Good morning.
Windows are all installed, but they have trim and screens and other stuff both inside and outside. So, this will go into next week. My neighbor is home and resting. I'm taking his wife to a doctor's appt 1/2 hour away. Dh will be on call for help in case our neighbor has a medical crisis.
Dinner will be pizza. We're ordering pizza for the window team and dh will have a slice for dinner w/a salad.
What's on your menu?
What is everyone up to this weekend? I plan to really rest. I'm fried.
Wishing our wonderful and wise jeremysgirl a very Happy Birthday Weekend. May your year be filled w/healing, joy and lots of laughter. Happy Birthday, my friend.
sueg, how is your family doing? I'm holding you in my thoughts.
May this weekend bring fun, R&R and healing for those tribe members who are in need or have a loved one in need.

The neighbors are lucky to have you and Mr Scrapmaven. Wishing our wonderful and wise jeremysgirl a very Happy Birthday Weekend. May your year be filled w/healing, joy and lots of laughter. Happy Birthday, my friend. I really appreciate that. Tomorrow is my birthday. I will be 49. I am hoping Jeremy gets home by 2 so we can leave by 3. My boss said I could go early. I do not know what we will have for dinner. Ludington is not a culinary capital. LOL! I am most certain wherever we eat, I'm going to have to be a pain in the ass about my food requirements. It is a very small, sleepy sort of town. Perfect for a getaway where you want to get away from everything. Speaking of getting away from everything, I will not have my phone. It is an intentional choice. I really want to unplug. So if you wish me a happy birthday tomorrow or late today, know that is why I'm not responding, not that I'm inconsiderate. I was in Joann's this morning and you all know I love, love, love Halloween. The decorations were so amazing, I could have cleaned out the store. I bought just a couple of things reminding myself I needed to hurry anyway so I could force myself to think about what items I can really justify adding to my extensive (more than Christmas) collection. I posted a few things in the craft thread that did make it home. But, if you love scary Halloween, get thee to Joann's, my friends.

Happy Friday!
Working on my last social media client for the month today. They're an HVAC company out of Florida and they like posts about dogs and funny things so they are fun to write for. Thanks to ChatGPT, it makes social so much easier!
Tonight I will finally have the Honey Baked ham I got on Tuesday. I'm sure I'll end up freezing some of it if my parents don't come over. My mom is having a procedure on her back to burn some nerves so I hope it gives her some relief.
Hope you all have a great day!

Happy birthday, jeremysgirl ! Enjoy your getaway! scrapmaven I hope your weekend is relaxing and peaceful. My nephew is getting married this weekend and I’m on Mom detail so I’ll go to her house today, help her get ready in the morning and drive her to the wedding, cater to her every need 😄 and then drive her home and get her to bed. I’m sure it will be a lovely day but by no means relaxing! I have no clue what dinner will look like. Whatever Queen Bee wants and I’m not too lazy to make.

Happy birthday weekend jeremysgirl ~ have a fabulous time! Same song, second verse, another 110° day today. I already got a notice that we've used 76% more electricity than previous week. Duh. Dinner will be Chinese Chicken Salad. TGIF!! Oh the memories!

jeremysgirl , I truly hope that you'll just enjoy every second of your trip. It's your birthday and it gets to be all about you. Tearisci , your job sounds quite fun. It's interesting and creative. Judy26 , congratulations to your nephew and his wife. I hope you can enjoy the wedding and reception while serving the queen.
cadoodlebug, yuck! Our weather station said 114 yesterday. Today it's supposed to be 105. I bought a huge pallet of water for the window guys 2 days ago and it's almost gone. I feel for them. Enjoy your yummy, cool weather dinner.

Good news! The back wall arrived unbroken!! We set it in place with one side wall last night. We have to drill out the faucet hole for the other wall in order to get that one in place. Then it is off to the races!! We will finish the drywall and start with taping the seams and screws. Then on to the knockdown. Bad news, SO's sister and husband bought an above ground pool and had set that all up starting in May. They wanted it for the 2 niece's graduation party that is tomorrow. They pulled permits, dug out the ground for the pool to sit level, dug a trench for electricity, had the pool filled. On Wednesday, I don't know what happened, but there was no more pool, there was just a pile of parts on the ground. I know that when we went over there on June 8, it was not level. You could clearly see that with the water in there. I would have cried. BIL came home, saw it, and left again. I am devastated for them. I have no idea what the plan is now. I am sure it is just come on over, no pool now. And the weather was going to be perfect for the pool! UGH I will get in my birthday wishes to the fabulous jeremysgirl! Enjoy your lovely time away with Jeremy. You deserve it. My thoughts with your family sueg and also for you **GypsyGirl** and DH.

Happy birthday jeremysgirl - have a fabulous weekend away! Thinking of you sueg and **GypsyGirl** ! No clue what's for dinner, maybe I'll grab some pad thai we were talking about yesterday. Not sure what we're going to do this weekend. We were going to go paddleboarding, but it's way too hot for that - maybe we'll escape to the mountains. Take care all~!

scrappert, I'm assuming the pool was empty when it collapsed? That sucks for the party. People can still have a good time visiting and enjoying eachother. I hope the damage was not extensive. Darcy Collins enjoy your weekend doing whatever you decide to do.

Happy Birthday jeremysgirl Thank you all for your kind words and condolences. DDiL and her family are just devastated, even though Leonie has been so ill for so long, and has had several close calls in the past year. We are letting them huddle for a few days, especially as there is really nothing we can do from here. I am going to talk to my sister early next week and get her to buy plant for their garden to remember her by. I think for Sophia in particular, having a 'Nonna bush' she can talk to when she gets sad will help her cope. I spent the afternoon with a work friend and let her know everything about what is going on with me. she rang me yesterday, as the others were asking about me when she as in on Wednesday, because I haven't been posting in our group WhatsApp or volunteering to cover absences. While out, I went by the fish shop at the mall where we met, and bought 2 nice dorade (I think they are called sea bream in other places) for DH to grill for dinner.

TGIF!
Had some searing pain in/around/on my left ear yesterday, so much so that it was sensitive to the slightest touch. The ENT I saw said it could be "an ear infection, or muscle strain, or even from pressure on the ear if you slept on it funny." Ugh. It's getting better today, so that's a good sign. I'm just sick of these woes. I feel like all I ever do here is complain to y'all.
I'm not sure what our weekend plans will consist of. We may go up to Baltimore to the railroad museum, and if I can talk DH into it, maybe the aquarium. I've also started a list of the things we've done from May 26 on so I can create a scrapbook for this/part of next year. Maybe that'll put a small dent in my paper collection...

Never, never, never feel that way! We are here to laugh, cry, advise and comfort. We are a big shoulder for everyone. 💓💓💓💓 Oh, honey. You are the amateur hour for complaining. Btw, I've never seen you complain, but I've heard a lot of rightful frustration and pain. I have spilled much larger, grander tales of whoa. We're a tribe and we care about one another and we're here to listen and suport you.
sueg, my heart goes out to your dear family. I think that getting a plant was the perfect thing to do for the family and especially, Sophia. In my religion when someone passes away we plant a tree in Israel. If you really want to go wild, you can plant a forest. It's a great tribute and it gives back to the earth. Take good, loving care of yourself. You have too much on your plate.

happy birthday jeremysgirl!! hugs and best thoughts for all those who need them!!
my son called, and rhymeswith purple--he and his wife are taking the train to baltimore this weekend and will go to the aquarium (and a friend's party at night). he is on track to finding a therapist and has come up with a job search plan.
I was up at 5 with dh.. he loaded up and headed out to washington. and I took his old car to gas station and car wash so it is ready for the buyer on sunday.
off to exercise class, some grocery shopping and getting ready for a scrapping day out tomorrow. my first goal with dh gone is to empty out my extra room, take out bed, take out dresser.. redo my sewing stuff, redo the closets..
took dog to vet last night and got xrays. he may have arthritis, but worth getting it all checked out. dh is not going to walk him far for the next few weeks. the dog is 14 maybe 15.

jeremysgirl Enjoy your weekend at the beach. sueg ~ My sympathy on the passing of your DDIL's mother. I was 8 when my Opa passed away at home. A plant is an excellent idea as it is living and is a kind reminder of a life well lived. I've been through another very difficult week. I require a knee replacement and although there is *free* healthcare in Ontario, the wait times for some tests are extremely long. My MRI is scheduled for August 2025, at 10:30pm. I am on a cancellation list but unfortunately, this is what it is. Dinner will be fish & chips at a local mom & pop restaurant.

Hey guys! If we are Facebook friends please do not say anything about me being gone publicly. I do not want my family to know my house is empty this weekend. We are not posting pictures or anything. I don't mind if you guys know but I don't want a word said on face book.

I had to read that twice to catch it is *2025* quiltz ! How are you supposed to walk around until then?! I was given a cane to help me walk. I was also given very strong medication, with multiple repeats. That is the attitude here. No fighting insurance companies like many people do in the USA as everything is run by the provincial government.

scrapmaven Awe, thank you! You're too kind. I don't talk much about health-ish stuff with DH, so I appreciate all y'all being my sounding boards. jeremysgirl Happy birthday! ntsf Oh awesome! I've never been, and DH isn't a huge zoo guy, so we'll see. We did go to a drive-thru safari park/zoo on our honeymoon that he liked. We fed giraffes and I fed budgies. We also did go to a small zoo in Hershey a few weekends ago (but I think the fact they had some cats was a big draw for him, as he's a cat guy).

So Jeremy is running super late. I decided I was going to go to our big grocery superstore and pick up some new beach towels. I was with him there last week so I knew exactly what I wanted. I thought it would be in and out.
In front of the door entrances there are stop signs so people can cross to get in. As I was going to cross, someone blew the stop sign. I jumped back. It was my mother. 🙄
