And we all hope she will have the same effect on his campaign. We almost certainly would have had president McCain if not for her - which was not what I wanted at the time, but seems a darn sight better than any Republican in the current candidate pool.

It does seem kind of crude but then again I literally have never attended a gathering where they haven’t had trouble with the A/V equipment.

Clearly they need a crew of public school teachers in there. Most of them manage presentations with electronics every day.

Vance has another issue coming out .. the man who cares so much for children... Or so he says, no he says women should all be home while the men work.. no need for childcare??


A bipartisan bill that would provide much-needed federal assistance to moms-to-be, which was being hammered out between the staffs of Sens. J.D. Vance (R-OH) and Tim Kaine (D-VA)(corrected by me), stalled out because the man Donald Trump selected as his running mate cut off talks.

According to a report from the Washington Post's Jeff Stein, the bill would have limited childcare costs by reining in insurance companies slamming parents and new mothers with "co-pays or other expenses related to childbirth."

As the report notes, at about the same time that the Donald Trump campaign began serious vetting of possible running mates, Vance's staff quit returning calls from Kaine's office, putting the bill on hold.

Stein is reporting, "Vance’s team started working with the office of Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.) on the bill in June 2023, talks stopped this June and have not resumed, leaving the fate of the legislation unclear after Vance’s nomination to the GOP ticket, said the people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to reflect private conversations."

I wouldn’t be surprised if Trump dumps Vance and tries to blame him for anything that goes bad with the campaign. But I hope if he does that it turns into a sh$&tshow for republicans.

Unfortunately it would not show maga that TFG cannot get along with anyone... It will show he has no loyalty for anyone..

On Reddit, someone mentioned a VP candidate dropped out in 1972, he had electric shock therapy for depression and I guess they didn't vette people as well in the 70s, so when it came out, they were afraid he would relapse and he stepped down:

McGovern's failure to vet Eagleton[15] and his subsequent handling of the controversy gave occasion for the Republican campaign to raise serious questions about his judgment. In the general election, the Democratic ticket won only Massachusetts and the District of Columbia.

I cannot imagine JDVance would step down even if his new favorite person asked him to, esp since I think Theil wants Vance more than he wants Trump... but I am not sure what "excuse" they have to ask him to step down anyway.
