That album is $65!! That is...a lot. And I fear the inevitable seams opening and sequins everywhere.

That sequins album reminds me of those old school baby toys that were full of water and floating bits.
I missed the DD sale drop this morning. I’m kinda glad because I’d have been tempted by the main kit. I really like the wreaths and transparent pieces.

Darn it! I read the email too fast and did not see that the advent calendar was on sale! I totally would have added that to my box. Maybe my consolation is to add this years? LOL! What a great deal on the advent and main kit!

I really like the wreaths and transparent pieces. I have 3 left from last year and I'm happy to send them to you. Message me your address.

I bought the puzzle at $9. Considered advent calendar so I reviewed the sneaks and decided not to. There was only one item that I loved. I would have bought it too. I'm dreading the custom fees. The bigger the parcel, the more attention it gets. I got taxed on both stamp sets I bought from Studio Calico this year. Like, a basic bubble wrap envelope with a single 4x6 stamp set. Each time. 😬 Coming from the same warehouse, you'd better be prepared...

I've held strong and not added anything new to my box since my drunked shopping spree last week, lol. At this point, there's so much in my box that Im sure I'll never use it all.

That album is $65!! That is...a lot. And I fear the inevitable seams opening and sequins everywhere. I have her 6x8 Disney and 4x4 Halloween albums, and they're actually very sturdy. It feels like the inside plastic piece is a thick, hard plastic, and the outside piece is a thick, pliable plastic. I would describe the stitching holding the pieces together as a kind of upholstery stitch/thread. I had purchased the 4x4 album first, and was impressed with the quality, which led me to be confident in buying the 6x8. The price tag is the only thing making me think twice about ordering the Christmas tree album. But I do love it!

Me, incapable of figuring out whether the puzzle messes up the fragile international DD order balance or not (am so out of the loop this year): Look, Amazon has nice Ravensburger and Schmidts puzzles on offer during Prime Days and Black Friday, don't sweat it, girl. 😅

What a great deal on the advent and main kit! The only Silver lining to this horrible work day I’ve had is that I started so early I didn’t check the sales today and the main lot last year was sold out by the time I looked. Because I would have added that sucker to my cart and I didn’t like it enough last year to buy it! But some of those prices would have been nice. Oh well.

The 2023 Main Kit sold out in 5 minutes. Even though I bought it last year, I was kinda tempted at that price. I had most of the sale items, so I didn't purchase any sales. Boo, I was hoping they'd have "Twas the Night Before Christmas" 10x8 album from a few years ago. I am so excited for my box to ship!! (I need to figure out why my Photoshop Elements isn't working so I can finish 2022 & 2023!)

They have got to be using a heavy duty machine. It seemed like she did a lot of work to make sure they would be good quality.

So I caved and now have four albums in my box (got two of the sale albums), and as I don’t have to calculate any extra taxes for my order I’m happy to make my box overflow with items to make back my $30 usd ($45ish aud!!!) shipping charge. Just have to make sure as soon as I get my box I list the items I know I’ll never use from the main kit so I can sell them and get them out of the house before this Christmas. I’ve been scrapping my little butt off to catch up and finish as many of my past half completed projects as I can so I can have a clean slate for December daily… have one layout to complete for one album, and another two that just need some journaling on a few pages and they’ll be done too. Just have to say, I hated last years kit and even I was tempted by the 50% off sale… literally had to have a talk with myself about buying something for absolutely no reason 😂😂😂 This boxing period is a SICKNESS peas, a SICKNeSS. I’m ready to add just about everything to my cart!

That's awesome! I just finished August PL and have some time today to make a dent in September. As soon as I'm free of this, I'm ready to play. My supplies are out. I can't wait until my box comes. It's crazy how few 4X6 and 3X4 cards I have for DD. I just haven't been buying them. I used to have tons. I don't use as many as I did in the past but it feels good to have used so many supplies. I don't feel bad about going a little crazy this year.

I love those sequin albums, but I’ve already spent a billion dollars on DD! I actually love reading the thread right here at the end where some of us lose our minds again and dump more stuff in the box at the last minute (talking about myself!). I keep looking at my box to try to ground myself on what I’ve already bought - which is a ton! The one real difference this year is no Felicity Jane, Paper Person, or Pink Fresh and last few years I bought some of all 3. And I don’t love 49&Market or Crate Paper so the only unknown factor for me is Heidi Swapp / and her stuff won’t be out for another month I would guess. I really did use a good 75% of last years Ali E DD kit so feeling good about that. I think I’ve ruled out the wood stars after mom mentioned how bulky the wood is. I will buy the digital of the paper pack. Still considering advent cal and 3x8 card pack. And now lingering over 6x8 transparencies and some stamps like the trees. I need none of this but, but…

I added the wood stars a few weeks ago- Ali had held one up when she was playing with them in stories and they looked relatively thin to me…but I also lam not afraid of chunk and bulk so I am probably not the best one to listen to! Today I am fighting with the tree die cut (don’t need but that doesn’t seem to stop me) and the product play class. I’ve been looking at the contributor’s instas to gauge how likely I am to be interested in their stuff. Lol
Losing our minds is right. I mean I started this with such good intentions! I think Kerri Bradford Christmas stamps come 10/1 and I will probably be tempted by some of those, too.

I always used to pick up things from each of these every year. And I wasn't really inspired by much of the Christmas releases. I picked up a few pieces of a paper from ACOT from various brands but I used to buy a lot of Simple Stories but not this year.

It's hard to find products I'm excited about without Pinkfresh, Paper Person and Felicity Jane. It does not dampen my enthusiasm for the project at all but it does make wonder where I'll get the stuff that fits my aesthetic nowadays. There's a major hole in the market but nobody to fill it.

I am wondering if Elif Sahin will have a Christmas collection this year. I purchased her physical and digital kit last year, and it was gorgeous--very clean and elegant. I bought it on a whim because I was temporarily disabled with a neck injury, but if she offers something this year, I may consider it.

They are the exact same thickness as the outline wood stars from last year. I measured and it's 1/16th of an inch (slightly less than 1/4 centimeter). Hopefully this helps!

ATTENTION * ATTENTION
Last year in the Christmas Card Swap (I believe that's what we called it or maybe it was called 12 night swap or something like that but it was only on the Scrappy side of the board) - someone included a gingerbread man that had a been stitched in a red/white thread. Does anyone know who made this? I love it and the gingerbread man is the perfect size.
