I kind of liked them but not at that size. They're too big imo. For me it’s the red colour making them a pass once I took a second look 😁 I too passed. They're cute but I'm only interested in the red cup. I can easily make my own and customize it. I was able to quickly get the things I wanted. I'm sure I'll add more later on during the sale portion of the boxing period.

Whew! I was just able to snag the trees album as it was already down to the final few. I know the boxing period started over an hour ago, but I wasn't able to break away to get online.
I made a second order for the 4x6 album which I plan to use for another project plus a few more items.
I'm super tempted by the tree stamps but every time I buy one of these DD stamps I feel I don't use it enough to justify the price. Need to think on it.

I just went and looked in my stash of Christmas things and I have the Elle's Studio kit from 2022 completely unused. I remember now buying it and then I decided last minute to use the Vicki Boutin collection because it was a bit more sober/subdued. A lot of black in the collection. It was better for my first Christmas without Esther. I placed an order for Elle's Studio just last night so I guess I'll have plenty to use for my DD.

Tree album and be merry ornament in final few! I really enjoy watching items sell out, I have no idea why. Me too!! I have no idea why😂. Every year I find it so entertaining for the rest of the first day.

My checkout was smooth too! Got the main kit, tree album, die cut pack, papers and specialty cards. I too went back and saw what I used most in previous years and these are my top products. From the sounds of it the tree album will be popular! I find I love this project more than WITL, I've been completing albums since 2009 (!) Some years I get AE stuff, some years I don't. This year is an Ali year, lots of good offerings. I wasn't going to get an album, but I ended up talking myself into the tree album hahaha. I don't think I'll use it for DD (at least not this year...) but it is different enough that I think I "needed" to have it I did WITL for the first time this year, and went all in. OMG what a project! It is 98% completed, and will be finished next time I submit an order to Persnickety Prints. DD is much more a labor of love. You know, I was just looking through a couple DD's (prompted by checking out page protector condition etc) and I noticed that I really enjoy some of the places where I clearly was just trying to fill in a spot and played around with some product or included just a random day story. I do that alot less these days in my DD. I just flipped through my 2016 album (it was only one album but it really should be split in two...) and I had some fun with social media screenshots that I had printed as photos and journaled a bigger story on them. Kinda fun context and texture. My family lives pretty far away, and so there were posts about the lead up to our family Christmas, a HUGE surprise for my mom, and the social media posts used to keep it a secret. I'm rambling, but, it makes me feel a little better about the 2% of filler I'm about to add to that WITL album! I don't know if I'll ever do that project again- but for me, DD is something I can't imagine not doing. I can't help but feel soooo grateful that this hobby has given me a fantastic window to look back at the joy and memories of places and people past through a truthful and detailed lens. For whoever posted above about last Christmas with kids home and the person about to become a parent.. GO ALL IN! I was a memory keeper, before my family was built, crushed, rebuilt and what it is today. I wish I'd done more granular projects like this pre-2005. I love looking back in these PL and DD (especially) albums to when the newly minted young adult generation in our family were little kids and we were just reveling in the magic of Christmas, togetherness, and the struggle years of making it happen for our kids. I don't care if you can't afford a single thing in this release, make your own! Ali is so right. It isn't about the products. Follow along and use mailers and packaging, and colored pages and school artwork and math sheets and price tags and stick that shit in a notebook with the stories and photos if you can print them. You won't regret it.

Is going back and checking out all the cool stuff in your box a thing? If not I’m making it a thing so I feel less weird 😇 It’s a thing for me too😂. I will continue going back and admiring all month long.

Im done with my orders, I think. 3 orders + got what I wanted. 6x8 transparency - wasn't going to get, but ended up getting it Holiday Stories Paper (mainly got since it has digitals) If you end up not wanting all the 6x8 transparencies, I will take the stars one. Meaning buy it from you, not just take it. Also thank you for mentioning the digitals with the story paper. I didn't read the description, and this makes it way more tempting.

Someone talk me out of the tree album. It’s in my cart. Omg I don’t need it!! I’m doing 8x10 this year and then what if I keep doing 8x10? I don’t do travel albums…. But it’s so cute. Someday I’ll do 6x8 and need it, right? But there will be new albums. But I like this one the most.

I got everything on my list also, and one impulse item at the very last second jumped into my cart before I hit checkout 😂 I got..
Mini Kit Tree Album Advent Calendar (my 1st one, I’m excited!) Scalloped Tags Gold Circles 6x8 & 4x4 Attachers Puffy Gold Foil Alphabet Stickers Tab Stickers
Die Cut Pack (This was my last minute impulse buy. I buy them every year, and I decided this year to pass because they are just a larger scale than I typically like to use, and I don’t love the colors in them. I had decided to get the advent, and skip all the other themed embellishments, since the advent stickers seem more in line with the size of embellishments I typically use. At the last second I remembered how fast they always sell out, and I just couldn’t handle being disappointed if I changed my mind😂

Originally I thought I’d get the red album, but when I decided I wanted to use Elle’s Studio, I felt like the shade of red clashed. I changed my mind to the tree album a couple of days ago. I really thought the red one would sell out first. The only thing I was considering that sold out already was the specialty card set. The only thing I’m still considering is the 3x8 card set. I really wish it was half the size, and half the price. I don’t need that many of them, and the price tag is always more than I want to spend on one item.

I got everything on my list! After a couple items selling out on me last year, I quickly ordered the floral 8x10 album, paper pack, green felt numbers and the die cut bundle. My second order I bought the rest of my must-haves. I figured I would buy the rest on payday - the things I thought wouldn't sell out - but I just know I'd be constantly checking, so I just went ahead and got the rest.
I usually copy Ali's pages for the most part. But I am so unsure about doing 6x8 this year. I've been loving the 10x8, and I can't imagine cutting some of those papers, or positioning them sideways. I did buy the trees album just incase, lol. (I, too, wished it had been 8x10, but I am very happy to get a floral album for the first time).

I think people would be way more likely to buy half the item at half the price. I purchased it last year and have tons left so there was no need to buy again.

I’m surprised the vellum die cuts are still going strong. I thought the frenzy for the red cup and snow globe were going to make that go fast. I kind of liked them but not at that size. They're too big imo. I would like them a little bit smaller and quite a bit cheaper. $9.99 would’ve already given me pause, but $12.99 was an easy nope. Especially since a couple shapes had no appeal to me.

You won't regret it. You articulated PERFECTLY how I feel as well. I wish I had done even more, but I am SO GRATEFUL for the memories I captured along the way! A few years ago I started going back and creating older DD albums for the years before I had started (2012/13) - my goal is to go back to my oldest birth year and then create a compilation album for years prior and possibly a childhood album. My kids were born 2003 and 2005 and I scrapbooked before then, even went to CKU and attended Ali's class in 2002 . So I have the same history of starting this before my kids were born and just launched my youngest to college a little over a week ago . I would LOVE a thread on Dec Daily prompts for empty nesters. We will have them home by mid-month, but I'd love for those who have done this before to share prompts or ideas they have used. And I too love the filler pages that give me the opportunity to play and be creative. I think that is part of Ali's brand is that this project gives you multiple ways to craft, create and tell stories.

Especially since a couple shapes had no appeal to me. I bought them, but I have a whole list of stuff from the Main kit, the die cuts and these vellum pieces I plan to immediately sell. I thought the cup craze was over lol This release was very much a YAYYYYYSSSSS/NOPE release for me, so letting go of alot of this will be easy with no waffling. Alot of times, I'm like... ehhhhhhhhhh I can part with this easily... then when it arrives, I look at it and I'm like... ohhhhhh but what if I happen to have a day where we (do whatever random thing we never ever do, will never do) and it is perfect??? (Stars in eyes) add to stash.... 12 years and counting later-- still hate it, but held on to it for a decade.. can't very well give up on it now, can I? Hahaha Some of these colors and motifs are just a big huge nope. Example... I like the globe in this pack.. a little. I have a zillion Crate Paper and (I think) PinkFresh globes from years past I love wayyyyy more- that I still haven't used. I also have a GREAT globe stamp in a much better size, that I'm hoping to use to scraplift any globe projects lol But the trees? ? OMG I need the trees in this vellum pack! As a matter of fact, I need all the trees!!

Just panic-bought the mini kit. I have enough stuff now. Although someone talk me out of that glass cup/beaker thing. It's cute! I don't need it! I can see myself saying f-it on the last day of the boxing period and buying it!
I am FACINATED watching what sells out. Someone needs to tell me to stop looking go and do my work.

Still on the fence about which 6x8 I want to use. I know you’ve mentioned you typically sell the items you know you won’t use. I’ve always considered this, but didn’t know where a good spot to list them would be. Do you mind sharing where you typically have luck reselling your Ali products?

By the way - if you want to sign up for any of the classes, they're in the classes section of the main shop. There's also a link at the very top of the page (if you're in a browser). Took me ages to work that out! I need coffee. (in a glass beaker thing with colourful trees on them)

Last Christmas was my first empty nester Christmas so my album might give you some ideas. I think my daughter came home from college on the 10th? This year she doesn't "come home" at all... just staying for the 24-25 (her college/apartment is local). I will likely see her a few other days, but not for most of the days. My flip through of last year is on my youtube @lindalovescreating.

I mentioned previously that I was thinning my DD stash and would offer it as a RAOK. I’m done! Besides stickers (Ali), chipboard (Ali, Feed Your Craft, a little FF) there’s also journal cards (3x4 and 6x4)(Ali and Paper Person), also 6x8 paper (Ali and PP). This completely fills one of those old DD boxes with the elastic tie. Oh, also some embellishments like Ali diecuts and other DD pieces, like some wood pieces.
Free to good home, I just ask for shipping. I can weigh it if anyone is interested. I’m in California.

Damn it. The tree album (which I already bought) selling out made me go and buy the 6x4. That's it. I am not buying anything else. Final tally for today. Tree album - doing 10x8 this year... soooo 6x4 album - thinking Christmas Past (bought the kit years ago and never opened it) additional pack of each of the 6x4 page protectors Main kit Vellum die cuts Die cut pack (2) Chipboard phrases Prompt paper pack tab stickers 10x8 transparencies Specialty journal cards I was looking at the 3x8 journal cards/transparency huge pack and thinking how many of those I have left over from past years, along with scrap transparency pieces and how that could be a fun way to fill out the 6x4 with copies of old photos back from the days before I was even scrapbooking, at all. I was really excited to do a Christmas Past album years ago when Ali released one, and did alot of note taking, scanning photos, etc, but never broke the cello on the box because I just wasn't sure how I wanted to do it. I think with doing a simple 6x4 and only choosing a photo or two from those years, and not feeling at all bad about structure for the missing years it could be simple enough to just do something. If nothing else, the digital work could be a foundation for a larger album.. Also a good way to use up some of the left overs from previous years....
