I need to create two photo collages to finalize my DD2022. I have to finish 2019 and start 2020, 2021 and 2023. My plan for 2024 is to use these Currently chipboard tabs from Elle's Studio as 24 page prompts. I've been making December albums since 2008 so I'm excited to mix things up. What an amazing idea - I’m adding this to my list of “things to try for dd if I get bored”. I did an a to z one year and had fun trying to think of things for each letter of the alphabet 😁 My 2022 December album that I'm alllllllmost done with is an A to Z. It was so fun to think in terms of subject instead of chronology. |

I think I have gained 10 pounds watching Hallmark Christmas movies and eating frozen hot chocolate.
Now I need to get my craft space cleaned up and actually finish some projects.

I am obsessing about my Christmas card design this weekend! One side of my brain is screaming “too early!” And the other side is trying to fool me into making dozens of stenciled and layered die cut cards. AS IF. The rational part of my brain is telling me to buy some really nice Paper Rose Christmas collections and focus on what I love to do for mass production - cut and paste patterned paper. I’m also hoping to find a really good Santa that speaks to me. I’ve been saving some to a wishlist but I’m surprised how few there are. For the obsessing, I blame Waffle Flower and their postage collage sets. And Jennifer McGuire. I might “need” this word stencil/die/stamp set. joblackford that is super cool. Maybe you can just use a stamp set and make a few cards instead of investing in the set. That way the bug would be out of your system and you could batch make something more practical. I have a similar font in an alpha and it's fun to use. It's from back in the day, actual rubber and all that.

Checking in now that we're halfway through July. I've made 35 christmas cards thus far. I really want to make a couple DD type mini albums, but when I tried last week I had a hard time getting started. So I put the supplies away and went back to making cards. joblackford the WF christmas release is a great one. I want those stencils you mentioned above, and the retro christmas tree die & stencils. oh and the whole postage stuff, too. Trying to resist though, because I don't need more new things, especially not holiday new things. Good luck on your santa search! caspad I'm so glad you shared those "currently" tabs. I love your idea and I'm absolutely going to copy it.  |

I am on holiday atm and have been sick, but still getting to do a little crafting each day. I used the Waffle Flower Season’s Greetings paper pad (https://krafterscart.co.nz/products/waffle-flower-seasons-greetings-paper-pad?_pos=25&_sid=915a3c9a0&_ss=rz) to get me into the mood and made some die cut pieced cards with those. Plain and simple. Lovely paper to work with. Now I have moved into my Pretty Little Studio Comfort and Joy cards for my favourite pretty paper shuffling cards. I LOVE the vellum sheets in particular. Well, my goal was simply to have my junk journal constructed and ready to decorate, and though I've done very little so far, I still think that shouldn't be an issue. I do have all of my base papers chosen. I tea/coffee dyed just a few. In scrapbooking I don't like to mix bright whites with antiqued looking papers, but in a junk journal I actually like that look. I separated them into 3 signature piles and have them binder clipped together in the proper order. And I chose a big envelope for my cover. So I just need to punch the holes in the signatures, make the envelope into an actual cover, then sew in the signatures. Honestly, the harder part of that will be decorating the cover before I bind it all together since I have very limited Xmas things unpacked and available to use right now. So I may just bind it as is and decorate later. |

I'm about to start rewatching old JYC videos. And I might even make a foundation page or two  I seem to be skipping from project to project right now, and as long as I'm happy and crafting, it doesn't bother me. Feeling like I could use some Christmas spirit, though. |

Ok, my journal is correctly sewn together now, and ready for decorating. So, now I have to see if I can scrounge up some things around the house to decorate it with. That's a lot more fun than re-sewing in signatures.  |

Happy to see this thread! I finished my 2023 DD in January, but still have 2022 to put together, and 2021 and 2019 need finishing...
If you're into Ali's digitals, most of the last couple of years' DD digital kits and templates are $0.99 each. This is a steal for me, so I stocked up. Bought 8 items, less than $8 total, "regular" price almost $80.

I love doing Christmas cards in July. They’re my favorite to make and I love getting a head start on the 100 or so cards I’ll make this year. I went through my Christmas stuff to see what I have and to weed stuff out. I have enough supplies to make most, if not all of the cards I’ll need. Nothing in my stash excites me though. Unfortunately I haven’t seen any new Christmas lines that excited me either. I guess I’ll use up my stash and hope no one gets a card that’s too similar to a card they’ve received from me before.
