Hi everyone! I'm feeling a bit better today but not 100% ... I really need to snap out of this funk ... it will happen I know that ... I might have a date tonight so that will help ... I'll let you know tomorrow! My day will probably be spent playing on the laptop and watching Netflix and Youtube ... I became a Premium member because I watch so much so now no commercials! There is a documentary on the Menendez brothers story coming out this week on Netflix (different from the series on now) ... I'm looking forward to it! This is what I posted on Facebook today because I lead an exciting life! How is everyone feeling? Same as me or better? How is kitty in your yard scrapmaven? Safe travels to Linda and I hope sueg is having a fabulous time! How is your dh **GypsyGirl**? How is your back The Birdhouse Lady? Dinner tonight will depend on whether I have a date or not ... if not, it will be cabbage rolls What are your plans today? What is on your menu tonight? Have a great Saturday everybody!

I hope you snap out of it leannec! I was super close to having a good day yesterday. It helped that I went walking at lunch with a friend and then Jeremy took me out last night to see the pumpkins. It was a good time. The weather was great. What's not to love about spiced apple wine and cinnamon donuts? This morning I got up and had coffee and then made my way over to the market for groceries. Jeremy also stepped out for groceries at the same time. So we can just stay home now. Chloe sent me a message yesterday saying she was craving my pumpkin muffins. Jeremy's kids and Kylon are coming tomorrow and they like pumpkin muffins too. So I made a batch. And we will decorate sugar cookies tomorrow so I will make a batch of those today too. Other than that? Laundry. And I'm trying to get up the urgency to do some crafting. I'll eat stir fry again tonight.

Happy Saturday! I'm cleaning this morning, finishing what I started yesterday by working on the bathrooms. I bought an electric scrubber and I've been very excited to try it and it works well. You know you're an adult when you're excited about a scrubber. I think I'm going to hire a cleaner but of course, the house needs to be cleaned in anticipation. This afternoon, I need to pick up my grocery order and my wine order but I got a notice that my grocery order isn't ready on time so I figured I'd get some cleaning done so I can enjoy the afternoon. I'll play some Epic Mickey and binge some shows. Good luck on your date leannec! Can't wait to hear about it! Dinner tonight is up in the air. We'll see what I feel like later.

Tearisci that is a sign of a grownup. 😂 I can't say I'd get excited about a scrubber but I sure was excited to finally buy an immersion blender. Same difference. 😂

Good morning. leannec , I hope that you're at the end of this depression and will feel much better as the day goes on. It takes away far too much good stuff. Is your date w/the guy you met and mentioned yesterday? If you go have a great time. jeremysgirl , my mom made a pumpkin bread that everyone loved. I'll bet your muffins are delicious. Enjoy your today! Kitty is acting strange. She's popping in and out of the yard, but we're not seeing her all day as we're used to. I'm not sure if she's nesting somewhere or if she's just dissed us. I watched her yesterday and her low hanging fruit is hanging even lower. I left messages for rescues, but everyone is overfull. I'm going to get into my game today. I'm really stuck on one segment and it's driving me nuts. I'm not dexterous and certain things are really tough. I need ods to come over and finish this for me. He played the old version of this game years ago. Dinner is rechauffe. I still have my cold. Though it's not bad, it's still here.
Tearisci , a hotel that dh and I stay at has scrub Mommy. You would think I won the lottery, because I was so excited to try it. You are not alone. scrappintoee , I read what you wrote to me on yesterday's thread and I want to thank you. You're such an empathetic pea. ((((HUGS)))). Have a happy, relaxing and fun day, everyone.

Seriously I don't know how you're doing it with the kitty scrapmaven. I'd be a nervous wreck about her. I know that yes animals are resourceful but it's so hard to separate my experience with these dependent furry friends of mine to know that chances are the kitty will be ok when she gives birth. ❤️

scrapmaven What game are you playing these days? Did you ever get Epic Mickey? My exH used to beat hard levels for me and that is really one of the only things I miss about being married!

Good Morning!
We've been to a soccer game already. One more to go this afternoon. We stopped by the farmers market. I needed some honey and I bought myself a bouquet of flowers. Then it was on to the grocery store. It wasn't nearly as busy as I expected so that was a plus.
I've got laundry going and I am getting ready to sit down and watch some college football. Not going to spend too much time inside today. It is a beautiful fall day. Going to go out and enjoy it because we won't have many more days like this.
I am going to grab some pork chops and corn out of the freezer for dinner tonight!
I hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday!

Tearisci, I'm on fighting the Clocktower boss on Epic Mickey. It's really not complicated, but it's a tough level. It's good to know that your ex could do one thing right. I'm still salty about what he did to you. You're a good person and deserve the best. jeremysgirl, Since this is year 3 of strays having kittens in my yard I guess I'm getting used to it. Still, I hate to see more feral cats in my neighborhood. Kitties need loving forever homes and not backyards. She seems healthy. Since she won't let me near her it's harder to help her.

leannec I sub to YouTube premium too and watch it for hours everyday. I love it. I watch ASMR all day and night sometimes. Today I need to get out of the house. My dad has another funeral to go to today so I can go at 11. Dexter is all better and is doing great. I am so happy. He was a total baby last night. If your are a cat person he was the equivalent of making biscuits cuddled up. So sweet. I hope those who need to feel better soon start to feel relief.

cadoodlebug you had that in your freezer? I'm always surprised by what others have in their freezers. I'm not a big freezer person because I tend to forget about what I put in there.

He prefers hotels over camping! leannec I sub to YouTube premium too and watch it for hours everyday. I love it. I watch ASMR all day and night sometimes. ASMR has totally sucked me in ... emvy and xokatie are two sisters who do the best hair play and back tracing and back scratching videos ... I watch them for hours!

Hi friends! DH and I returned from a trip to visit his dad and my folks this past week last evening and I picked up Miss Bess from the cattery this morning. DH is wondering if we should consider moving back up that way to help his dad out a bit more. He is mostly independent, but could definitely use some help in some areas. He does have a house cleaner who comes over every other week. We also went over to see my grandma. She definitely has some dementia going on, which is tough to see, but at 88, I'm glad to have her still. Tonight's dinner will be steak salads.

I was going to go for a bike ride this morning however the rain was threatening...instead I went for a three mile walk....My walking buddy had bunion surgery so she is out of commission for MANY weeks/ months...Walking alone is much faster with no one to talk to...I will be glad to have her back and pain free! . Dinner will be grilled rib eyes...from the freezer!!! Baked potato's and either a side salad or roasted asparagus!!

Happy Saturday everyone!!! It's a hot one today and tomorrow. I think we are promised fall starting Monday. So since I need to be inside, I military cleaned the bathrooms this morning. Like broke a sweat clean. I love the playlist for the day. Jason Mraz, Journey, theme from Rocky, Korn, Muse, etc. It's all over but very UP music. So indoors is a laundry day. But I am also decorating the front porch. It's Halloween time and I'm all for it!!
I haven't thought about dinner. I have some chicken sausages and may bake those up. DH has been jonesing for some hot dogs, so tonight may be that night.
I'll be back to catch up after I have to call it outside. Y'all have a great Saturday!

I don’t have anything exciting to report that I haven't already said. Dinner cruise on the Bay with old retired cops tonight. DD is at the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in San Francisco today. We’ll pick her up on our way home. Still waiting for my life to calm down.

cadoodlebug you had that in your freezer? I'm always surprised by what others have in their freezers. I'm not a big freezer person because I tend to forget about what I put in there. Yes! When I make Tomatillo Pork, I use a 5-lb pork shoulder and it makes enough for about 3-4 dinners and lunches the next day. I freeze portions using my Foodsaver so they lay flat. I don't have a stand-alone freezer just the bottom of my French door refrigerator. Right now I have ground beef, chicken thighs/breasts, pork chops, spaghetti sauce, a pork shoulder and a tri-tip roast in the freezer. Oh, and several packets of rotisserie chicken. I always have that for making Chinese Chicken Salad or Chicken Noodle soup.

DH and I went for a bike ride along the waterfront this morning. We rode 17 km which is a short ride for us. We stopped at my SIL’s apt building and chatted to her from the balcony. She came for lunch at the fry truck with us and then we stopped for ice cream on the way home.
I finally started doing the laundry from my vacation. I was pretty unmotivated to do that but figured no one else was going to do it.
My mom was coming over this afternoon but she just found out one of her good friends has throat cancer. She’s sitting at the hospital with her until her family arrives.
Today is a balmy 23 degrees and sunny but the weather is turning chilly next week with highs in the low teens. Time for sweaters to come out.
Supper will be something grilled - out of the freezer.

Hi everyone, we are having a lovely time in Venice, despite starting off with some awful weather. It rained nearly all the way here on Thursday and that, combined with roadworks meant it took us nearly 2 hours longer to get here than it should have. Yesterday we had a walking tour in the morning and a guided tour of San Marco Basilica and museum after lunch. Today we wandered around in the morning and then did a boat trip with a guide out to Murano and Burano islands, where we saw a glass blowing demonstration and women working on traditional lacework. The food has been wonderful - we are just home from dinner out where we had a chateaubriand with vegetables. The meat was perfectly cooked and I am now feeling quite stuffed. Hopefully I can post some pictures tomorrow. My phone hasn’t synched with my iPad yet today sadly.

ok.. today, ran to the store first thing for milk for my coffee. opening mail and packages. going across the street to see the house for sale.. they finally finished it after 4 years. 3 beds, 4.5 bath, 2 car garage postcard backyard.. $3 million. interesting to see if they get it. we are higher up and have a better view..
got thai last night when I got into town, so leftovers tonight..
skip if you don't have time.. the saga of driving from idaho.. left the house at 5:50 am.. 34 degrees out. after driving an hour south, just started to see the light of dawn..nothing happened til I was in western nevada. first, east of winnemucca, there was a. median fire (about 30 ft strip between east and west lanes of freeway.). it was almost out when I got there, but lots of trucks, police, fire trucks, etc. then east of fernley.. I almost hit a dog running around the freeway at 80 mph. there was a lady in a truck on side of road, but didn't know if it was her dog or not. I called it in to 911. the speed limit was 80 mph.
then I was crawling in 10 mph traffic down the western slope of the sierras through construction zone. lots of trucks, lots of traffic. someone bumped me from behind. I pulled over, the guy behind me pulled over, but the person who caused it didn't. there wasn't a stratch or any sign of anything happening to my car.. about 10-15 min later, I started to hear a strange sound from the front of my car.. intermittent, no indicators of problems.. so I pulled off on a small exit and looked all around. nothing. called my husband, and he said auburn had a subaru dealership. he called them and they said they would look.. so I drove slowly sort of down there.. dh giving me directions over the phone.. and I arrived 4:30 on a friday. They could not have been nicer people. they put it up on a lift.. and it turns out that the lugg nuts on my front driver side wheel were loose.. and damaging the wheel a bit.
they tightened everything up.. checked out everything and didn't even charge me!!!!! I am going to do the best google review and write a letter. before I left, I made an appt at my local dealership--who were the last to rotate the tires 1400 miles earlier. so after lots of stress and fun.. I got home about 7:30 pm. I mostly wanted to know if it was a minor thing or major.. I could have stayed in auburn but was so relieved to pull up to my own house.
