Wow, I slacked off posting last month...that is what the beginning of the school year does to me. I'm still where I was with weight, but I'm definitely stronger. I need to buy heavier dumbbells.
I'm gonna do a 5k/10k in Vegas in Feb. I have a friend that is supposed to meet me there, but if any of you are also doing it, I'd love to meet up.
It's the Rock N Roll one...

I havent been participating in this thread bc I didn't feel I had much to contribute due to my knees, and in Aug,I freaking pulled or tore a calf muscle - I'm in a boot now for 2-4 weeks (just finished week 1). The boot helps so much. I have been able to swim so thats about it for activity for me. Unfortunatley the neighborhood pools shut down today, so I'll have to go buy a punch pass for our local community college, which is fine, just not as easy as down the street.
I am on Wegovy and took my 3rd shot of the 1.0 dose, and I realized I am down 10lbs from starting. It's slow, but due to my knees and then my calf, I am thrilled. No real side effects, but this current dose is really kicking my ass.

I am just back from my most amazing Bicycling trip through France....We biked 20- 40kilometers every day...through god awful heat I might add😱 Also walked a lot...various walking tours of some areas, definitely got my steps in and earned toms of heart points!!! I felt strong and healthy. That being said they fed us amazing 3 course meals every night at dinner, and I have yet to step on the scale. I know I didn't lose any weight ..will be happy to have maintained. I also did not reach my personal goal before the trip....summer is so hard for me I do better on the loss front during fall and winter.

I was gone on vacation for 10 days at the end of August. Came home and I had lost one pound. We hiked for four days in two different national parks then spent another four days walking around Las Vegas. I didn't get any strength training in during that time so I am back at that. I can tell a big difference from our rip last year when we hiked two other parks. My stamina and endurance has greatly improved.

Hi things are going well. I am not at 4 weeks yet and have lost 11 lbs. jeremysgirl knocked some sense in me and said 20/mo is too ambitious. It is. The good news is I feel better. I am not exercising much and don’t’t go out that often. I am working unsuccessfully at that. I am just happy about the weight situation.

Im down 10 lbs. I leave for our Fall vacation in about 10 days so there is no chance I will hit my goal of 20 lbs lost, but so be it. My food intake is good, but I am on the struggle bus being motivated to actually workout. it's been so dang hot ( 100+ degrees for like 25 days). thankfully, Fall has come finally and the temps are dropping. Tomorrow I will start my early am walking to add to my Peloton rides.

Hi things are going well. I went to a restaurant last night and they had just sold out of lobster au gratin. I was miffed in my head. Then I gave my head a shake. Why would I care about eating that when I don’t do carbs? I then was mad at myself for thinking that. I ate lobster bisque which was delightful (some croutons) and I got vegetables and extra vegetables with dinner. I was so pleased with my food choices. I told my dad and he said the croutons would be fine. I was one appetizer ever. I had lovely steak for dinner and no dessert.
I am doing well staying on track. I am back to exercising but it’s not much.
I am down 11 lbs. It has been 4 weeks since I started. I do feel much better. My clothes are looser now. That is nice.

I slacked on posting last month. I got Covid, and I was down for the count. The only good thing about it was that I finally busted through the 190s plateau I'd been at since April (that's when I crossed into Onederland).
I'm at 185.6 right now. I'd still like to lose another 20 pounds to be "normal" weight.
I've been waiting tables since mid July as a bridge job, and I'm not as sore as I was when I started, so that is a good thing. I definitely get in lots of steps/movement doing that, so I suppose that is a good thing. 😉
I'm still on Wegovy, but I've been on the 1.7 dose for the past month, since my doc was concerned about my BP dropping when I stood up too quickly/leaned over. I definitely feel lightheaded when I lean over and then stand up, so I need to keep an eye on it.
I leave for the We Create crop that Scrapbook Generation hosts on Tuesday, so I'm taking off from work Tues- the following Tues - my mom's birthday is the 17th, so I asked for that day off as well, otherwise they probably would have scheduled me for that day. We'll see what happens during this week.
I have noticed those size 12 pants I purchased are starting to feel a little loose, so I'm interested to see if they are just stretching out or if I've gone down another size. I tried on one of my old suits that was too small for a little while, and it was rather comical. I've decided to donate the suit, as I don't currently need any for work, and I am desperately hoping I am never a size 22 again.

I am going to do another month of 1.0 bc I really have to think about eating on this dose, and I find I have heads/some nausea a day or two after the shot... This is the first time since I started to not increase my dose after the box is gone.

I'm still on the Wegovy as well. I've been on 1.7 the past 2 months and will pick up my refill for the same dose for the next 2 months. Happy to report I am no longer morbidly obese, just obese. I'm only down 37.6 pounds in the past 11 months but I've cut my blood pressure med in half and my fasting blood sugar has been consistently under 100 now the past few weeks. It's never been under 100 for the past 10-15 years.

I rejoined the Gina Livy program - and Day One was yesterday. I had to ignore everything - I’d been fasting for a colonoscopy so I really didn’t do anything yesterday. But it’s technically a prep week to get you set up for success.
My goal is to listen to all the lives and the guest speakers - she has a podcast that will have them all so I can listen while I work. I didn’t listen to any of them the first go around. And definitely up my veggies and leafy greens.
Progress over perfection!

I always have to lose a few pounds at the end of the summer - too much party eating. I started wearing an Apple Watch this summer and decided that closing out my three rings has to happen each day. I faithfully use my Peloton bike and I walk more. I am snacking less and making less damaging choices when I do. I am making sure to not overeat at meals. Right now I am not weighing myself, but I have a pair of shorts that I try on daily. They fit looser this week than they did last week. Soon I am going to become someone who gets on the scale every single day. I did that faithfully for a couple of years and it really does make a difference for me. If I do it now, I worry that I’ll just beat myself up over the number.

Has anybody else fallen down the "eat a cucumber a day" rabbit hole on TikTok?
You watch one and then your feed is all cucumbers LOL
He's this cute young guy from Ontario and he makes all kinds of cucumber recipes and shakes them up in a container and eats the whole thing.
I've tried the Asian one (soy sauce, sesame oil, fish sauce, rice wine vinegar, grated garlic, and the spicy chili flakes in a jar) SO yummy!

So I had Bunco this week and several friends noticed that I have lost weight. And I won a Bunco prize so it was a great evening!
Then I was digging for some crap in a box that was buried under other crap in boxes yesterday in our nasty garage and I came across a pile of 'I'm too fat for these' clothes that never made it to Goodwill. Nice pair of denim capris on the top that I tried on and they fit like a glove! And I found the box of crap I was looking for! WIN WIN!

Finished the first week of the P.E. program from Caolone Girvan. I love it. It is challenging but very good.
I'm going to try to eat in a deficit this week to lose a bit of fat, but not so low that I don't build muscle. It is a fine line.
I'm also upping my water intake and hoping to get a minimum of 7000 steps per day

I am back from camping and ready to get back at it. I ate whatever I wanted on the camping trip. I actually felt terrible. I had heartburn 3 days.
My health markers were pretty good. I am encouraged. But I am still plagued with my A1C being higher than I'd like. I have decided that I am going to make it a point to use my elliptical for at least 10 minutes after every time I eat. I am hoping the increase in physical activity will bring my blood sugar down.
I am also considering cutting out any added sugars. This is hard for someone who likes to bake as much as I do. I have quite a sweet tooth. But I think it'll be a step in the right direction.
My neighbor is my coworker and we've decided to sneak out at lunch time and have a walk each day too. Her son is in school now so she can step away and get some steps in.

Today starts Week One of the Livy program. Last week was prep week (get used to how things go, get all the information, learn a few things).
My colonoscopy combined with my brother's wedding/travel away for the weekend resulted in no change in the scale numbers really. But that's ok - I'm ready for a new week and have a rough plan for some new dinner ideas that DH & DS will enjoy and work for me too.
And I managed to listen to all of her lives last week via her podcast while I was working. I'll continue that this week - her guest speakers are amazing and give really good insight to help.

I'm back from the We Create crop. I managed to lose 1.2 pounds this week, so I'm happy.
I put my size 14 jeans in the donate pile today, along with two XL tops I took with me. I bought some new size 10 jeans, so I'm set for a bit.
I need to see my doc, because the pain in my neck that I thought was work related was bugging me this week.

Week 1 (technically 2 but first week is Prep Week) is almost done -just the weekend left. But the scale has definitely started moving! I'm down a whole 1.6 pounds - I'll take it.
I'm also managing to get all my water in most days. And I'm finding my mouth is dry if I'm not drinking often enough, which is prompting me to drink more. Food plan is going well this week too. A few new to us recipes went over well with DH & DS - a tex mex chicken bake, a mushroom/pork tenderloin in cream sauce, and stuffed chicken breasts (spinach, sun dried tomatoes & feta).
We got a bin for our driveway and will be clearing all the crap out of the basement - so hopefully next week my workout area will be useable again and I can get back to it!

Omg how hard does it have to be to lose one pound. It’s all good. I am down 12 and things are great. I need to work harder on the exercise and will soon. I am just unmotivated to do so. My goal was to lose the weight by January. I see that’s not going to happen.
What is your collective opinion on me getting a bathing suit? I have a size 6 bikini and let’s be real. I weigh way too much to fit it. Do you know where I can get one now?

I am down another pound. I weighed myself last on 9/6 which was the end of my experiment. I was down 11.4. I did not weigh in two weeks because of all the camp food the week following. But finally yesterday I weighed in after almost a week back on my plant based eating. So I'm down a total of 12.6. That's over 15 weeks now. I'm pretty happy with that.
And I was off sugar all week but I did go out for a vegan meal last night because they had a peaches and cream cheesecake on their special last night. The nice thing about this restaurant is that the portions are reasonable. They don't have the humongous portions that many restaurants do so I had a nice, modest sized piece of cheesecake. I'm back to my no sugar today.
I need to do my meal planning for the week and get out to the market. I'm having a lot of fun with a new cookbook.
And I'll also add that as of Thursday, I was 5 months smoke free. I'm pretty proud of myself.
