I don't know why, but that just popped into my head as I was perusing the board, and now I'm curious.
I've been a "registered" Pea for over 23 years, though I lurked for probably 9 months before I made an account.
Anyhow, that is well over 1/3rd of my life. It also happens to also be the same length of my marriage. My son was 11 when I became a Pea. He is now 34. 34 for heaven's sake!
My life was COMPLETELY different 23 years ago. I mean like night and day different. * I started typing out how so, but it just got too wordy!
So anyhow, tell us, in terms of your lifetime, how long have you been a Pea?

I too mostly lurked and then lost that original account, then joined again when my youngest was a newborn. So- she is 23 now. But I was there a year or so before that really.
Ironically also as long as my marriage lasted!

Probably close to 1/3 of my life. I think I was a Pea for close to ten years on the old board, although I wasn’t very active on there until the last couple years. I hadn’t quite hit the ten year mark there. And I’ve been on here since the beginning of this iteration which has been another ten.

Over 1/3 of my life. It’s been 24 years and I’m 62. My kids were 5 and 9…they’re almost 30 and 34 now! Early days I was registered but lurked. I was scared of the nsbr!! I posted in the gallery and was active on the CK message board back then.
ETA: It’s just a hair under 40%!

I don't remember when 2peas started, but I was within a year of it starting. It must have 98 or 99? I was there in 99 for sure.
So half my life.

I don't remember how long I was on the old board but I'm going to guess when I started. For about 30% of my life, I have participated on the boards. I wasn't as active on the old board. I remember reading a lot of fun threads and trying to stay out of the fray.

I don't know what year I joined the original board. I started scrapping when DD was about 2 or 3yo, so sometime around the turn of the century. (Hahaha doesn't the phrase "turn of the century" make it seem sooooo long ago?!)
I started off at DMarie, then Scrapjazz, and a local Aussie site, and somehow ended up at the original 2 Peas. I guess it would have been around 2001 or thereabouts. So about 41% of my lifetime.

Not sure what year the original pea board started.
1998? 1999? Does anyone know?
I was in my early 30's and I am now in my late 50's.
My original pea number was under 100. I lost my original number when the board or server (not sure what exactly happened) crashed and I had to sign up again and create a new account.
I'm guessing, I have been a pea for approximately 45%-ish of my life.

I joined in 2004, so 20 years which is 30% of my life. DD was still in high school and upset with me for going to a Houston pea meet up with people I only knew from online. She was convinced they could be axe murders!  |

I was pregnant with my oldest daughter, who turned 20 last month, when I joined the original 2 Peas in 2004. I have a soon-to-be 17 year-old daughter, too, now. When I joined, I was 25, worked from home, my marriage wasn't great,and I was desperately lonely for friendship. My girls were 3 and 6 when I got divorced; I remarried 10 years ago to a great man (we got married right around the time the old board shut down and I found this new board about a month afterwards and signed up with a new user name, as my original name contained my old last name). I don't post a lot, but definitely lurk as often as I have time. I feel like I grew up with this board--I'm 45 now. ❤️
