I love time capsule homes, although this one is pretty boring. It's impeccably clean, mom must have had some pretty strict rules around that place!
I love the fish wallpaper and the fighter plane light but that's pretty much the only personality in the whole place.

I'm in love! I would likely want to redo the kitchen cabinets and probably get rid of the carpet. Otherwise, oh yeah!

I actually really like it - I mean the carpet could leave but otherwise it's really functional with all the built-ins and I could see living in it. I do like MCM though

It's like no one ever lived there in some ways--both in that it looks just very minimally staged, and that most things are in such amazing condition.
Love the combo of the green carpeting & the orange chairs in the living room. And I like that the bathrooms are all original, especially the mint green one.

I love the fish wallpaper and the fighter plane light but that's pretty much the only personality in the whole place. I agree that the plane light fixture is very cool, and it makes me wonder if at some point the rest of that room may have been more colorful/interesting. I think sometimes houses can actually remove too much personality before listing, and this is somewhat like that for me. It truly looks like a model home for a new development more than a house that has had people living in it for the past 60-ish years. And I suppose if you love the 60s style and want a house that still feels new, then this is great. But I kind of like a house with 60 years of history to share a bit of that with me.

The furniture was in storage. The parents died and the kids used the furniture to stage the house. I can't believe what good condition the house is in. I love the green and blue bathrooms.

I find this house strangely appealing.

Hopefully those gorgeous oak floors are also hiding under that hideous green carpet

That house looks immaculate. It looks almost sterile with no wear or usage evidence.

I like MCM but that needs work to be a little more lively and fun. Hate the tile in the bathrooms.

Here's one I like, we have a few issues (is that an oven...built into the counter space? Are there three fridges in the basement?), and it's far too white, but this can easily be brought back to splendor. I'm going to be living in the basement, bowling down there on that floor and living in that FABULOUS BAR! www.zillow.com/homedetails/16640-Curtis-St-Roseville-MI-48066/83574472_zpid/

I kind of like the blue bathroom but everything else would have to go. I wouldn't know whether to hoover or mow that green carpet!

The Curtis property is a one owner home and has been maliciously maintained over the years.

My favorite part, once again, was the green bathroom tiles. I am a sucker for those square mid-century bathroom tiles. I am actually a bit crushed that my own house didn't have them in at least one bathroom. Instead the powder room was done in a 1940s hardboard made to look like square tiles, instead. It's a minor tragedy in my life.

I love it. I would update the carpet and the curtains and keep the rest. If it was in my city I would go look at it in person.

I found it pretty bland for the most part. The upholstered furniture though? It wasn’t bland, it was awful.

I lived through that era--yes, the avocado green carpet was in all the homes.
Photo #9--Wonder what the door (brown square) is beside the fireplace.

I kind of like it! It is totally not my style and I don't think I'd want to live in it but it is interesting. One question: What are those slits under the cabinet over top of the utility sink in the laundry room?

The house I grew up in had a door next to the fireplace. On the other side of the door was the garage with a shelf/box thing that dad would stack wood on. When in the house, we would open the door to get a log for the fireplace.

It appears there are strings through the holes. I have no idea on what is going on. Photo #31 Is it a way to hang a garment and let it drip dry over the sink?

My whole neighbourhood is like that LOL. Built in 1961, bungalows and side-splits. The majority have been updated. We still have those honey coloured hardwoods in the bedrooms.
I don't think I could live with this kitchen or the bathrooms. Spotless otherwise.

It's in remarkably good condition. It would make a great TV set. I'm sure someone will update it but I hope they leave some of the 60's touches.

I think this house is dreamy! I do love mid century modern, and this house looks like no one even lived in it — or someone very carefully refurnished it. I would get a headboard and comforter for that bed, but not much else needed!

Not my style but I saw a few familiar styles. The blue dining chairs I swear my mom had some similar but different color. This house wasn’t bad. It’s in amazing shape but like others have said it’s pretty boring. I couldn’t live with no window blinds. That would just creep me out too much at night.
