I finished my tree skirt this afternoon. Now just the angel to go! I love that!!! You are quite the talented gal!!! Are those bells? Does your cat mess with them? I am quite certain the tree skirt will not survive to see another holiday season. We have not gotten our tree yet but one cat likes to lay on the kirt under the tree. And then other is bound to view those bells as balls.😂 Thank you though.

Love the wintry colours to your skirt, jeremysgirl. I wonder if it will spend the rest of the year as the cats' blanket if they claim it this Christmas.

I had a lovely morning yesterday listening to Neil Diamond and cutting out some projects bags (never let it be said I don't know how to party!!) I plan to sew them together tomorrow.
We're still waiting to move, the whole process has been a nightmare

GIRLS! After years of admiring all of your gorgeous crafty creations here, I'm going to try and make something myself. I have been looking for a dress to wear on Christmas Day, but I haven't been able to find the style I want in a pattern I like. So I thought I'd try making one. Now keep in mind, I haven't made myself a garment since before my son was born, and he turned 20 in September. So this could be disastrous! I picked out the fabric I wanted to use a few months ago. But when I got to the shop yesterday, I saw all the Christmas fabric was on sale for $10 per metre. I decided to make myself a Christmas print dress, and if it is a failure, at least I won't have wasted too much money on nice fabric. This can be my practice run. This is the fabric I bought: The dress is an off-the-shoulder dress, with elastic around the top and waist, and no zips or button holes - very simple! I plan to use the yellow fabric for the dress, because it's nice and summery. I couldn't resist the navy koala fabric as well - it's sparkly! - but there wasn't enough of it on the roll to make the dress, so I will need to find something else to make with it. Wish me luck! Love the fabrics - once you sit to sew it will come back to you!
