Good morning. Today is a very busy day. I have PT for my stupid shoulder. Then I have my annual. After that I have to go witness someone signing a document. Then I have my voice lesson. Ods is coming home and he's going to bring dinner. Dh and ds will have to decide what they want. I will be very tired tmw and that's OK, cause I don't have anything planned, so far.
What's on your menu?
What is everyone up to today?
Wishing everyone well today!

Happy Monday!
I'm plugging along at work but will probably be wrapped up by this afternoon. I should take that time to do stuff around the house but will probably just Pea.
I'm making Pioneer Woman's chicken spaghetti tonight so I should have leftovers for a few days.
Not much going on for a Monday which is just fine by me!
Hope you all have a great day!

Xfinity/Comcast in our area is going to be upgraded today so it will be cut off any minute and be out all day. I have AquaFit this morning, then my chiropractor then Crazy Rummy this afternoon. Busy day! Dinner will be grilled flank steak.

Hello good friend and good morning! PT for your shoulder sounds like it could be painful. And hopefully the annual exam is a relatively easy appointment. Not near as exciting as your specialists, I hope. I'm glad you get the night off from cooking too scrapmaven . I think we are just going to have rechauffe. Or more properly, round #2 of shish kabobs. I'm all out of corn, so I will probably go with some rice. I think I've finally decided on my Christmas supplies. I got a mini traveler's notebook yesterday from Etsy. It's a tiny 4"x5.5" booklet. I thought that would be perfect to scrapbook my low-key Christmas this year. I liked the traveler's notebook for my Mammoth Cave trip. Today, I'm just cleaning up. I have to work a bit late due to a late afternoon meeting. But I took off Friday afternoon. Hopefully we can get out of here and on our way in time to beat the rush hour traffic through Grand Rapids. We hit it last time and that stinks. Otherwise, all's quiet. ETA: my coworker hasn't been in all morning and she just messaged right after I hit send to let us know she's out sick again today.

What a busy day scrapmaven Enjoy! I had a quiet low key weekend. Some crafty time. I even scrapbooked a little, something I haven't done in a LONG time. jeremysgirl- I am glad you had a visit with your dad this weekend- he had wise advice for you. I think DH is coming back from the ranch today, so back to planning dinners :-) I picked up a bountiful basket on Saturday, so I now have an abundance of veggies to use. Dinner is likely to be Salmon and roasted veggies. Wishing everyone a great day!

Happy Monday! Busy day here as well. Had to have the dog to the vet at 7:30 am for the surgery he is having to remove a claw. It's been giving him (and me) problems for a few months now and they decided to remove it. Not sure if he'll be able to come home tonight or not until after they call me. Of course, knowing I had to be up super early I of course tossed and turned all night. Reminded me of when I knew I had a super early flight in our expat days and could never get a good sleep that night. Can I just say I do NOT miss the days of carpool and commuting to work!
Add to that that DH is having a procedure today at 3 pm which will require the operating room. Only 30 min, but I still want to be there. Other than that, he is doing very well, gaining strength every day and doing more breathing on his own with supplemental oxygen. We've just had to adjust our timelines and settle in for the journey.
So other than some needlepoint, not much will happen today. Not sure what dinner will be. I actually cooked a steak and veggies for myself last night so it'll be something easy. Either a salad or rechauffe.
Hope everyone has a good week ahead!

**GypsyGirl**, I will think easy, healing thoughts for your doggie. May your dh's procedure lead him further into the healing stages. ((((HUGS))).

Had to have the dog to the vet at 7:30 am for the surgery he is having to remove a claw. It's been giving him (and me) problems for a few months now and they decided to remove it. I'm sure the vet has thought about it, but the dog will need an antibiotic. Dog paws (cat too) are so gross it's hard to keep a wound clean. DH is having a procedure today at 3 pm which will require the operating room. Only 30 min, but I still want to be there. Other than that, he is doing very well, gaining strength every day and doing more breathing on his own with supplemental oxygen. We've just had to adjust our timelines and settle in for the journey. I'm glad it's not something major. Good vibes sent.

Holy moly, it’s a hot one today! Hate not being outside but I’ll be in the house most of the day.
Went to the local farm market this morning and bought a couple mum plants. I’ve changed the outdoor decor from summer flowers to fall so that’s done.
Supper will be something grillled to go along with some fresh corn also purchased at the farm market.

Weirdly Delta is texting me all his flight delays & gate changes but not hi Dinner will most likely be chicken & salad. jeremysgirl your dad had really good advice. I have to stay home until 4 pm because they are testing the fire alarms in our condo complex today ... haven't heard anything yet and no one has come to my door ... I don't have any real plans of anything to do around here ... Big surprise I know! I go back to work next week so I'm just enjoying my last days off! I cooked last night for myself and my mum so tonight will be takeout I think!

Sounds like a busy day, scrapmaven. I'm glad dinner is being handled by your guys. Your annual just reminded me I haven't heard back from my PCP to schedule mine. Ugh. Her medical group was swallowed by a much larger one and then cyber attacked so all appointment requests go to a call center now (no online portal). Non urgent things like scheduling an annual have a 5 day call-back window. I've called 3 times in the last month and still haven't received a call-back so plan to stop in and say "hi" at the office this week. As much as I've been poked and prodded in the last year, I'm way overdue a few things. You are getting hit from both sides, **GypsyGirl**. I kind of hope your pup stays overnight as it is one less thing on your plate for today. Hope everything goes smoothly for your DH. How is the PNW camping trip, ntsf? The weather doesn't sound like it is co-operating. AussieMeg, your beach dinner from yesterday looks fabulous. I'm nursing injuries on the top of my big toes from a pair of sandals that aren't new. My favorites broke last week, so this pair were bumped up to daily wear and I guess I'd never walked a couple miles in them. Halfway through I knew I was going to end up with a raw spots, but had no choice but to keep walking. I still plan to go to a Yin Yoga class (deep stretching) and then my dermatologist to see what she says about hair growth and a psoriasis flare. I saw her a few months ago and the "my oncologist wants her opinion on . . ." got a quick appointment. She told me to come back when I stopped chemo so a couple weeks ago I phoned for the appointment and was offered Nov 25th as the earliest. I laughed and said I hoped by then I wouldn't need to see her for help. The scheduler double checked and was able to get me in today. Trader Joes will be the last stop. I'm still not sure what is for dinner and might call a fend for yourself night as there is no shortage of proteins (burgers and drumsticks) in the fridge. Although I'm craving an Asian veggie bowl so might put out bits and pieces for anyone that wants to build their own. Knowing my peeps them have both.

Another cool rainy day today, so I stayed home and putted around on the computer. We are going on a late ‘summer’ vacation in the first week of October, so I was doing a bit of research. We’re driving down to Italy - Venice and Merano - as I have restrictions on flying for a bit. Dinner tonight was Thai green curry with chicken and vegetables.

A quick check in while I wait for the chiropractor to come in. AquaFit was different. It was a guy instead of our usual gal and I found his routine to be a tad boring.

BLTs and steamed green beans for us. And chips of some sort.
MIL moved from the hospital to rehab last Thursday (there is a LONG saga that I wont bore you with lol).
Yesterday, I called her out on her racism while we were visiting. 🙄

I’ve been social media free for a few days so I need to go back and catch up on all of your adventures from then. I hope everyone has been able to enjoy the last couple weeks of August. I’ve had both pups to the vet for their annuals shots and check ups. The14 year old will need a cyst removed as well as another procedure next month. He’s in spectacular health for his age so the surgery should keep him from having any future problems. My only problem with this is the $1500 in vet bills but I adore my pets so I’m not grousing too much.
Dinner tonight is my Monday night get together with DD and sweet Norah. She is getting such a personality. I will start watching her when DD goes back to work after Labor Day. Anyway, I’m making Pulled ranch chicken sandwiches with grilled veggies for dinner. Should be delicious.
Off now to catch up on all of your shenanigans!

I'm sure you are excited to have such a close relationship with her.

Happy Monday! I am working in the office today with a late meeting scheduled (darn 4:30pm Teams meetings!) so I'm making an easy dinner: cheese tortellini with homemade alfredo sauce, garlic bread, and leftover salad from Saturday night's dinner. Our Wildgrain box this month included the cheese tortellini and I'm excited to try it! Their other pastas have been great.

Question:
As you know, I’m going in a cruise with my bestie in one month!!! I haven’t flown in years so I need some advice. We are flying United Airlines and are allowed a carryon and a personal item free of charge. My carryon is within the size requirements so no issues with that. However, I bought a cute functional backpack awhile ago thinking I could use it as my personal item but it’s too big. What do people use as their personal item? I don’t carry a big purse but I do have a crossbody purse like thingy that I could take but it doesn’t hold things like a change of clothes or water bottle, etc. Not sure about a tote bag, smaller backpack, etc. Everything I’ve looked at is too big!

What kind of bag/case is your main carry on, and what do you put in it? It sounds like you want to put the things that I put in my main carry on, in your other personal bag. For my carry on bags for this trip, I used a backpack and also a cross body bag. The backpack had my power banks (because you're not allowed to put them in your checked luggage, my MacBook (I wanted to use it on the plane), some snacks, a cardigan, our passports, and various other bits & pieces. I put my phone, wallet, lip balm in my cross body bag.

We walked down the main drag looking for somewhere for dinner. I said to DSO that there was to be no dilly-dallying, we just had to stop at the first authentic Thai place we came across. We had Panang Chicken and pineapple fried rice, which was delicious. Then on the way back to the resort, we stopped off at a street vendor selling banana pancakes.
