It really is. It sounds like they need more employees or some automation with raised wages for the hours worked. No one should have to work 100 hours a week. I know they don’t want automation but you would think there could be some compromise along with higher wages to offset things. I think it's easy to get that because of how a lot of their shifts are. 8 hours on, 8 off, 8 on. So you could easily pull 16 hr days. I heard from a few on TT that a lot want the overtime and gladly take it. ‘Gladly’ take it? Well if your salary is 80-100k WITH working 80-100 hours per week that means your base pay sucks too much to live on and you *need* the over time to survive. I’m not sure I’d use the word gladly if you’re basically forced by necessity to require overtime.

That is a crippling physical job to do for 100 hrs a week. Hope the hell the union has a fantastic early retirement plan, geez.

Not sure why you are coming at me when I am just repeating what they said. Their words, not mine.

It’s weird that it says they only make 80-100k. My husband lived in Baltimore in the early 90’s and said that back then they made well over that so 30 years ago. He is wondering if that isn’t the base pay for those just starting and without overtime. I think they should make a good wage. Yes it doesn’t take a college education but it is hard on the body and dangerous which is part of the reason to automate and bring in AI.
