Spin off the Tupperware thread.
When is the last time you went to a home sales party (Tupperware, Mary Kay cosmetics, Pampered Chef, Home Interiors, Princess House Crystal, Essential oils, etc...)? Do you remember what company it was?
I think the last one I attended was in the early 1990's. It was either Pampered Chef or Home Interiors. I stopped going to them, because I could buy similar merchandise for much less money, at Wal Mart, Target, and now closed KMart.

It’s been at least 15 years I think. Probably Stella and Dot. I’ve also been to pampered Chef, Tupperware, sex toys (lol) and multiple Stella and Dot.

The last home sales party I went was in the 90’s and it was for DOTS. This was before they became Close To My Heart. I was invited to a few others over the years, it somehow always managed to have other plans on that day. lol!

Forever ... but I have bought from Avon and Pampered Chef by catalog within the past 15 years ... which is forever! I also loved Partylite and Scentsy.

The last one I went to was a Lularoe thing in 2018. I was very, very glad when my friends finally got out of their MLM schemes.

I went to a Partylite Candle party about 25 years ago with DH (one of his friends was hosting) and I remember him buying an overpriced candle holder that we really couldn't afford at the time.
And I went to an Usbourne Books party maybe 5 or 6 years ago that DH's boss's wife was hosting - and struggling to find a couple of books to buy because my youngest was really too old for them - we did buy some though.
Those are the only times I've gone to an in-person one.
I've 'attended' online/virtual Pampered Chef parties as a favour to a friend and my sister both of whom were hosting - and I also once hosted as well. I do like the PC stuff I've bought but I don't need anymore and I ended up with stuff I've since donated so hopefully no one else asks me to go to one.

Oh I forgot, I went to a Creative Memories home scrapbooking party in either late 1996 or early 1997. I was shamed by the sales rep, for having contraband (non-Creative memories products), and told it was very bad to use that kind of stuff.

Probably 2010 ish...
I have hosted a few different ones over the years. Mostly Pampered Chef.
I actually kind of enjoyed them. It was never a big sales push from any of my friends, and it was an excuse to get out of the house for the evening and have some hors devours and drinks! LOL
There were some fun ones, and some that were a bit weird.
Most everything is virtual now, and I do buy some Pampered Chef stuff here and there, but my cabinets are FULL! I have a friend that sells Tastefully Simple, and I buy a few things every year. We love the Almond Pound cake mix - nothing has been as good as that one and their beer bread is good too, although very expensive. You can make that from scratch pretty easy, and there is a local business that makes them commercially and those are good too and a little less.
I can't say I miss in-home parties, but I kind of miss that era. I miss all the cute little gift shops that were around that sold cute decor that wasn't so shockingly expensive. They usually had dip and quick bread mixes available too. Always fun to explore little (and big)town shops. If DH went to a farm show, I'd drop him off and go find the cute little stores. Still can find some vintage shops, but damn - they want a lot of $$ for crap I probably already have! LOL Most have the fast-fashion clothing from China at a crazy high price that you can find on Temu or Shein for a fraction of that cost, and it is so poorly made.

Honestly, the last one was probably around 2009 and it was an adult toy party. It was a girl's sleepover party and I was desperate for a night out from the toddlers.
Before that? Early 2000s Tastefully Simple and Pampered Chef.
The last time I bought from an MLM was 2020 during the lockdown. I felt bad for a couple of people trying to make some money, but soon after that, I made the moral decision that I would no longer buy from any MLM ever again.

OMG, Princess House. What a blast from the past! When I was in my early 20's a friend sold that stuff...man that was a long time ago. Never went to a party with the others you mentioned OP. Overall, home parties really haven't ever been a part of my and/or my friends' lives.
Anyhow, I'd say the last home party I've gone to would be something scrapbook/card-making related in the very early 2000s. So a good 20+ years ago.

I just bought a Buffalo Bills Scentsy warmer! But it wasn't a home party. The host was the distributor and she had an online party. Well, not really an online party. She posted the catalog and her direct link on FB, and we just order whenever we wanted.
During covid, I attended 2 online parties and hosted an online party for Pampered Chef. That was fun, and I got their air fryer for free! The last home party I went to was probably about 8 years ago for Princess House. Oh, almost forgot...I didn't attend the party, but last year my sister had a Princess House party and I placed an order with her.
I have been a Pampered Chef, PartyLite, Tupperware, Avon, Mary Kay, Creative Memories, Young Living and a couple of vitamin/health MLM distributor. The most lucrative ones were PartyLite and Pampered Chef. Avon, I had a few customers, but was mostly buying for myself. Pretty much the same with all of them. I just wanted the kits at a lower price. LOL!

Twenty years or so, and it would have been a Creative Memories or Stampin' Up party.
I'm so glad most MLMs have subsided.
ETA: I spoke too soon! Just got an invitation from SIL to an online Tastefully Simple party. 😂

Wow, I can't remember the last party I went to. I do remember Creative Memories was what got me into scrapping my wedding pics so that was probably 1999ish. My sister would do Stampin' Up parties occasionally back in the day as well.

actually *went* to one, I can't even remember... *purchased* something from an online one, probably last year some time from our friend Dennis, who is a Pampered Chef consultant. (he's basically a consultant to feed his addiction for buying the stuff, lol.) We have a set of Pampered Chef knives + knife block that we like a lot, a few more kitchen gadgets, and we finally just bought a pizza stone.

Stampin' Up! The only true sales party I went to was about 2007. The consultant mentioned that she had a card making group and I joined that. We met every month at her home to make 3 cards. Each month was a different members turn to host. The host brought the snacks and got the rewards from our orders. We had to commit to a minimum order each month which was less than $20 to start and after a few people dropped out got to be about $25 or so. It was fun and lasted 2 or 3 years.
I do not go to parties unless it is something I'm really interested in. The only exception I've made in the last 20 years or more was for a really good customer of mine. I purchased bedding and never liked it but it was a small price to pay for all the work I had done on her house.

I have only been to one—it was a Stampin’ Up party in probably 2003 or so. At the time, I don’t think you could order directly online, but I found a local consultant; she invited me to a party where I knew no one. I basically just wanted to order and get out of there, but I had to make nice . I think after that she agreed to just send me a catalog and let me email her my order.

I used to go to tons of home parties. I was a Navy wife living in military housing. Someone was always having a party for some company.
I just bought Pampered Chef this week because my niece was hosting an online party. I bought a stone bar pan. I have a couple of them at my apartment that I use all the time. I bought this one to keep at my boyfriend's house.

As a child I remember accompanying my mama to parties like Tupperware and something about “waterless cookware.” As an adult I went to a ton of parties for Longaberger baskets, PartyLite, Lia Sophia, Southern Living at Home, Pampered Chef, and others I’m forgetting. The last ones I can think of that I attended were for Noonday and Norwex. I’ve generally gone to support friends and then buy a little something to be nice. It would suit me to never be invited again!

I hosted Princess House, Tupperware, Pampered Chef and Longaberger Basket parties back in the day. I tried to invite different friends so as to not always hit the same people. Honestly, I made out like a bandit with the points I got from those parties. Dh's niece signed up to be a PC consultant so I got so much free stuff! I outfitted my entire pantry from the Tupperware one and got a set of pots/pans from Princess House. And I have tons of Longaberger baskets. So, I definitely reaped the benefits of those parties.

I have ordered online for a Papered Chef. No home party. The last home party was for a jewelry party (ugh) and everyone loved the stuff, so they signed up to have a party. I think I went to 2 or 3 of them and the jewelry was guaranteed to last a lifetime. Company shut down about 5 years later. Everyone at work had the same jewelry and it was so very sad. Something maybe Sophia?
I also went to a "pajama party" and that one was the most fun. Might have been the last one.

In person? It’s probably been close to 25 years. I went to a pampered chef party as a favor to my daughter because it was another hockey mom. I do love the handful of items I bought that night and still have all of them.
I’ve never participated in an online “party”.
There are a lot MLMs in the area I live in. We have a lot of fall craft shows. Almost all of them allow MLMs. Tastefully Simple, Tupperware, Origami Owl, etc. sometimes it seems like 30% of the booths are MLM’. I feel sorry for the handcrafted vendors. People flock to the MLM‘s and spend a lot of money at those booths. I’m not going to support them if they’re coming to a craft fair.

I've never been to a Pampered Chef party, but, to support a friend who was dealing with a major personal issue, I did buy a few things from her "party" online, and I've actually been super impressed with the quality of what I bought. I got a little roasting pan that is what I use for brussels sprouts, and I got a couple of nonstick brownie pans that make individual brownies, and I've been thrilled not to have to clean up chocolate crumbs all over the kitchen from the raccoons in human form who live in my house and absolute ravage a traditional pan of brownies. I also got a set of plastic nesting measuring cups that have been awesome. I don't particularly like the sales-party format of the business and it's not cheap, but I am going to admit that I actually like the products and would probably buy more if I needed things (I don't right now).

It's been many, many years. The only ones we were really into were Home Interiors. I had that crap all over my house in the late 80s/early 90s. We always served fuzzy navels and the more we drank, the more we ordered. Our consultant loved us. I have been invited to a few others over the years but I always decline the invitation.

DD was a Mary Kay rep for about 5 minutes as a college student, about 10 years ago. She held a party at our house with 3 guests. Their orders that day were all she ever sold.
At least 25 years ago, attended a couples party where a cookware rep gave a presentation. It was all a bunch of high pressure nonsense, but I had a hard time saying no because the guy really resembled the pastor from my childhood church that I adored.
