Just a couple notes on some things I have read about the rescue and clean up efforts in NC.
I saw that there have been several near misses in the air bc there are so many aircraft up and moving. This may have contributed to limiting or closing air space if it happened.
People are complaining that they are turning away volunteers. Yes, they don't want inexperienced people to trek into the mountains and mudslides etc to get stuck and need rescuing.
All of the lies and misinformation are really making things worse. Unfortunately it seems like 40% of the country believe all the lies without doing any checking or research. It is infuriating when so many people just continue repeating the lies and make things worse.
Where do we go from here?

Very it gave me goosebumps. While we know this is happening all over now but I keep hearing no that can’t happen because they are allowed to save the mother. They don’t get it. Women are dying, infant mortality is going up, women are losing their fertility because if waiting too long before being able yo do anything. I don’t understand why people don’t understand the truth about this. |
