Fake news! Trump never once looked this pleasant in his entire existence. Not one minute. That character is happy. Trump wasn’t even happy after winning in 2016 I thought the exact same thing. This is a much kinder, gentler portrait of TFG, an actual cartoon…

Did he miss Dobbs? Did he miss voter suppression? Did he miss J6?
Is he okay acting like an Ostrich?

Nothing wrong with being weird. But Vance is a slimy, hypocritical, wanna-be fascist. No disagreement here, however, it seems that by calling them "weird" they're taking more offense than when they're call the other names.

It a universal calling them weird. Not just a few!

Not sure if this has been posted yet or not. If you haven't seen it, it's short and very funny. Fair warning - she does use profanity. Chelsea Handler

I find it ironic after all of the mean, cruel names that Trump has called people, Republicans are melting down over being called weird. But, it seems accurate. outside the mainstreamChris Murphy @chrismurphyct I wish a knew a better way to describe it. Your party’s obsession with drag shows is creepy. Your candidate’s idea to strip the vote away from people without kids is weird. The right wing book banning crusade is super odd.
It’s just so so far outside the mainstream.

Twenty years ago, I was a pretty conservative Republican (don’t fall over from shock) and read a lot of National Review. I liked Rod Dreher at the time. Now he is completely unhinged by a woman who makes parodies on TikTok of speaking to the Trump right like preschoolers (which is not far off the mark IMO). x.com/roddreher/status/1818017480176255406?s=46&t=5ZPLoWY3enez0Oe8WYfajwAnyway. Please enjoy his impotent rage with me. I’m sure in Rod’s dream world, women like “Ms. Frazzled” get the leather face binding we’ve seen in the Handmaid’s Tale to keep them silent and frequent use of the cattle prod to keep them compliant. He also seems to have moved to Hungary. I guess he’s a fan of Orban? Seems to track.

I love the new Republican catch phrase: Republicans are weird.

And that's all I have to say about that. Yeah, if everywhere you go in life people seem to shun you…it’s probably you.

It’s just so so far outside the mainstream.I can't stop snickering at the R's telling people to try to win on policy!

I’m snickering at the Rs melting down over being called weird. Their whole schtick is that they represent good ol’ normal America and here we go posting up pictures and videos of their strangest cult behavior. It must be very upsetting! 😂
As for Vance, I guess we can be glad (?) that if he felt alienated, he didn’t take a gun and shoot up a school. He just put himself in a place where he can potentially harm millions of women and marginalized folks through legislation. 🙄

I love the new Republican catch phrase: Republicans are weird. I really don't like this calling everything the Republicans do or say as 'weird.' I think the word minimizes the demeaning language, the hatred, calls for violence, racism, the ignorance about history and policy. They aren't weird. Their platform, if you can call it that, and the behavior of their candidates isn't weird, it is wrong. Putting mustard on French fries is weird. Wearing white socks with black shoes is weird. Weird is trivial stuff. These are people who are reducing your rights as citizens. They are dangerous. Also calling the candidates 'weird' risks the trouble Hillary Clinton got into with her deplorables comment. Harris needs to be taken seriously. This isn't the way to do that.

It’s fine for this week but I hope they ditch that phrasing.

It’s just so so far outside the mainstream.i think weird is apt for some situations (cat lady, Hannibal Kecter, sharks, etc). It’s a good everyday word that people can relate to. But it does minimize the worst of the Trump/Vance ticket.

I posted this on another thread, I read this on REddit yesterday and completely got upset: I read this super scary article linked on Reddit and to be honest besides P2025/A47, this detailed plan of how the GOP plans to steal the election needs to be shared and discussed and everyone needs to be very aware. This is NOT going to stop with her getting elected. November is going to be scary. ☹️ hartmannreport.com/p/the-new-over-the-top-secret-plan-518

This from Kamala HQ… ”Unearthed video: JD Vance says he and Trump will “go to war against” childless people, who he calls “sad, lonely, and pathetic”: “They should feel like their life is inadequate” Prompted this response. “Ken Calvert, does this speak for you? Do you believe that government should have the power to FORCE people to have children?” If not, would you kindly say so publicly so Vance will stop doing this?” x.com/willrollinsca/status/1818692231923909098?s=61&t=j45uMgNk1i8O0YllKF58nwPeople had better wake up….

Here is trump making friends and influencing people at the Aaron Rupar… ”Trump at the NABJ is immediately asked about his racist comments and why Black voters should trust him. He replies, "First of all, I don't think I've very been asked a question in such a horrible manner." “Wow Trump attacks Rachel Scott as she tries to get him to stop rambling” ”Trump is asked about JD Vance's comments about "childless women like myself or divorced people like yourself" and whether Republicans are getting too judgy about people's private lives. Trump starts ranting about Democrats supporting the murder of babies (which is a lie)” x.com/acyn/status/1818716630907793711?s=61&t=j45uMgNk1i8O0YllKF58nwThe Recount.. "I didn't know she was Black until a number of years ago, when she happened to turn Black." — Donald Trump, when asked at the NABJ convention whether he thinks Kamala Harris is on the Democratic ticket only because she is a Black woman.” Kyle Griffin… ”Trump lies at NABJ, saying Vice President Harris was "always of Indian heritage and she was only promoting Indian heritage. I didn't know she was Black until a number of years ago when she happened to turn Black. And now she wants to be known as Black. So I don't know, is she Indian or is she Black? … I respect either one, but she obviously doesn't." From her days as a DA in SF I’ve known she was Black and Indian. I guess trump wasn’t paying attention. So now they are laughing at trump… Alex Thompson… ”Trump on Harris: "I didn't know she was Black until a number of years ago when she happened to turn Black and now she wants to be known as Black." By the end, the audience begins laughing at Trump. The moderator notes that Harris went to an HBCU.” Off hand I would say this is not going well for trump. Especially since he is now started attacking the two women journalists asking the questions.
