DH loves black raspberry jam. It is difficult to find, I usually have to go to a particular store to get it. He will be disappointed that it is out of stock now. As a substitute, see if you can find a jar of Bonne Maman Raspberry Preserves. From France and fantastic! HEB carries it if you have one near you.

I have three giant jars of them! I really like the antique ones. Now I want ( need ? ) a jar of buttons. Preferably antique ones. I got some of them from my mom who used to cut them off of old clothes before using them as rags. She kept them in a little green box. I got more when my BFF was helping her dad clear out her late mom’s craft stash. I keep them in a big clear jar. I have another jar with contemporary buttons that are normal sized and another jar of only big coat sized buttons. Apparently I have a thing for buttons, LOL. And ribbon. But we’re not gonna go there. 🤣

my Mom's buttons were never in an actual jar-- she kept them in an old, beat up plastic tub from rainbow sherbet. (I have it now, and I'm keeping them in the plastic sherbet tub! ) What I would *LOVE* to have is a jar of is my Grandma's homemade salve- I remember it being in her kitchen cabinet when I was a kid, and it was the best for using on scrapes or cuts. (it was probably her mother's recipe, or a great-aunt's, or something...) No one has been able to figure out the recipe, although we've looked for it. We never could figure out what ingredients were—beeswax and lanolin, I think, but there had to be other herbs, etc. in it. It was the BEST stuff- better than Neosporin ever could be.

Peanut butter. I fancied some on my toast this morning.
Shame it's not available in Ireland.
Do you have a favorite peanut butter brand?

Patience. I’m on holiday with my elderly Mum in law…she’s lovely but I’m done with all the bodily noises, whether it chewing… or…😳 When I was moving my mom this summer, I nearly pushed her 88 year old ass out of the car for chewing gum. We weren't allowed to have gum as kids, so somehow my mom chewing gum like it was cow cud was pissing me off.

Not going to follow directions! I NEED a jar of my mom's homemade spaghetti sauce! I could never replicate it. I've come close, but something is always off a little. I've helped her make it a few times, but I guess I never paid too much attention to all the ingredients she used.
To those who still have their mom with them...pay attention when she's preparing your favorite meal.

I just need a jar. An empty jar. I wouldn't mind emptying one, jam or lemon curd, or a sauce of some kind, as long as it is the correct size. Actually, I need many much jars.
Yesterday, I was making some refrigerator pickles (bread and butter) and didn't have any wide mouth jars. I used one narrow mouth quart and a spaghetti sauce jar so I could give that one away.
Nor did I have a jar the correct size for candied jalapeños or homemade hot sauce.
On Saturday, I ended up putting my bacon jalapeño jam in a Rubbermaid container because I didn't have the right size jar.
I seem to have quart and pint jars, none wide mouth. I need smaller jars! But not too small. I want them juuussst right.

My Mom’s homemade jam or jelly. Or her piccalilli…I didn’t eat it much but would love some now. This is the season for it with all of the green tomatoes.

ROFL that the peas got into heated arguments !!! I can't say I *NEED* it, but I would kill for a jar of black raspberry (NOT blackberry) no-sugar-added preserves. Smucker's and Polaner's were delicious, but don't currently exist. Google tells me it's because there's a shortage of black raspberries. Went to MANY websites, and it's hard to find any WITHOUT that damn high fructose corn syrup. The Smucker's "Simply" brand was just berries, water, etc. but no added crap. Check out Chia Smash. I get mine from Thrive Market, but I'm sure it's at Whole Foods and/or Spouts or something. It's fruit, chia seeds, dates and lemon juice. It's really a great jam alternative, low-er on the glycemic side and no crap.

A jar of regular Borscht. Since the pandemic all the stores seem to have is low sodium or low calorie. Just absolutely not the same.

I also used most of my remaining anchovies on the same pizza, so I guess I need a jar of anchovies! Anchovies on pizza? ? !!! We can be friends! I don't know anyone else who likes anchovies. Just me. My dad did, so back when we ordered pizza he and I would get one, then my mother would get her own small one. She said even if we got anchovies on only half she could still taste them. She said the juice swam over to her side. Yay for anchovies! My dad also loves anchovies on pizza. Whenever my MIL makes homemade pizzas, she always buys me a little jar of anchovies so I can put them on my pizza, because nobody else likes them.

Hi ok we are now a Costco-sized, really gross jar of pickled herring heavier. Omg I am nauseous thinking about it. He thinks we have room for that size in the house. Omg lolololol. He is very happy with his purchase after years of being absent.

I WANT a jar of spiced crabapples the way my DMIL used to make them. Sadly, although I have many of her recipes I don't have that one. I wouldn't be preserving them in jars, but if I had her recipe, I could cook up some crabapples just to keep in the fridge until they were gone.

They had the stems on, and you basically ate the apple off the inner core, which was also intact. I remember them being reddish? But Oh. So. Good.

Not a jar but a can or Skyline Cincinnati Chili. It's very expensive on Amazon and I am craving it. If you ever get desperate I can mail you a couple of cans.

Dh thought he didn't like them, but I started with an ever so tiny amount, and continued to add more. Then at a pizza place I accidentally on purpose had them add anchovy. Dh loved it. 😁 When is our pizza party monklady123 and AussieMeg ? And, can I recommend we have said party at AussieMeg's because well, Australia!
