on the way! You may remember that I had asked if I could send diapers and let wordfish know that I'd like to invite anyone here on the board who is interested to participate. Today I received a link to the registry along with a very sweet note from wordfish. And there are items way more exciting than diapers! If you’d like to join me in celebrating TRIPLETS coming soon, please check out Emily Hannon's baby registry: www.amazon.com/baby-reg/14GDODCUTA1Q2?ref=br_search_v2_desktop_res_1If you choose to participate, please enter your 2peasrefugees name in the gift comments section of the Amazon order form or PM wordfish if you'd like to let her know of your gift. From wordfish: I want to thank you again for your generosity in celebrating my daughter's upcoming babies!! It is so thoughtful of you and my daughter was really touched that someone we've never met in person would be willing to do this for them. Thank you so much! There is no expectation that anyone will want to do this... but I wanted to extend the invitation if you're so moved. hugs, flanz

Thank you for doing this flanz. You’re always so thoughtful. ❤️
I’ve placed my order. Which removed my items from the registry, I guess. Thanks again.

Aww, you guys are very sweet. I know my daughter and son-in-law will appreciate it. They've been very blessed already so please don't feel bad if it's not a good time--they are doing great. Thank you again, flanz. This was very generous and thoughtful of you.

Thank you again, flanz. This was very generous and thoughtful of you. Silly question before I place my order… You said they are doing great already. If you had to choose between diapering supplies, feeding supplies and toys (I’ll probably get 1 of a couple of categories, and I’m sure lots of people have purchased clothes, as per usual.) which would you say they need more of? I mean, the good thing about wipes is they can be used for lots of things, but I wouldn’t want to get those if they already have hundreds of them. Thanks, and again, congratulations!

You are very thoughtful--thank you so much. I don't think they have a ton of wipes yet, and those are always useful. I don't think they have a lot of toys yet, either. The last time I checked the clothes stash they didn't have as much as I would have thought, but probably a good amount now. They have a diaper fund, which is awesome, and a decent start on diapers, maybe 10-20 packs by now? I'm not 100% sure. It freaked them out when they realized the babies would be going through 750-950 diapers a month at first. (To be honest, it kind of freaked me out too.) That's nuts. My daughter had initially thought she would do the cloth diapering thing--she's pretty environmentally conscious--but I think that's one of the first things that went out the window when they learned there would be three little diapers at a time.

Thanks dear friends. You're all awesome with big hearts! wordfish, I wonder if there is a pharmacy or other store that sells diapers that might gift you guys some when the babies are born? Can you think of an entity nearby that might do that? Back in the olden days there might have been an article in the local paper about triplets being born, and the community might have wanted to pitch in.

You guys--thank you so very much for your kindness and generosity. The timing of your gifts was pretty amazing and my daughter and son-in-law were so touched by this. Just a little update: On Sunday night, my daughter had a complication. Everyone is okay but she was having a lot of pain and has had to completely stop working. Her mobility is much more limited. Because she really needs help and we are trying to help her husband preserve his leave for when the babies arrive, my husband is heading out to California this weekend. He will probably be there for two months or so, and will be taking her to her appointments because she really can't drive and is not able to navigate trekking from the parking lot to the hospital/doc office. She also can't really be on her feet long enough to cook dinner, etc. He has made arrangements to work remotely while he is there. I will be there in about 3 weeks, or when I get the call if it's sooner.
Anyway, your gifts started arriving after she made her way back from a Monday doc appointment and was pretty discouraged and in pain. They were so amazed by all of this and especially the gift receipts, which had all your usernames. They thought that was so cute. My son-in-law thought "2 Peas" was a website for parents of multiples. Heh. My daughter, of course, knew the score. My other two daughters, who also know what 2Peas is, were also grateful to see this unfold, as they are worried about their sister.
Again--everyone is okay. My daughter didn't tell me I could share the specific details of the complication so if I sound like I'm being deliberately vague, that's why. My husband arrives Saturday morning, and next week begins the final weeks of multiple appointments per week, so it sounds like he's getting there just in time. He is really great about nurturing his family and I am so glad he had the foresight to start working on getting this arranged with his employer as soon as we realized she was expecting triplets. Like me, he had the immediate reaction of "oh man. This is going to be very tough" and was worried immediately.
Thank you again, so much. My son-in-law brings the packages from the doorstep to my daughter and they open them together. This really, really, really could not have come at a better time and it was so appreciated.

So sorry that there's a complication and hoping it's just a temporary setback. ((( hugs ))) It's amazing that your nurturing husband can go and help out now. How lucky are they? AND.... how does anyone do this with a triplet+ pregnancy without major extra help? @patter and other moms of multiples, I hope you had plenty of extra hands on deck when your babies were born, and before, if needed. I can't even imagine having twin, TBH.
I'm thinking you wish you could drop everything and accompany your husband to SD now too. Glad you'll have the peace of mind knowing that your DH is there supporting them in a big way.
I'm glad that our gifts are helping lift their spirits as they await their three wee miracles!

We did not have any help. We were not part of a church family, and our family lived in TX and we were in SC. It was just hubby and I before and after. We did finally move to TX when the girls were 3 1/2 so we had Mom and Dad after that point. We had a great routine though (hubby and I). Girls were on a schedule (had to be). We were tired but we did it. I don't remember when they got any teeth, crawled, walked, first words, etc. Oh well. Not important. They will be 30 this year. WOW! How did that happen?

And now I look back, and I am SO thankful I had triplets. There is no way I could do 3 kids in different schools, sports, etc. The package deal was much better. LOL!

Hi! I'm back again to thank all of you, especially you, flanz . My daughter is still doing well, everybody is okay, but she has had to severely curtail her activities. As a result, her husband is bringing in the MANY packages you guys have sent them. She said it has made him very happy, as he is the one who is opening the packages and laundering the clothes that they have received this past week. He is also very amused and charmed by all the usernames. She wanted me to make sure I thanked you all very much for your kindness and generosity. They were quite amazed by all of the gifts that have arrived this past week. She had an iron infusion last week and that has given her a bit more energy and cleared up some of the mental fog she has apparently had going on. When I talked with her Friday evening, she was working on thank you cards . My husband arrived in San Diego yesterday morning and is gearing up to help take care of Emily starting tomorrow (her husband is around over the weekend). There are lots of appointments this next week. I also thank you all so much. It was so very thoughtful and it's been fun seeing the screenshots of all the gift receipts with the usernames. The whole family is so amused and delighted by all of this. It came along at a really good time to brighten spirits--they are in the home stretch now! Tomorrow marks 30 weeks.

Thank you wordfish. You're very welcome. I'm so glad we were able to brighten their days at a stressful time, and imagining them giggling at our user names makes me smile. I'm guessing it's not unexpected that Emily needs to slow down significantly. Growing three humans at once is A LOT!! our dd is just ahead of her gestation wise, and with ONE baby growing, she's feeling like the accommodations are growing tight! And please, I don't need a thank you card. Let's take stuff off of Emily's mental and physical to do list! You are thanking us on her behalf.
