can go hand in hand as the proteins attach similarly and confuse the body at times. The issue with celiac is that there are over 200 symptoms, some of the symptoms are opposites and 2 people with celiac won’t necessarily present the same symptoms. Whatever it is, I hope you can get a diagnosis for your DD and she can begin to heal. Do not let them tell her it’s all in her head, or it’s anxiety, while those medical conditions exist, they are so often used as excuses to move on from a female patient that they don’t know what’s going on.

I don't know what a "T7" inversion is, but a T wave inversion can be caused by low potassium, among other things. Which can be cause by excessive vomiting and diarrhea. Whether or not it's significant usually depends on the situation and what lead it's in.
The dehydration can cause the fainting.
I agree with the other poster that abdominal migraines might be something to investigate, but I'm not a GI expert. I just know it fits with the symptoms and sudden onset without another identifiable cause.
I'm glad she's getting in with the GI doc today! I hope you all get some answers soon and that she can find relief. She should go easy on the zofran. Zofran is ondansetron (generic version), so your description of what she got are the same thing. It can cause QT prolongation. Fortunately she had another recent EKG so I'm sure that's something they looked at, but I wanted you to know that those are the same med, so she's not doubling up on it. The suppositories are not the same med, obviously.

Any chance she smokes weed? If so, sounds like CHS Yes, this too! Seems to be more common with the edibles in what I've seen in the hospital. At first I thought it was a BS diagnosis but we see it a lot now. Today's weed is not the same as when we and our parents were young!
