How long would it take you to be presentable?

After 4pm? I'd need a minute to put my bra back on.
You get me. My hair is washed daily and blow dried. I don't style it unless it's in a ponytail or bun and you will see my undercut.
I don't wear make up.
I'm always in comfy clothes at home and won't change. I see no need to. So tee shirt and shorts or tee as pants or tee and sweats.
Now if I am hosting...I will wear something Id wear out if the home. Nice shorts or pants and tee or sweater.
But yeah, I am not one to get dolled up for company. Enjoy my home and me for me.

It would only take 10-15 minutes to get company ready but if you just pop by it’s like not going to be pretty 😀

Not really. It would probably take me a solid 30 min to be ready to see someone in my home.
I love hanging out with my family and friends, but mostly outside of the house. I find hosting people to be stressful, especially making sure that we have everything we need, and being able to chat with everyone. I hate feeling like I haven’t gotten around to talking to everyone.
I kind of view our home as our space. A peaceful place to retreat from the world, and others.

I work from home, and would usually need at least 5 minutes to put on a bra underneath my clothes. I could be camera ready for an impromptu meeting in 15.

As much as I’m ever going to be, LOL. I virtually never wear makeup, so that’s not an issue. I’ll almost always be clean and dressed unless it’s between the hours of about 10:30 pm and 6:00 am weekdays and 9-10 am weekends, then I’m probably still in pjs.

If I'm at home not expecting anyone, I'm usually braless and in something not pretty. It'd take me 5 minutes to change clothes and put a bra on then that would be good enough.

Well I mostly don't care if my hair and makeup are done, or if I have on nice clothes, so sure. Come on over. I almost always put on a bra first thing so that's not an issue.
I do quickly make myself more presentable (if I haven't done so already) before the first of my students arrives at 4:00.

I don't wear makeup and all I usually see is my family so I would be ready most of the time.
I took a shower this morning and didn't do my hair. Usually I'd put it in a pony before I saw people, but I had to take something to my sister's for my mom and just went with undid hair. They understand.
I dress for the day which is usually shorts and a nice shirt so this is as good as it get before fall hits.

The chances of me answering the door to anyone I didn’t know was stopping by are slim to none. So I am never worried about my appearance. I spent my entire career making myself presentable for work. Now I just avoid mirrors and I’m good to go. (I’m not a complete slatherass. I do shower and comb my hair daily. Oh, and clean under wear. And I brush my teeth. So basic hygiene - I got that covered.)

maybe - do I know you're coming? then yes, I'm ready. Is it after 9/10am? then yes, I'm ready. Is it earlier in the morning? please call first and give me 15 minutes to shower and dress.
I'm generally wearing the same sort of clothes around the house that I would wear out of the house - jeans/teeshirt or blouse or short dress/leggings or maxi dress. I don't own makeup and my hair is mostly wash and wear - sometimes I put a shea butter curl cream in but that's the extent of my hair care routine.

Between the hours of 7 am-7 pm yes, because I probably got dressed and had to leave the house to take a kid to school, or run to the store because we're out of something or other. Presentable is capri pants or jeans, a bra, and a t-shirt and/or a hoodie. I don't wear make up very often.
After 7 pm, and my nightly shower that's pajama time and I will not be presentable to the public.
On the rare day I know I won't be leaving the house for any reason, if you show up unannounced I will be braless, wearing pajama shorts and a tank top from 6 am until I go to bed. These days are rare, don't ruin it by coming over unannounced!
If I have to go outside (to get the mail, to water the plants...) I will at least put on a bra, as we don't have a private backyard, and I don't need to entertain the neighbors or give them anything to talk about.

As long as I have clothes on I consider myself company ready for anyone that I know. And If I don’t know you I also am not really concerned as long as I am covered. 99.9 of the time I am in leggings , long or short sleeve tee and probably a fleece vest of sorts. Again, If you know me you would probably know this and assume that is what you are going to encounter. Stop by anytime you want but you get what you get for attire, but everything important will be covered. 😆

If I don't need to wear makeup I would need about five minutes ... If makeup is required then I would ask for 15 minutes ... or 20 if I also need to change out of my yoga pants and sweatshirt! My hair is always in a ponytail so that is a non-issue.

Unless you show up in the half hour or so between finishing exercising and showering for the day, I am presentable. It might be yoga pants and a tank top, but definitely presentable. It would only take me 10 minutes to change it I wanted to dress up a bit more.
I'm in a bra if I'm out of bed, so don't have to worry about getting one on. I have no hair right now, so don't have to worry about doing it.

My hair is always in a ponytail so that is a non-issue. Pretty much this! I don't always put on makeup for company, it depends on who it is. But if I have to do it fast I can put on a decent "natural look" face pretty quickly and I have a lot of dresses so that helps to look "put together". Hair in a messy bun with a pair of hoops and I'm probably good enough.

Yep. You come to see me and you get the real me. I shower every morning, get dressed for the day, comb my wet hair and let it air dry, no make up.
I might be wearing shorts or leggings or crops or pj pants or jeans and a tank top or tee shirt. Always a bra (and undies) never shoes.
I’m probably covered in cat fur because I have a medium hair Velcro cat. I will lint roll myself if someone shows up.
I’m a teacher and what I wear for work is the same as around the house except for pj pants and shorts- those are weekends only.

I’m on camera for work mon-Friday so I’d be company ready in maybe 2 minutes to throw on something besides yoga pants if needed (hair and make up already done). On the weekend I’m probably going to need 10 minutes. I can get ready quickly- my make up routine is pretty light and I don’t wash my hair everyday.

I get up and immediately put on leggings and a work out tank, do my make up and hair., and jewelry.
So I’ll be ready, but in leggings., a tank and a cropped sweatshirt.

In my 30s I cared more. But in my 50s, if you show up unannounced between 9am and 9pm on non-work days I'll be clean and dressed, with minimal makeup if I've gone out, and if I haven't then I don't care. It will only be the neighbours or the delivery man who sees me. Outside those hours, you get what you get.

This is a tough question for me. I shower every day and I wash my hair every day when it is short. But it takes a lot of mental energy to get me in that shower. I might be more motivated if company was coming. I literally spend 4 minutes in the shower. Then I allow my hair to dry a bit before pulling out my hairdryer and round brush. A little moisturizer, brush my teeth, and I am all set.
Just don't look at my legs. I shave on Saturday morning only. Once a week is the most motivation I get to spend 3 extra minutes in the shower shaving.

My kids are grown and I’m retired. Yes, I’m usually five minutes out from being company ready.
When I was still raising kids, going back to school, working? Back then I needed 8 hours to get company ready! And you know what… I’d give up all the company readiness for one day back with my son and daughter as kiddos. 💕

I put on a little makeup even if I’m not going anywhere. Usually mascara, eyeliner blush and lipstick. Otherwise I look dead. I would probably need 5 minutes to put on a bra and probably change out of my leggings.

I'm only company ready if I know company is coming. (Okay, or if someone happened to show up here either right as I was about to go out or just as I came home, then I'd be presentable, but otherwise, never.) Otherwise, I tend to live in my most comfortable clothing at home, but also, my most worn, because I am just not a graceful, neat person. If I'm crafting, I'll wind up covered in glue or ink. If I'm cooking, I'm likely to have dropped something on myself. Cleaning? Probably spilled something at some point and now smell like floor cleaner. And if I'm doing something outside? Forget it! Dirt, grass stains, you name it. So day to say I will wear clothing that is already sporting stains or holes, and if you show up unannounced, that's how you'll find me. I wait until the last minute to put on "good" clothes before I head out of the house, and I change immediately out of those things when I return. I'm like a little kid who never out-grew play clothes.

15 minutes max. I don't wear makeup and only feel the need to fill in my ever thinning/graying brows. The most I'd have to do is a quick shower. If my hair needs washing, I can get by with my dry shampoo.

It would take me maybe 5 minutes & that's only if I am still in my pjs. Otherwise what you see is what you get.
I usually wear jeans & tee-shirt no makeup and my hair maybe up depending.

I'm always in sweat pants, joggers, whatever you call them and a tshirt or sweater. I typically only wear mascara when going out so wouldn't worry if I didn't have any on. If I didn't do my hair that that it still would look alright. The curl would have fallen and one side a little more wonky than the other but it's not a rats nest. I'd prefer if my hair had been washed and styled that day but I wouldn't be embarrassed if you just popped in.
