My sisters old car which was a Nissan Altima. I didn’t have it for long until I got my new (used) car which was a Nissan Sentra.

I also drove a VW, but it was a Rabbit. A 1984 diesel VW Rabbit. She was my 17th birthday present after I conceded to learning how to drive a stick shift. She was tan and my dad put a decal across the top of the windshield that looked like eyes with eyelashes, lol. I honestly didn't know he did it. I thought the previous owner had done it. I didn't find out it was him until a few years ago.

A 4 door Suzuki Swift. Don't remember the year, but it was a sedan, not a hatchback. It was the most basic of little cars. An automatic, but with no power steering. I loathed parallel parking because of that.

A forest green 1969 Volvo (in the late 80s). Very boxy sedan that was built like a tank. I developed great arm muscles because it had no power steering.
The speedometer was like a horizontal thermometer. Had an orange plastic arrow that you could move along an elastic band that ran below it to set your "cruise control!"

1987 Toyota Celica. It as a manual and I didn't know how to drive one. DH (then boyfriend) picked it up and dropped it off at my work (I was waiting tables). I had to drive it home.

1987 Chevy Nova. I think I got it as a freshman or sophomore in college around 1990. In high school, I either borrowed my mom's car or paid my friend's gas money to get to school

I got a 1967 Ford Mustang I bought from a family friend right before HS graduation.
Let's see if I can remember my other cars!
1979 Camaro Berlinetta I bought right after college. Bonus, it made my dad mad. 1988 Chevy Corsica - the engine blew at 100k miles, so I replaced it sooner than I would have 1993 Chevy Corsica - bought used, shared it with my own teens 2001 Chevy Malibu - DH insisted I replace it, because it had 160K miles. My niece, then brother drove it another 100K miles 2013 Ford Edge - I still have it, grandson drives it 2018 Chevy Tahoe - I started driving it after DH passed. I'll drive it until I can't get up into it any longer
A total of 7 cars in 48 years. I tend to drive my cars a good long time.

Mine was a VW Bug, too! I have always said that everyone should learn to drive on a stick; that way you can drive almost anything.

1985 Dodge Diplomat. It was a wreck rebuild, that we later found out was a police car. It had blood stains on the steering column.
That thing would fly! I got a speeding ticket going 140.🤣

I really didn't drive a lot, so I would drive my mom's Altima.
The first car in my name was a 2013 Nissan Sentra. We drove it until last fall when it stalled on DH on his way to work. They wanted $7k for a new transmission. We said no thanks since it had some other repairs in the year before that. We got $500 from the dealer since we didn't buy from them.
We now drive a 2020 Subaru Impreza and LOVE it.

It was a Nissan Altima. It was 2 years old when I bought it and had previously been a car rental. Sadly the car broke down a lot. It would just stall on me and they could never figure out what was wrong. After putting in money to fix it multiple times, I gave up and bought a new car.

A 1987 Plymouth Turismo that I bought when I was 18 for $2,200. One of my very good friends had the Dodge version same color but hers was a stick.

I didn’t own a car until I got married. Then I got a silver 1976? Ford Pinto. Then I found out what a huge deathtrap it was, and there I was hauling around my baby daughter in it. I couldn’t get rid of it fast enough. Traded the Pinto in and bought a used 1970 blue Pontiac Firebird. (I consider that my first car and the Pinto a bad memory.) Eventually traded blue Firebird for a newer white Firebird with a larger engine. Drove it for years and years. My DH kept driving mine, so he got a black Firebird within a year.

My very first car was a white Mazda Z3. Was a beauty! Crapped out in the first month! LOL! Next was a green Ford Mustang. Not the cool Mustangs from the '50s or '60s. But was a good car until I loaned it to my brother. Went downhill from there. Never loan out your car!

1983 Buick Regal. It became mine in 1991 and I drove it until 1999. It was a great first car - it could hold me and all my friends. And some of their friends. It was a tank (and the color of a tank) and well built, comfortable, and full of features for its day. My grandmother bought it for me, and she wanted me surrounded by metal.

A 1977 Chevy Nova, when I was a junior in high school in 1987. My high school BFF was the first in our friend group to get a car and it was also a Chevy Nova, probably the same year as yours, in avocado green. So many good memories in that car. My friend HATED it, but we all loved it. It would have weird quirks where one of us would have to put our finger on some engine part for it to start. I hope your memories were just as good.

New Red Toyota Tercel hatchback. I was 22 and we paid for it with wedding gift $. This is as also my first car. But it was very used. I got it in 1989 and I think the car was an 81.

I learned to drive on a 1958 GMC suburban truck. 4 on the floor, unsynchronized gears, truck starter, had built in sanders for winter driving. lots of fun!! took driving test on 1968 suburban.. nothing power at all.. that was the family car.
my parents bought me a 1970 ford torino from the salesman down the street... drove that thing across the country and back.
owned a vw bug at one point. did not like it much.

I don't drive but we still have DH's first car from 1989- 1981 Ford Mustang (currently a future project to restore).
After that?
Ford Thunderbird when he was in Germany in the early 90s (his Mustang stayed stateside)
he traded that for a 1993 Mustang in about 1996 maybe and drove it until it was totalled in about 2002
we were given (by FIL) an old conversion van then and traded that a year later for an older Dodge Caravan
traded the Caravan in on a 1-yr old Town and Country in 2005
added a pickup truck that was FILs around the same time (1996 S-10)
added a 2012 Mini Cooper in 2014
traded the Town and Country in on a 2014 Ford Flex in early 2017
That's it.

Difficult for me to answer. I never had a car in my name, until I was 27. Prior to that the car was in husband's name. When I filed for divorce, the loan was in my name so I got the title put in my name.

I would be careful with this question since it is often used as a password reminder. Maybe I'm over cautious.. enjoy the post though.
I did have a Bug though... I LOVED it.. it didn't have any heat/defrost/radio.. I had a boom box for a radio, a towel for defrost and a blanket to cover up in the cold. His name was Burt the Bug. I LOVED it.

1973 Chevy Impala. My dad owned a salvage yard so all my vehicles were damaged and he fixed them up.
