We had to put Amelia down in December. December 1st. Jeremy's daughter’s friend was having to re-home Ellie just two weeks later. I wasn't quite ready for another dog, but Jeremy was insistent. I have never seen him so upset as when Amelia died. She was his girl. We had an old dog who was always laid back anyway. And now we have a very young dog who is super rambunctious. She's playful. So much energy. But good temperament. She's a good dog. We had to have our little Tucker put down in January due to cancer in his leg. It was too much to take out without amputating his leg and at nearly 12 years we decided he was getting too old for that kind of surgery. ¿Well we decided that that was it - no more dogs it is just too heartbreaking loosing them. fast forward to May and we took possession of little Toby who at just 6 months was just a tiny bundle of joy. He is adventurous, loves the water, brings in all types of treasures from the garden bits of bark, twigs and anything else he wants and can carry through the doggy door. Such a difference to having an old dog who just liked being with us and not being very active. We would not be without him now though.
