Hotel California - I like the first 30 minutes (a small exageration) of it but it goes on and on and on.
Muskrat Love - Who even came up with such a stupid song
Any song that Whitney Houston ever sang!

This Is Me from Greatest Showman. I’ve been practising this one all day gar for a Pride gig we’re doing soon. I won’t send you a video of our performance! 😄 I hope you love it! It irritates me so much now I turn off the car radio or whatever when I hear it or I know it’ll be in my head for the rest of the day 😱 I love seeing your videos - but I’ll fast forward through that one 😄

I cannot stand the song "Don't you want me" by Human League.
It makes me think of all the people (especially woman) trapped in relationships or situations....that for whatever reason (money, sociopath behavior, no help from anyone, no confidence, lack of inner strength, etc...)..... they can't leave.
I was one of those women. Thankfully I was finally able to leave the abuse and the marriage. Hearing that song makes my heart hurt, for women who are trapped in abusive (physical, verbal, emotional, mental) situations.

If a songwriter writes two notes for a word, why do people think that singing twelve notes instead makes someone a good singer?! 😄

Any song that ExH liked makes me cringe now. Luckily, we didn't have a huge overlap.

I’ve got one that I particularly dislike (well I don’t really dislike the actual song) because it is my name, it is sung to me all the time, it is/was played way to often on too many different stations, and it is kind of an iconic song so it seems to have sticking power. If I had a quarter for every time I heard it or had it sung to me I wouldn’t have to work. 😆. I am sure there are others that i could name but will have to think about it…this one came to mind immediately. "Michelle," by the Beatles? That one's on my list! 🤣 There are very few Beatles songs that I like.

Ugh.
This made me laugh. Dd3 was in high school dance team and freshman year they had three routines for competition (besides other things they did) and these two songs were two of the three dances. The numbers of times I heard them that year!!! That wouldn’t have went well for you! 🤣 the Lourde song won them 1st place in state though. lol

The songs I hate mostly connect me to an event or emotion and that's why I hate them.
Lee Ann Womack - I Hope You Dance is one of them. My ex-best friend who was having an affair with my ex husband gave me this book/CD of this song and I will always connect it to them. ugh
My husband loathes Bon Jovi. By the 2nd note he knows if it's a song by them and immediately the song is changed.

Anything by Mariah Carey. She immediately gets turned off. I have been scrolling through, reading everyone's comments, thinking that several of the songs people can't stand are some of my favorites. Baby Got Back is one I will turn up and belt out every time I hear it... But then I got to this comment. I could not agree more. I know she has a voice and can sing, but I do not like her voice, it is all too much for me. I feel the same about Idina Menzel.

Am I allowed to pick whole genres of music? Otherwise my list will be immense. 😂
I do not like heavy metal, 80s hair bands, even though loads dopey boys have commented on what awesome hair band hair I have. Umm not a compliment boys! Rap, EDM, the weird chill music my dh used to listen to, most country music.
Damn that is a long list. I suck at this thread. Lol

My dislikes are more for entire artists rather than just one song. Mine are:
Red Hot Chilli Peppers Tracy Chapman Alanis Morissette
There are others, but these are the main ones.

I where do I start? I hate the overly produced pop songs of today with inane lyrics. I hate all today’s music done by auto-tuned singers. I hate that distinctive 80’s synth keyboard sound-instantly dates music. I hate country songs with toxic male themes and lyrics. Also 70s and 80s arena rock.
