Has anyone stayed there?? In December a group of us are going to Vegas for a concert and other fun things.
I have never been so I have absolutely no idea what is good or not. My daughter’s boyfriend has suggested we stay at Circus circus. He’s on a budget and dh and I could afford more but we all want to stay in the same hotel.
It doesn’t have to be fancy but it does have to be clean!!
Any all all suggestions are welcomed!!!

NO!!! It is baaaad!!! If you want something reasonably priced stay at Treasure Island or the Luxor ... *Check out on Facebook and Youtube these vloggers for hotel reviews: Norma Geli Jacobs Life In Vegas Travel Ruby (her hotel and buffet reviews - not gambling) - she ranks CC as the second worst hotel to stay in ... rooms are dated and not clean and it is full of kids and sketchy people.

Don't stay at Circus Circus. You will be miserable. Try Treasure Island or get a bit off the strip.

Ummm, no. Just no. It was bad 20 years ago. There are a lot of places you can stay that would be inexpensive. It also costs a lot more to travel to the nicer places you want to see because Circus Circus is kind of out there by itself. The was God intended. If you go online and start looking a flights (whether you need one or not), hotel specials will start showing up for you online.

Don’t stay there. If I were looking for a less expensive place I would stay at the Flamingo - great location. I would also consider NYNY or the Park MGM.

I’ll be another NO vote. Stay elsewhere, and not the Excalibur either. Last time we stayed at the Excalibur, the rooms were dark with heavy furniture to match their castle theme.

Nope. Just nope.
We stayed at the Luxor. It was nicer but even the non-smoking floors reeked of smoke. Not sure I'd recommend it either.

Nope. We were in Vegas this summer for my daughter's dance and we were at Resorts World (which is beautiful...and expensive without an event group rate) and we walked over to Circus Circus for something to do. Clean is the opposite of how I would describe it. It may have been cool in the heyday but gave a very rundown, ick vibe.

Really nice place and would like to stay there once. I hope they make it. I heard they aren’t doing too well.

Dh and I stayed there in 2000 and it was clean and nice. We knew we'd only need the room to sleep so we went crap to spend money elsewhere.
Now? It's a hell hole. Don't stay there

Where's the concert at? If we knew a location we probably can recommend a better place to stay.

Let me figure out where the concert is and I’ll post again soon!!!
Thank you for steering us clear of the flea bag hotel!!! 😂

The concert is at the Allegiant Stadium. It’s Chris Stapleton, George Strait, and Little Big Town! I’m so excited. We are also going to a hockey game and some kind of rodeo!

Years ago we stayed at Tuscany Suites, just a few steps off the strip but rooms were huge and clean. But, again, it's been years. Worth checking reviews though.

Allegiant Stadium is just off the strip, so you will probably need to take a vehicle to get there, so hotel location doesn’t matter too much. The hockey game is probably at T-Mobile arena, which is on the strip. Closest hotel is New York New York. There are a lot of hotels right at that intersection. But don’t stay at Excalibur.

Absolutely not. Do not stay there. We did one night and left. There were dirty panties in our safe and unidentified dried substances on the wall.
No amount if savings makes that loud and disgusting place worth it.

I've been to that concert and it's soooooo good! If I were you, I would look at NYNY --- it has an indoor covered walkway to the Tmobile Arena so you wont have to drive, and should be very easy to get a taxi to Alegiant Stadium. The Rodeo you are going to is probably the NFR and thats at the convention center and all the hotels near that will already be sold out Im guessing. I would look at Expedia and Priceline for the best prices at NYNY. It will be clean and safe.

My first and last visit was in 1969 when I was 4 years old. I only remember the trapeze act and the hot dog I ate. 😊

I would stay at the Park MGM. It is right next to the hockey arena. We stayed there when it was the Monte Carlo. There is a really good brewery close by and Eataly is part of the resort.

Uh no. It's bad. Treasure Island is usually pretty cheap and the rooms are fine, just don't eat there, food is just plain bad. Check Vegas dot com for your dates and see what comes up.

Book directly through whatever hotel you choose ... you will be able to get the best deal ... third party sellers seem like a better way to go but they aren't ... Ask questions of the person you speak to ... do they have any promotions running, etc. When you check in ask for an upgrade on your room ... tip after the fact ... people think you need to tip as you are asking but you don't ... if they have rooms available they will give them out. (Always carry cash for tips ... front desk, housekeeping, etc.) * Be prepared for the dreaded resort fees ... these really raise the prices of your rooms!

Another vote for, in this situation, Park MGM. We stayed there in January and it was nice. The location isn't horrible as there is a tram that goes between some of the hotels. Our biggest issue was the traffic right before or after the games (we didn't stay there for that). You can walk across the street to the stadium which would be convenient.
We used to use Hotwire to book rooms in Vegas and almost never had any issues, we'd just pick at least 4 star and usually paid less than the standard rate. That said we stopped being able to do that since many times the hotel ended up being one that starts with a T and the owner doesn't align with our values/morals. When I looked for hotels in January rates were crazy.

Please stay away from it. It is a rat infested dump. We walked into it a couple years ago because I remember staying there as a kid when it was new and much nicer. It was gross!
We stayed at the SLS which was brand new in 2018. It is at the end of the strip but it is the last stop on the monorail so you can get anywhere from there. REALLY nice and quiet and had some awesome restaurants.

Don’t stay there. If I were looking for a less expensive place I would stay at the Flamingo - great location. I would also consider NYNY or the Park MGM. NYNY is made to smell like New York City. Not the good smells either. It is small and cramped as well.
