We bought our house new 28 years ago. All appliances came with it except the washer and dryer. We bought Maytag's first edition of front loader washer and matching dryer. The washer lasted 17 years, it never smelled even though I couldn't leave the washer door open because the laundry room is too small. The dryer hung on an extra year. Now have a Speed Queen washer and I can't remember which dryer.
The gas stove top we got rid of when it was about 6 years old, because it was a bitch to clean. Replacement is a stainless steel Dacor that I couldn't love more. It's now 22.
The refrigerator was a side by side white Kitchen Aid that we sold after 18 years because we wanted a stainless steel French door style. We have an LG that has been awesome.
The microwave and wall oven were replaced when they were 20 due to the wall oven having issues. We got a deal on a Maytag wall oven that came with a microwave, in stainless steel. They have been great.
The stand up fridge in our garage is probably 30 years old. We bought it used. It has never had an issue.
The original dishwasher had problems right out the gate, so we bought a white Bosch, so things would match. When we started moving to stainless steel, we put a stainless steel looking wrap on it. 2 months ago it died, and the appliance guy couldn't fix it. We replaced it with a stainless steel Bosch. I miss my old one. This one makes no sense to load, it takes way longer to run a load, the dishes never dry, and it always looks like crap because there is no way to close it without leaving finger prints. I want my old one back.
Overall I have had amazing luck with appliances.

I am absolutely afraid to even say, for fear of one of them dying. Washing Machine 31 years old (Kenmore) Gas Dryer 26 years old (Kenmore)
Refrigerator 31 years old Electric Stove 26 Years old Microwave 8 years old upright freezer I think about 15 years old. I hated that our original wasn't frost free, so I bought a new one along the way

I have a dryer that is 2015 and a Bosch dishwasher that came with the house. It was the only thing saved in the 2022 kitchen gut.. Everything else is two years or less. Wait! We do have a lovely harvest gold fridge in the garage. She was bought used in the 80's. Forgot about her.

My stove and refrigerator (both Kenmore) are from 1989, so 35 years old. They are "almond" colored (off white) - they don't even make that color anymore.

My upright freezer is 37 years old. My washer and dryer are 30 years old My range is just 2 years old and I hate it (induction) My Fridge was just bought last October (G.E.) I like it but I am doubting the plastic latch you have to pull to open up the ice part is going to last very long.

Our oven/stove, dryer, and refrigerator are all 3.5 years old and all Samsung. Our washing machine crapped out the day after Christmas in 2022 and we replaced it (the repair bill was $650). Our dishwasher died in March of 2023 and again, the repair bill was $600+ so we replaced it. I was not happy we had to replace 2-year-old appliances!

Our appliances are pretty new. We just replaced our 22 year old appliances within the past 2-3 years. - The refrigerator was on it's last leg. - The oven was fine but I turned it on with a cutting board inside which melted all over the inside of the oven and got into the heating elements. - The microwave door was cracked and it looked as the handle was breaking off a bit.
Back in the early 80's my parents replaced our refrigerator - I want to say 1982, 1983 the latest. When my mother moved out of that apartment in 1992, she gave it to a neighbor. It was still working as of Christmas 2023 but there was a huge fire in the building and that was the end of that. (Thankfully - everyone survived the fire). But 40 years and counting - that thing was a workhorse!!!

We have two refrigerators…an Amaña side by side that is at least 30 years old and has never had a problem. The other one is a Haier, smaller with a bottom freezer, no problem. We HAD a Westinghouse dryer that was purchased in 1955 when my mother said no more hanging diapers. It lasted 45 years. My brother once took the motor out to replace it and the repair shop said it only needed a belt. Everything newer has been replaced numerous times…washers, stoves, dishwashers. I had a Siemens by Bosch dishwasher, but the electronic panel quit and it was cheaper to buy a new one. The new Whirlpool is really loud…I used to check to see if the Siemens was actually working.

Ours are almond as well and when we updated our kitchen 10 years ago, we didn't need new appliances, so we opted out, but trying to find an above the stove microwave in the same color... It was fun looking 10 years ago, I cant even imagine now.

Now I have a black one - oh well.

We bought our house in 2009. The fridge, washer and dryer were bought new and haven’t been replaced. Stove and dishwasher are from when previous owner redid their kitchen in the 90s.
We do want to replace them, but that gets into how big a remodel we want to do. Our kitchen is tiny and we don’t have a proper place to eat for more than 2 people. We’ve always wanted to push out the back of the house to add space in the kitchen, increase the primary bedroom and add a bathroom. Which is a lot to take on.
