Lack of cashiers in stores. Eyebrows that look like they were drawn on with an extra wide sharpie marker. It's hard not to stare at crazy eyebrows. I hate the eyebrow craze. I have no issues with a thicker eyebrow, it is certainly less for me to pluck. I just don't see where people think the look you describe was ever a good look.

Last weekend in rural western Wisconsin, we were at a bar on a popular lake. There was a woman sitting next to my husband and her eyelashes were way too thick and curved all the way up to her eyebrows. I almost laughed out loud. It just looked strange especially since her hair was on the thinner side. My eye doctor says these remind him of Snuffleupagus! LOL

Crop tops. Too long fingernails. Dramatic, huge eyebrows or eyelashes. These rubber slides View AttachmentHaha. These are by my front door for taking the dogs out for a poop. They have never gone anywhere other than my yard. I found them for $2 at Walmart. They look like I found them for $2 at Walmart.

Giant eyelashes and the weird, thick drawn-on eyebrows. I also dont understand the 400 layers of different makeup products to make your face look like a mannequin rather than a person. 🤷🏼♀️ And none of these things would bother me if I werent seeing them EVERYWHERE. Very few people actually look good with any or all of those things. Ok, I gotta know where you live please! Just a general-ish area is ok. I’m in Seattle, get out often enough…to nice places where folks put their *best face forward* and very rarely see the whole overdone makeup thing (thankfully). To be fair, I mostly see these things on social media. The lashes though, I do see locally- i do think less often than a few years ago.

I also dont understand the 400 layers of different makeup products to make your face look like a mannequin rather than a person. 🤷🏼♀️ I was fascinated watching the women on Love Island do their make-up this summer. So many layers and colors that made me realize how out of touch I am with current make-up trends. It is! Particularly because I’d been an even 5’4” until about 5-6 years. I’m not saying 5’3” unless my dr measures me at that height at 3 annual physical appts in a row 😆LOL I am using this at my annual later this month. I used to be an easy 5'1" and now am desperately holding onto 5'. The pointed wing eyeliner thing coming off the outside corner of your eyes. This I love! The gymnast eyes during the Olympics were so impressive IMHO!

I think different people can carry off so many of these trends that aren't for me. I guess this stuff doesn't bother me. I like people being different than me.
I feel like I have seen enough decades go by that things that are new to some are not to me. Why not let people who haven't experienced the different styles just enjoy it all?
My hangup is probably more of people altering their bodies and not their styles.

I think the slightly torn jeans wouldn't bother me so much if the holes/fraying were in a spot where it might actually occur. At the end of last winter, I busted a hole thru the knee of my favorite jeans. I think I'm going to go with it.Yes! I had an almost new pair of denim cuffed crops that a broken desk ripped a hole in the thigh on. The hole got bigger and bigger as the fabric got thinner and thinner. Now? 4 years later? The knees are both torn out and the holes on the thighs (not high up and indecent) are pretty big. Since it happened "at work", I still wear them for work. LOL. I only wear them every other week but they're SOOOO comfortable. I think I'm going to wear them tomorrow actually. I have a pair of jean that will never fit me again (but I haven't given up hope) that have all kinds of authentic rips and holes. They're my all time favorites and didn't start that way. Maybe one day they'll fit again- if my spread hips from having 2 kids disappeared. 🤣😂😭

I saw a slim caucasian girl coming out of a gym in Thailand the other day. She had the biggest arse I have ever seen in my life on a slim girl. It was Kim K x 2. I wish I had taken a photo, but I was too shocked.

I'm sure that the oldies back in the 80s didn't like my pink and purple eyeshadow with blue eyeliner and mascara either, so who am I to mock people with those massive fake eyelashes and duck lips?

“Sister-wifey” dresses for grown women. Puffed sleeves are for six-year-olds (I said what I said) and all that gathered fabric makes me look like the wife of Omar the Tentmaker. Make it stop. Maybe I’m paranoid, but I see it as dressing us to “keep sweet and obey.”

Well, in fairness ,when I look back at photos with my big bangs and blue eyeshadow, I don't like it, either!

I feel like I have seen enough decades go by that things that are new to some are not to me. Why not let people who haven't experienced the different styles just enjoy it all? I tend to agree. I’m fascinated by the long ornate fingernails but only to see them on others. They aren’t my style. Same with the overly full, bushy eyelashes. I’m intrigued by them and can’t believe they aren’t annoying to wear but I’m entertained by those who wear them. What a boring world it would be if we all did life in the same way.

I just want to be able to buy a full shirt. OMG, so much this. Especially for my 9th grader who is a little fluffy in the middle, it’s really a challenge to find a normal length t-shirt or sweater. It seems like every time I think I find something on the rack in a color that she might like, I pull it out and NOPE, it’s another one of those damn crop tops. My kid would say she’s over the Nike crew socks with Birkenstocks trend. Especially when they’re paired with leggings that are tucked into the socks. It looks SO dumb. Yesterday we were dropping her off at school to play in the pep band for a football game and I saw a girl wearing black crew socks and Birkenstock sandals. It looked so stupid. I wanted to say, “Your great grandpa called and wants his shoes and socks back!” I’ve never been a fan of the ripped jeans trend and never could understand why someone would intentionally buy them that way new. I want to wear out my clothes myself and do a pretty good job of it on my own, LOL.

I also dont understand the 400 layers of different makeup products to make your face look like a mannequin rather than a person. 🤷🏼♀️ I have seen some people heavily made up and to me it looks like 'funeral makeup' in person. It might photograph well, but in person it is kinda scary! Also, I can see those two lines you drew down your nose and the white circle at the tip of your nose. It does not elongate your nose, it just looks odd... LOL My question every time, "How do they wipe" ... ick. ICK! ICK! And please quick clacking/tapping them. Ok enough cattiness from me today!

Yes--as mentioned by others, the eyelashes that look like tarantulas. So many of the women news reporters seem to be doing that--I had to change the channel the other day as it was so distracting I couldn't pay attention to what she was saying.

Crop tops. Too long fingernails. Dramatic, huge eyebrows or eyelashes. These rubber slides View Attachment I have a couple pairs of those slides. One is by the front door for when I need to water the front flowers or go out to the mailbox. One is by the back door. And I have one in my gym bag. I usually come straight home from the gym, but I’ll occasionally have to make a quick stop somewhere and I’ll wear those into the store instead of putting my gym shoes back on. I have no shame. 😂

I see the appeal of the slides for around the house. I have a pair of ugly croc style that I use for that purpose. It's just a ME problem that I don't like them. I think what started my dislike where these bubble slides They give me the heeby-jeebies!
