I've done pretty much everything mentioned except for eating squirrel which I would not consider common. I'm not into the fantasy genre, so I've never seen any LOTR.

I have done everything listed here except squirrel (weird one but whatever) and a cruise. Neither appeal to me.

I grew up eating squirrel and rabbit and we fished often and always had fish we'd caught in the freezer. Curry Squid Octopus Squirrel Where is squirrel common to eat? Seriously asking. I have eaten lots of things others would find unusual but squirrel strikes me as very unusual.

Never have had a manicure or pedicure or massage. Never had my hair professionally dyed, only box jobs a couple times. Never been in tanning bed(don't want to). Never been on a cruise. Never had room service. Never done a food delivery(door dash etc) only have done pizza delivery on vacation. Never been to super pricey fancy restaurant. Never had my car detailed. Never had a yard service mow my yard. Never have had someone else come clean. Never have had central heat and air since leaving home at 18. Never got a tattoo. Never done weed in any form. Never went skiing of any form. Never been on a jetskii or 4 wheeler Never been in my attic-haha-i ain't going up the pull down ladder, lived here 29 years. Never bought a brand new car, and won't. Never had a matching bedding set. Never had many items new, couch, bed, furniture all given to us over the years.
That said my son in law makes really good curry. He uses a golden curry seasoning box from Walmart. Not sure how authentic it is or whatnot but it's GOOD.

An actual vacation. You know the kind, you take a week off work and get on a plane and go explore some place far away that's beautiful. My thoughts are along the same lines but I feel like I should qualify them for transparency. I’ve traveled places for a previous career but I literally got off the plane, did what I had to do, got back on the plane, then went home.

S&B Golden Curry is authentic Japanese curry. It is a bit different than Indian curry though. Japanese curry tends to be sweeter and they use different spices.

Ok I found something - I’ve never had air conditioning haha. (So suprised how many people haven’t had curry - it’s one of the most common things I cook - and I’ve ordered it out countless times - don’t you all go to Indian and Thai restaurants lol?)

In general, I don't go to either kind of restaurant. I have been, I just don't normally. I like Thai food but I'm not really a fan of most Indian food. I don't think it's that uncommon to not eat either kind of food, in the US, especially if you grew up/live in rural areas.

Curry, but in the States, I think it is pretty commom not to have tried curries. Much more common for our Aussie and Brit friends. I have tried Indian food, once, long ago. I think we probably had Tandoori chicken. I love Indian food/curry so much I've eaten it cold for breakfast! I wouldn't know a flat white if it came up and slapped me in the face. I've never been to an arena concert. Never taken non-prescribed drugs. What is a flat white? Cindy

Oh wow, I'm surprised at how many people haven't tried curry! We don't have the Indian in fish and chips shops type thing in Australia but there are Thai places everywhere as well as Indian, Malaysian, Vietnamese etc. Interesting that it seems like curry is a blanket term like they are all the same? Thai and Indian curries for example are very different to each other, really different flavour profiles.
Mine: I have never seen snow

I have never owned a cat or a dog. We had some goldfish when I was a kid and my DD’s brought home some guppies or something from school, but those are the only pets I’ve ever had.

The first snow of the season, when it is dark, I go for a big walk around my neighborhood just breathing in the cold air and enjoying the falling snow. Hot, humid weather always makes me feel like I can't breathe. The crispness of winter air is something incredible to breathe in. And that's not even to mention how gorgeous colored Christmas lights look outdoors shining through a light layer of snow. I will never live where I don't experience a real winter, unless of course climate change kills it in my lifetime. Last winter Jeremy only had to get out the snowblower twice. 😪 If you'd like to come visit me in late December, I'd love to take you on a winter walk. 😉

I’d never been to a Waffle House or seen boiled peanuts for sale in the convenience store until yesterday. lol
I feel like a lot of things mentioned are common but not really that unusual for people to have not done them. There are a lot of people that aren’t into tattoos or want to try sushi. Waterskiing isn’t common everywhere, needs equipment and physical ability and can be dangerous.
Never ordering food ever (even pizza), never taking a vacation, not having a cell phone—-definitely unusual.

I don’t feel so dim about flat whites now cindytred asked as well. I’ve probably been in Starbucks about 5 times in my life and never had a coffee there. I avoid coffee mostly but all the different types intimidate me. Someone mentioned curry must be a blanket term as the food types are so different. I think in my group we tend to mean any type of Asian food so if someone says do you fancy a curry, we’ll decide if we want Indian, Thai, Vietnamese etc and possibly none of us would have an actual curry at that point. Here the fish and chip shops often serve curry sauce which is a bit like a thick, slightly spicy gravy. It’s very popular but a million miles away from a genuine curry.

I've done most of things listed here. Squirrel, drugs, curry. Yes to those.
I have never had an Instagram, TikTok, or Twitter/X acct. I haven't had Thai food, because I'm allergic to coconut and the risk seems high. I've never been to a concert in an arena, nor any of those music fest things like Coachella, Lollapoolza. I've never been to Mexico, though I have lived in Southern CA for 30 years. I've never had a coffee.

Living in Melbourne we have been to the snow back when the kids were little but I would be happy if I never saw it again. We've just come back to Australia following a trip to Canada/Alaska. It was hubby's idea so I went along with it. I was hoping that May/June we would miss snow. Unfortunately there was still lots of snow and lakes were still frozen. It got to the stage that I just didn't want to go outside. Give me the hot weather anytime. I'm hoping that is the last time I ever experience snow. I absolutely detest cold weather. Weird I know that I live in Melbourne and its freezing here at the moment. But not cold enough to snow thank goodness and my house feels like a sauna the heat is up so high. There are not many of these things I haven't done. I don't have a tattoo and have definitely not eaten squirrel and I don't have airconditioning. But that's about all I can think of.

Being in England we don't much snow these days at all and I also hate the cold but when our DDs were small we went to Lapland to see Santa and the amount of snow (and the whole atmosphere, lighting etc) was completely magical. We had log cabins in the woods and it was just like a fantasy land. That's probably the most snow I'll ever see and I loved it for those few days but maybe that was partly because we were given all the super insulated snow suits etc so barely noticed the cold

It was some of the best food I've ever had but I can't find it here in DFW even though we have a large Asian area not far from me. He moved and is about an hour away from DC proper so I don't think we'll be going back. I've made it my mission to try and find it. Can't remember what I ate but it was so good!

Squirrel was on the list of my dad’s favorite food. I can’t stand it, and I even hate the smell of it cooking, but Dad could eat his weight in squirrel LOL. So could my grandfather. This was in WV, and I know a lot of people who still go squirrel hunting. I’m pretty sure it is the same throughout Appalachia.
