I have gotten off the eating binge. I go to bed at 11 - 12 and sleep 'til 8 or so, get up and look at my bed and then it grabs me westles me back for another few hours. By noon I'm up, dressed and ready for the day. I now weigh 212. In April I weighed 234. I eat 2 meals a day, bfst egg and bacon sandwich, dinner I eat out or have left overs. The problem is I'm in bed 11-12 hours, I sit at my desk reading 6± hours, the rest going out to eat and stuff. Every day's a Saturday that kinda looks like a Sunday.

I don’t think that has ever happened to me- so if it did it would be so unusual I probably would. But if it happened often I would not. I guess it would also depend if I was underweight or not.

I don't think I've ever woken up hungry enough to need to eat before I can sleep again. How lucky I am.
If I wake up in the night it's usually because I'm too hot or need a wee. If I'm thirsty I'll have a few mouthfuls of water but that's it.

Almost never. I have eaten something a handful of times in the middle of the night, but it’s not a habit I want to establish. I’d have to be really hungry to do that.
I do feel hunger pangs often around 6-7 am but if I ignore the feeling, it goes away and I can be fine with not eating for several more hours.

No, never. I eat weird anyway. Don't eat breakfast, eat many items for lunch which is more of a graze, rarely a sit down meal. Do not eat dinner or usually anything after 5PM. I like feeling hungry, most comfortable for me.

Normally I just try to ignore it and go back to sleep. When I was going through chemo, I had no appetite during the actual infusion week, but the second week I was ravenous! I would wake up and have to eat something. Luckily, it was for only a short time.

It's extremely rare that I wake up in the middle of the night but no, I would not eat. If I do wake up and move around it's nearly impossible for me to fall back asleep so I'd just keep my butt in bed until I fell back asleep.

No. In fact, I try not to eat late in the evening, so I have gone to bed hungry, but I make myself wait until morning to eat.

Nope. I can confidently say that I have never, nor would I ever, get up in the middle of the night to eat. If I was having trouble sleeping, getting up out of bed would be the last thing I'd do. That would just wake me up more!

I don't wake up hungry. I pretty much never even wake up to pee. On work days I often sleep only 5 hours at a stretch but on my days off I can easily sleep for twelve hours or more while I catch up.
I would not want those calories added on to the day unless I hadn't eaten the entire day before.

it depends - if I wake up in the middle of the night (or if my kitty (Dusty) insists on me waking up) - I test my blood sugar and that decides if I eat or not. Dusty is pretty good at making me wake up when my blood sugar is low so typically I do end up eating the nights he wakes me up and less likely on the nights I wake up on my own. Good kitty.

No I don’t think I have ever done that. I usually am not hungry in the middle of the night. When I was younger, late teens early 20’s I would get hungry every night at 930. It was the strangest thing. I usually didn’t actually eat anything.

Am I the only one who doesn't wake up in the night? I just can't even imagine this scenario. Maybe 3 times a month I wake up to pee. And I might wake up screaming or something if one of my very vivid dreams goes awry. But I just don't wake up. you are so lucky bc i prolly wake up 3x a night to go pee! LOL

LOL I have this theory that my mind runs like full steam ahead, frantic all day and then my head hits the pillow and it just completely shuts down exhausted. Now I will say I have a lot of dreams. Very intense dreams. Almost every night. So my brain is processing something while I sleep. But I swear it's a switch that flips off. And I'll also say that if I'm super tired in the day, I can't nap. I have to be like sick as a dog to sleep during the day.

I don’t wake up hungry necessarily but do keep a banana or applesauce cup on my nightstand. If I have to take medication for pain in the middle of the night I have to have a small something with it or I’ll pay the price.
Sleeping thru the night would be a miracle for me at this point. My sleep is in 2-3 hour increments, awake for hours then hope for 2-3 hours more in the early morning

I didn't answer this yesterday because it almost never happens to me. And of course, last night it did. I did not get up and eat and I don't think I ever have. I wear a bite guard to sleep. It is essential. So if I get up and eat, I will have to brush my teeth and bite guard again before returning to bed. Also eating and lying down immediately can bring on reflux so... I'm not 20 years old anymore and I can't eat anytime I please.

I have never done that. I really don’t like getting out of bed at night so maybe that’s why. If I go to bed hungry, I can usually just sleep it off or wake up at my normal time hungry.

I don't even wake up hungry in the morning. If I get hungry it is usually around 9 or 10 am. But most days my first meal is lunch.

I can't ever remember waking up, in the middle of the night, hungry. There a times I go to bed hungry b/c I don't want to eat b/c I'll sometimes get heartburn. If I woke up in the middle of the night hungry, I wouldn't eat. I'd try to go back to sleep and if that didn't work, I'd get up and start my day.

That is rarely a thing for me. However I value sleep much more than food, so no. I would not get up to eat. Then I would also need to brush my teeth and probably go to the bathroom.
And hunger means the body will be burning excess calories stored, win/win!

I used to work overnights for 17 years... So, I'd go into work at 6 pm and off at 6 am... I would have *breakfast* at 9 pm and lunch at 2 am...
When I finally got to day shift... and woke up super early to go to work... I tried to get on a regular eating schedule... it took months and months for me to not wake up at 3 am every single night absolutely starving... because I didn't eat anything at 9 or 2...
I still will randomly wake up at 2 or 3 am thinking Im hungry... I dont eat.. I try to fall back to sleep..
Its a struggle!!
