I was curious as to how you were storing your metal dies. Lately a lot of companies have been selling a package of 4 or 5 dies. I have bought several and I have loose dies now and I am afraid I am going to loose them. I have others in Quickutz folders, but they do not make those anymore.
Any ideas on how to store them in a way where it is not bulky storage? I just do not want to loose them...
Thanks!

It depends on whether you want them to be portable or not. I don't need mine to be portable because I host crops, so I bought a HUGE picture frame, adhered the magnetic sheets in 8.5x11 to the glass and hung it on the wall to store them above my Big Shot.
You could cut magnetic sheets up and put them in pocket pages in a binder I suppose.
I'm sure the others will have good ideas.

I keep mine in the Art Bin container made for thin dies. It has magnetic sheets that fit inside the bin. I found a case just like the art bin at M's, that I use, but I tried the craft magnetic sheets cut to fit and they were not strong enough to hold the dies and the Art Bin ones are much stronger.
I like this as I can take them when I go to crops, but does not take up much room. I have no wall space left on my scrap room walls, but I like the frame idea, gloryjoy.

I use the Artbin die storage container as well. I didn't even think about it twice when I first saw it. It was too easy of a solution to pass up.

I store mine in a 3 ring binder in Martha Stewart secure top page protectors from Staples. They come in a variety of configurations and have a flap so the dies don't fall out.
I use a little magnetic sheet in each pocket to hold the dies in place and keep sets together. I've tried a variety of systems and like this the best.

Another one who uses the Michael's version of the ArtBin storage thing-y. I did end up using craft magnetic sheets that I cut down. They are flimsier, like berta said, but they were cheaper. I don't have many, so I am also able to fit my embossing folders & Cuttlebug plates in mine.

I don't know how I missed this! Worthless for me though, I've been collecting these dies for 10 years. I bought a lot that people were dumping for the Cricut and other electronic cutters. It would cost a fortune to put all mine in these. Most of mine are in zipped three ring binders in either the 2x2 slide or coin pages, the bigger ones in the Martha Stewart fold over page protectors.
ArtBin WOULD be good for the QK Cookie Cutter alphabet sets and other cookie cutter dies. I used to store them in a similar fashion on magnet sheets inside a Sterilite plastic shoe box. I now store the alphabets on magnet sheets in a small Sterilite drawers. The QK and other nested sets that I use a lot are in a ziplock Clip-it-up system.

Little B makes magnetic storage folders. They seem pretty strong (I was at their booth at CHA and shook the folder to see if the small dies would fall out). But I haven't tried them myself. My LSS closed so the Little B order never went in.

I use something very similar to this as well - and I just flip through to what I want. When I go to a crop, I take me BS and the baggie with the die I want to use....works for me, but I don't have oodles of dies (yet!)

I store all of my stamps in CD or DVD cases, so my dies (with the exception of some longer border dies) are all in CD cases (you take out the spindle). I bought self-adhesive magnetic strips and usually put two in a CD case and then put the dies on. It works for me because they all fit on the same shelf as the stamps, and then they are all portable in the same case when I take it to crops.

I'm on my phone and can't link photos, but I've found a variety of methods for storage. They are on the Two Peas site in My Projects if the site is still up.
I use 8 1/2 x 11 magnet sheets mounted to chipboard for my CC dies. I found some clear plastic file folders at Staples that I store them in. I have two file folder holders meant to place on a desk where I store them.
Borders are in a decorative chipboard box I bought at Mikes, cut down to fit height-wise. I keep my 2x2 alphabets in little storage drawers I found at the Container Store. . Other 2x2 and 4x4 dies are in QK binders. And 4x8 fonts are in a CD binder. I'll try to put pics up tonight.
Oh, I almost forgot-I have a 24x30 frame that I took out the glass and put in a magnet sheet. It hangs above my die cutters and is handy for frequently used dies and quick cards.

This is how I store mine too. This works really well for me since I have a lot of stamps with matching dies. I also just take individual envelopes with me to crops.

I store 2x2, 4x4, & 4x8 dies in QK zip-around binders, cookie cutter dies in the QK magnetic folders, & 12" borders in a wire bin. I temporarily store frequently-used dies on my wrapping paper covered inspiration board (Ikea Spontan). If you have an Ikea nearby & wall space (or the back of a door) available, the inexpensive Spontan magnetic board will hold numerous loose dies. HTH & best wishes!

For the thin dies I made my own.
I used the page protectors from a couple of unused 6x6 scrapbooks (I think they were SEI).
Cut down chipboard to size, covered both sides with scrapbook paper, glued on around a 3" strip of magnetic paper to the centre of each side.
Put these pages into the page protectors.
Made and decorated chipboard covers and held it all together with book rings.
The thick dies are just lined up in really useful boxes.

But I use the mini binders that are 8.5"x5.5". It makes it more portable and easier for me to organize and flip through the pages.
