As a governor, he has been somewhat reasonable. But, I think he has higher aspirations for senate or maybe president. Regrettably, once it was clear Trump would be the nominee, he kissed the ring and endorsed him. And apparently, now he's all in. I know that ambitious Republican politicians are in a bind, but IMO it says a lot about your character-or maybe lack of character-that you support Trump. I could not vote for anyone currently supporting him. Anyone who endorses putting a corrupt, deranged individual in the Oval Office is telling me that they have no integrity. Sununu is telling on himself. It will be interesting to see how these politicians do after the Trump era is finally over. Will voters forgive and forget?

The political news station Heartland Signal took to X Wednesday to share a podcast interview from April 2020 in which Vance discussed the role his mother-in-law played in raising his son. "It makes him a much better human being to have exposure to his grandparents," Vance said. "That's the whole purpose of the post-menopausal female," Eric Weinstein, host of āThe Portal,ā said.
Vance replied, "Yes."What he said about older women is terrible, but if you listen to the entire 2 minute clip, it just gets shittier. He goes on to say how his MIL is a PhD and took a yearlong sabbatical to help his wife - because his wife was getting ready to do her Clerkship and was only getting 90 minutes of sleep.

I usually avoid commenting on political threads, but I canāt help myself. My ancestors came from many different countries, including Ireland and Germany. I wonder where his ancestors came from? Are his ancestors also immigrants from other countries? The sheer stupidity is incredible.

It almost makes you wonder if someone in the Trump campaign didn't thoroughly research the guy. Or maybe they were naively hoping some of his statements wouldn't come to light?
I listened to the one about his mother in law and there was a lot of word salad and misogyny. But, it almost sounded like he was talking about how caregiving is undervalued because family caregivers are generally not paid.

Are his ancestors also immigrants from other countries? The sheer stupidity is incredible. My paternal great-grandfather was a Scottish immigrant who was a gangster in NYC. Organized crime up the wazoo. My mother's side came from England and France and they were basically subsistence farmers who relied heavily on government benefits during the depression and were just living in deep rural poverty the rest of the time. Alcoholism made some of them literal "bums." A burden on society in today's terms. Yet both sides' "greatest generation" members fought in WWII and they all produced dozens of descendants who are largely productive members of modern society - some exceptionally so. I often wonder why the millions of Americans whose immigrant ancestors have similar stories aren't able to see their own humble beginnings in the immigrants who arrive now. The American experiment doesn't continue without continuing influxes of immigrants.

Also remember they picked him before Biden stepped down. So I think they were that confident about their standing against Biden that they didn't have to worry about how he came off to those outside of MAGA. I know some people were really mad about the timing but I actually think it was the best thing. MAGA was completely thrown for a loop and still doesn't quite know what to do.

Waiting until after the convention and then having Biden and the DNC come out with instant support for Kamala was inspired. Threw the Trump campaign into disarray and energized Democrats like crazy.

I'm pretty sure the purpose of this post-menopausal female will be to alternate time sitting on beaches and fighting the patriarchy. If I'm gifted with any grandchildren, my relationship with them will be doting grandmother, not full-time caregiver.

This is terrifying and just kind of shows that he is clueless and has no empathy at all. He wouldnāt hesitate to use it. You're probably right. Esp. since, having purchased his classwork instead of doing it, he's unfamiliar with the phrase, "Mutually assured destruction." The willful ignorance is astonishing.

I love that the Fox anchor corrected Sununu on inflation. Obviously, I disagree with his take on inflation, he neglected to mention that it's a global problem and 2020 is not a great benchmark to use. However, I agree with him when he pointed out that financial stresses, inflation, the price of gas and the price of groceries will be on people's minds in November. If Trump could stick to that, he could do well. But, I think we all know Trump is not capable of staying on message for more than 10 minutes. Trump, Sununu, the Republicans and the media, to some extent, are stuck on Harris not giving a press conference. But, voters don't seem to care.

I lost track of the lies told in just this 1 minute clip from his press conference. Talk about rewriting history. He decided not to put Hillary in jail? Election interference in NY because he fraudulently paid a mistress/ porn star with election funds? He's definitely setting the stage to say the election was stolen. liesJim Stewartson, Counterinsurgent @jimstewartson This is a very important tell about the plan to overthrow the election. Trump is planning to claim āelection interferenceā in swing states, decertify the electors & get SCOTUS to rubber stamp it. This would create a ācontested election.ā

This is alarming regarding the election. Trump's statements that you don't have to vote this election are even more concerning than his saying you won't have to vote in 4 years. Might also explain why he's playing golf and not even bothering to campaign. I think he's not traveling because he's cheap, the RNC is broke paying his legal bills and he's discovered he can just hold press conferences and get attention and coverage for free. But, what if it's a more calculated move? And he's decided the election results don't matter, he's going to challenge them, Republicans will refuse to certify the vote, Mike Johnson will refuse to swear in any newly elected Democrats. The vote will go to the House, Republicans hold the majority of states and will vote for Trump. The corrupt, unethical Supreme Court will side with Trump. A really scary thought. you don't have to votePoliticsVideoChannel @politvidchannel BREAKING: The frightening Reason why Trump is Intentionally losing the Election has been revealed

My theory is The Heritage Foundation wanted Vance. They thought they had the election in the bag, so it wouldnāt matter how awful he is.

No only are the trumps of German heritage, TFG et al claimed they were Swedish, because they were shamed by their German heritage. After coming here his grandfather/family decided to go back to Germany in 1904, but he was rejected for residency because he, Friedrich had left to avoid the draft in the German Army..Seemly a family habit!!
