Staged or not an attendee is dead as is the shooter. I highly doubt it was staged, but if someone finds out that it was and somebody died and someone is in critical condition, then Trump needs to be in jail.
I hate the man, hate him with a passion, but I would never wish him dead. and if that picture of him with his fist in the air becomes a political campaign, I’m done. Someone has actually dead, someone could actually die and regardless, the shooter is dead. There’s no way that becomes poster for his campaign, no way. And like I said, I hate him

As much as I despise tRump, and wish that he would drop off the face of the earth, this is the last thing I wanted to see happen. His followers are already batshit crazy, this is just the kind of thing that will galvanise them into action. Violent action. I am worried about what's going to happen next. Yes this. If someone were to kill trump his followers would make him a martyr. If he were to die naturally his followers would say the Democrats poisoned him, and still make him a martyr. And of course they all have guns.  |

Look, I hate Trump. I think he's horrible, despicable, vile, scum of the earth and a waste of skin and bone. I hope to God he's not reelected because I shudder to think what it will do to this country and our citizens. That being said I think this talk of it being a hoax or staged is very dangerous and something I expect from the Republicans, not the Democrats. That's horrible and despicable as Trump is I don't think r a second think this was staged. First of all he is way too cowardly. Second of all even as evil as he is I don't believe he would potentially cause harm to his followers. I wish this talk of it being staged or hoax would stop, it's just going to fuel people's righteous indignation. Democrats need to focus on making sure that everybody knows how dangerous Trump is, how dangerous 2025 is, and how important it is for people to rally behind our candidate and f****** vote Joe Biden/Vote Blue. Hm. I think he would kill anyone to get what he wants. He had no qualms about putting his supporters in danger on J6, after all. He was quite happy to use Ashli Babbitt as a martyr to the cause. We have to stop talking like he’s a normal person with a moral compass. He’s a sociopath. No empathy and no concern for anyone but himself. Remember, the right applauds killers and martyrs. Kyle Rittenhouse, the J6 murderers, and the guy who killed a protestor here in Texas (now pardoned by Abbott!) for starters. They endorse vigilantism and the militants among them talk frequently about dying for the cause. We are not dealing with normal people here. (There is no way the US secret service just didn’t notice a guy with a rifle climbing up a nearby building. That simply didn’t happen. Watching for threats is their first priority. They would already have identified that building as a potential issue and placed people to watch it.) |

With that said: I did not vote for Obama, nor Biden. But I have never ever wished them dead. In fact when traveling overseas we were asked about Obama, our response "we didn't vote for him BUT he is still our president, the POTUS". Do I like how inflation, immigration, etc has effected our country in the 3.5 years? No . . . .
We do not yet have a full report on DJT injuries. We do know now that one spectator was killed, another seriously injured. So this was not staged. There were Secret Service Snipers who neutralized the threat. Perhaps "the call" that those on the ground were waiting for before they moved the former president.
As pointed out, the shooter could have been outside the Rally grounds. We won't know until the investigation is complete. Assignations, unfortunately have been part of history, not just in the US.
I do not write assumptions about those on the other side of the aisle. Nor do I use profanity to describe those in office or Peas here that do not believe as I do. I have purposefully stayed out of the political threads for that reason. |

Hate him or love him…….having these situations at ANY event is sick and NEVER OK. Our country needs to find a common ground. We need a hero…….. Dude, nobody’s coming to save us. This is real life, not an Avengers movie. The only thing we can do is vote against T and Project 2025. Bruh, I don’t need an Avenger to save us. I just need to have a candidate that holds high standards, has the countries best interest in mind and can help get a handle on the cost of living. That would be hero material in my book…….if he happened to look like Thor….. well that would just be the icing on the cake for me! |

Keep in mind also that both Project 2025 and the Epstein Files are getting a lot of play right now. Both damaging to Trump. What better way to change the conversation, knowing that Dems will be too polite to keep hammering on those issues while the shooting is still in the news cycle? ETA: as expected, the Biden campaign will now go into a “media blackout” while the footage and photo get 24/7 airplay on every outlet worldwide, and while Trump and his surrogates start whipping up violence against Democrats. I don't think this was staged (wouldn't put it past them to do something like that, but I would really hope they wouldn't go to the extent that someone was killed). But I absolutely believe this will be used for the campaign. The people in the crowd were cheering when Trump pumped his fist up and were yelling "USA, USA." There is no way that they won't use this.

It is getting harder and harder to budget life. My husband has a good job, but he has to travel quite a distance and misses a lot of family time. I keep saying take a pay cut, step down to a lesser position…….and even as I say it, and know I’d move heaven and earth to make it work, it scares me. Oh well……I got off topic. Sorry🥴 |

My first thought after hearing that there was an attempted shooting (that was the first post I saw on IG) was "Thoughts and prayers, he'll just have to get over it." Because that is what he told parents after there was a horrific school shooting. I would honestly not be sad if Trump died, but an assassination is not good for anyone. That being said, do you really not see how the way that people feel and talk about Trump is related to the way that Trump talks about others? If you are going to be disgusted by the way the peas are talking here yet support Trump....you are a hypocrite. |

Please pray for our country! We need to stop being so divided. We don’t have to all agree on everything. -Do you agree that women in this country should have full control over their own bodies? -Do you agree that two consenting adults should be able to legally marry regardless of gender. -Do you agree we are NOT a Christian nation, but a nation of many religious and secular beliefs, all valid unless they are used to hurt and control others? -Do you agree we are a diverse nation and every person matters, every person has inalienable rights, every person deserves a chance to thrive here - no matter the color of their skin? -Do you believe my transgender son has the right to transgender care, to live as a man despite the gender he was assigned at birth, and to be free from harassment and harm. These are things I believe, things I fight for, things I vote for. The Right wants all of this taken away (and so much more), with DT sitting as their king and savior, and some of it they’ve already taken. You tell me how we stop being so divided. Since my earlier post (below), looks like we’ve gotten some terrible news about injuries and people killed. That is absolutely horrific. It also sounds like Trump’s injuries were minor. I think that should be a sigh of relief for all given the alternative and what that would mean not only for him but our entire country. What I saw watching the recorded stream, there are still parts of it that look “off” to me and play out differently than other similar moments in history that I have seen film of. I wonder if they were just not fully prepared for this to happen. And, I am still horrified by the fist pumping - I don’t care who you are - this is not the time for that. To me it comes across as being only focused on capturing the moment for his own purposes - not even considering the safety of the people behind him or risking getting even more hurt himself. A public servant is thinking about their public and stewarding them in that moment as well as keeping oneself safe. Not on here to argue or debate, but wanted to follow up and be clear that from my POV the most important thing is to tend to those who are hurt or experienced loss and figure out what truly happened so that this can be prevented in the future. Politics have always been divisive and often deadly, and I hate both. Live StreamThe rally was live streamed at the link so you can see everything before, during, after. It looks/feels weirdly fake/staged to me. I just, who pumps their arm in the air after having life threatened. What security would even let you do that? It’s just really strange. Also no one seems to be protecting or directing the crowd from the start. There are people all behind him. I hope everyone is OK and I hope they sort out what really happened. |
