cakediva when you catch a break from cakes, I'd love to see the yarn you are using. Ha - it's early, I'm still drinking my coffee and checking office stuff, so a quick snap was do-able! It is Cotton Kings Sultan - Mystic Opal. I find their photos on the site look more "muted/dusty" these are actually quite bright, but I think it will be a perfect thing for my brother's new boat! Holy cow that is just beautiful!

Get there quick. It's on the sale rack. 50% off. Whomp whomp, my store never even got those in. But I had a nice time looking around, and only bought a couple of things, for my mom. Awww....nuts! That stinks. And I have a tiny, tiny Joann's too. It's right in my little neighborhood but I try to shop there as much as I can because I don't want it to go away. I didn't pay a lick of attention to whether they had more than one, do you want me to go look? It's so light, it wouldn't cost anything to mail really. I just need to find the right box. But I'll go over there and see if you really want it. Just let me know.

I really love using the yarn cakes - I've never been great at co-ordinating colours on my own, so the cakes do it for me. And I'm laughing - my brother's wedding invitation came last week with a "your presence is our present, please no gifts" but to late suckers - the blanket is partially done already!!

jeremysgirl- By all means- Send it out- it definitely expedites the process. I used to have my friend long arm more of items, but then I calculated the $ I was spending. Big hugs for you and What a great way to let Chloe know you're there for her.

Thank you so much for thinking of me.

jeremysgirl, so very sorry that things are tough with Chloe again. Keeping you in my warmest thoughts as you navigate your relationship with her again, and keeping her in my safest thoughts while she figures out you are firmly in her court and want what is best for her.

They are super cute. But beyond my abilities. 😪 You would be surprised how doable FPP is, I'm linking a video that I used when I was getting my head around the technique. There are plenty of other tutorial videos if this one doesn't hit the mark. I was intimidated at first but it was part of a mystery quilt I was making so I had to get stuck in. As far as sewing is concerned you just sew straight lines. It's like the mosaic crochet of the sewing world, it looks more involved than it actually is. m.youtube.com/watch?v=Xv2gKMx9CCM&pp=ygUYZm91bmRhdGlvbiBwYXBlciBwaWVjaW5n

jeremysgirl - Doing a little online shopping this morning and ran across the most perfect Needle Minder for you. There are some other Halloween themed ones, but this one has your name all over it!

Ok let me check out the video and see what it's all about. Thank you wellway. And thank you for the vote of confidence lainey! **GypsyGirl** that is super cute. Last September we were camping at a park that is mostly long term/permanent campers. And there was one trailer decorated for Halloween. They had these huge witch hat lights going around their awning. I loved it.

Another hospital week, another needlepoint ornament done (almost). The Popeye's sign is mostly done, only lacking the beads that go around the yellow band. Since I have never stitched beads onto a needlepoint canvas it will require a stop by the shop this week for the right thread and basic instructions. While there I need to get some threads for a few other canvases I pulled from my stash. And even though I have that stash, I couldn't help but order 2 more ornament canvases this week. They have been out of stock for ages and when they had them in I didn't want to miss them again: Jif Peanut Butter jar and Cafe du Monde. The end goal for all these ornaments is to have a garland to display them all like the one below.

This was just a fast and easy 3 yard quilt pattern. This is the Starberry line by Corey Yoder for Moda fabrics. Maybe quick and easy for you, but not for me That is so pretty!!! You are such a talented crafter and I especially love your quilts. You have such an eye for picking out the right fabrics.

So much so that I just sent an email telling my boss I was taking the day off tomorrow. My weekend needs a reboot. And then I saw this and I was like. Tears. In a good way. 🥹

Hello crocheting/yarny girls, I have a question for you. I bought a gorgeous blanket pattern and yarn pack a couple of years ago from Wool Warehouse. It is still current on their site. I paid over $200USD. I know, I know.... Anyhow. I am cleaning out my craft room/office and no longer have the chair I was going to use it on, AND also just have no desire to start or work on the project now. Is there a FB group (or elsewhere) that you'd recommend I list it for sale? I don't expect to get anything near what I paid for it, but something would be lovely, KWIM? Any direction you can offer would be most appreciated, thanks a bunch! And because I'm pretty sure someone will ask, here it is: www.woolwarehouse.co.uk/lynda-blanket-pack-in-scheepjes-secret-garden-34-x-50g-balls

They have a sell, trade, destash section here that might be of some use to you. Ravelry and I don't get on but others here love it and might have more information for you on how to use it.

Good morning! I'm sure everyone has been quiet because they've been enjoying the summer. seaexplore has probably been getting ready for school too. I hope she has a great year. This past weekend I actually scrapbooked. Just a little bit in a traveler's notebook. I am gearing up for a long weekend away in Ludington this weekend. We will of course enjoy the beach but we are also looking at neighborhoods where we might want to live. We are going to spend our winter getting our house ready to sell and then we are thinking of looking for a house up there. We love it there on Lake Michigan. Thenni will come back and work 4 days and we will take off to Traverse City for a week of camping. We are totally looking forward to all these getaways. I'm just about to start cutting for another quilt. I've got a bit of extra fabric coming today to match some fat quarters I had. Will be pretty. Moda Lovestruck line. I've decided that once I get this one done, I will send some out to be quilted.

I've lost my knitting mojo! Trying to sort the house out (we're sale agreed so need to start getting on with things!), thinking about the new house, renovations etc is taking all my brain space. I have 101 decisions to make and just feel so stuck.

I think I mentioned before that the Winship Cancer Center across the street from our church and they asked if we had a knitting group that would make hats for them. I made this basic hat over the weekend. NOTE: if anyone wants to contribute a hat, we are really in need, as our church knitting group is small, please send me a message and I will give you the address. Thanks!

I've been working hard to get as many repeats as I can done on the Watcha I started for my brother & his soon to be wife. Wedding is September 14th! Invite says no gifts but....too bad, so sad, I already started it for them lol.
I chose Watcha because according to the yardage listed in the pattern, I should get 6 repeats with the yarn I have (6 cotton king cakes) - I'm on round 6, and still have 3 cakes left! I know I'll get into cake 4 for sure. I'm thinking I'll do 7 repeats, and 8 if I have time - but as it gets larger, some of the rows are taking so long to do. Damn back post half double crochet!!
