I joined the original board around 1999, and I’m 57 now. So about 25 years. Wow!

I had to be around 23-25... the reason I remember is that my sister had just graduated high school and joined the Air Force and her first duty was in Qatar... I mainly hung out on the Simple Scrapbook board.. there wasnt a whole lot of people and the board moved fairly slow... so it felt like a family...
I worked night shift and it was daytime for my sister and we would IM each other while I was on break and while I was talking to her I would catch up on the SS board and it didnt take long so I would lurk on the nsbr... I joined but posted very very rarely.... because when I did post by the time I checked in the next night it was already several pages gone... that board moved sooo fast *back in the day*..
Im 49 now... so more than half my life... minus my family and my bff this is the longest relationship I have had with anyone...

Joined the original site in 2000 or 2001 and I am about to turn 70 so work the maths - I’m too old for that….

About 1/2 of my life....mostly lurking, but I always enjoyed reading here, have received some great advice and have learned quite a few things. My kids grew up, in the meantime.

When did the original boards launch? Because I was early there (I had a pretty low member #), although I wasn’t super active. I’m 52 now, so whatever that math works out to. Pretty sure I was getting heavy boxes of paper in my NY apartments, so I am guessing late 90s/early 2000s? I picked up scrapbooking in at a summer internship in New Hampshire and had trouble getting supplies back in NY, is what I remember. So that’s after I was married, but before I had kids and probably before I graduated law school. It was definitely open around fall of 99 because that was the year I started teaching and I posted about it there. In that case I have been on here pretty much half my life  . |

I joined 2Ps when I was working on scrapbooking my wedding photos in 1999. I was 21.
I’m now 46, so more than half my life.😜

I grabbed my info before the old board closed. I registered in 2003, but lurked for a year or two prior. I was mostly on the NBSR and scrapping boards. I mainly lurked, though.
