If I wake up in the middle of the night hungry, it is usually because I had a later lunch and then skipped dinner the day before. I try to ignore it, but if I cannot, I will get up and grab a protein bar or protein drink and go back to bed. Unfortunately, then I am not hungry for breakfast the next morning and then my whole day gets screwed up as far as eating meals on time leading to late breakfast, late lunch, and skipping dinner again.

I rarely wake up during the night, so no. Very occasionally I will get up and get a drink of water if I have been coughing or something.
But this brings back a memory of when I was little. My dad would leave for work very early in the morning, like 4:30 or 5:00 am. Once on a while I would wake up when he was getting ready and I would eat breakfast with him and then go back to bed. A lot of times there was a package of four doughnuts. Then when I got up again at 8:00 I would be sad that my mom and sister had doughnuts and I didn’t get one since I already ate mine.
My DH gets up a lot of nights and eats a bowl of cereal and then goes back to bed.

I have seen people do this in TV shows & movies, but personally I have never gotten up in the middle of the night to eat. I have gotten up to get some water but that’s it.

Rarely. Sometimes I’m not hungry at dinner time and don’t eat, and then I may wake up in the night (something I tend to do anyway) and be hungry. If that happens, I’ll limit what I eat to a banana or a little yogurt. Just enough so I can get back to sleep.

Well thanks to this thread I had some chips. I woke up around 3am (thanks for that stupid dog..lol).. couldn't go back to sleep. Browsed on my phone and looked to see what was on 2peas. Clicked on this thread and immediately I was hungry.
99% of the time I do not eat in the middle of the night.

Even when I wasn't sleeping well thanks to menopause, I was never hungry when I woke up. If I did ever wake up hungry, I wouldn't get up and get something to eat. I don't have a hard time going back to sleep, so I'd just fall back asleep and eat when I got up for the day.

No, but if I can't fall asleep and I feel it's because I am hungry, I will get up and get a snack.
