Or is it just me? One down, six to go! 😏 One down, six what to go...? Do you mean you put up seven trees? ? lol. I would if I had the space. Yes, almost Christmas tree time. I'm leaving Halloween up until Monday when my ds will leave to drive back to Georgia. Then down it comes. I *might* wait a week or so and put up some generic fall decorations. Or I might not.

LOL! I don't have the energy or decorations to do 7 trees!
We get a real tree, so ours does not go up until about 2 weeks before Christmas.

It's almost Christmas tree time for us. We put them up Thanksgiving or the day after. We have 2 trees. If I put out anymore, my husband would revolt. He's the one that has to carry them out of storage and put them together.

I hope Gen meant weeks to go.
Where do bad rainbows go? To prism, it’s a light sentence, but it gives them time to reflect.

I'm eager to get Christmas going in my house! By the time Thanksgiving comes, I'm on the screaming downhill rollercoaster of extra church services, holiday performances at my school, watching my own kids' performances, etc. I just love the holiday season, and I'm perfectly fine with it starting on November 1!

I hate even putting up one tree lol. I'm taking down Halloween decorations this weekend and putting up fall/Thanksgiving. No Christmas will be out here until it's well into December.

I do mean seven trees!
I normally start mid-November, and usually wait to put the biggest one up (in my great room) after Thanksgiving. This year, I’m hosting a Christmas party two days later, and I cannot leave it that late or I will be too stressed.
If I spread them out it’s still enjoyable through the last tree, but if I have to rush or feel the pressure of a deadline then it just becomes another chore. 😜

We only put up one full size tree (and multiple very small ones), but the full size tree is always a real tree.
You can't buy a full size tree here this early even if you wanted to. And I'm not interesting in hauling down the ornament bins from the attic twice, so that means the small artificial trees have to wait as well.

I love the idea of 7 trees. I’ve purged and wouldn’t have enough decorations.
Dh & I are in disagreement on the real vs fake. I’m allergic and love the prelit real look ones.
I probably have enough to decorate 3 trees. I might put one up next weekend.
I babysat at my niece’s this week and she had her tree decorated for Halloween.

When we moved to the woods 8 years ago I thought I would start having a fresh tree, because I’m literally surrounded by them. I can’t bring myself to do it, though. I love the towering pines around me that are 100+ feet high, and the idea of cutting down a young tree just to stick it in my house for a month just seems so wasteful. I do cut some fresh boughs to tuck around my house, though... you can’t beat that scent!
I have plenty of tree decorations and change up the trees and their colors every year. I don’t do a lot of other decorating, though… mostly the trees are it. 🎄

I will say that I have enough ornaments to decorate multiple full size trees, no problem. Every year there are bins of ornaments that don't even make it downstairs. Every year I say I will go through the ornaments and purge them, and every year I don't get around to it. I should bring the bins down in February, which is the slowest month for us, and do it then.

Not until after Thanksgiving. I do need a new an artificial tree. Anyone have one they love? Balsam Hill. You can order a sampler box of all the different branches (when I did it, it was $20), and then when you buy your tree, that is credited back. They arent cheap, but it is the best tree we have ever had- ours is a flip tree.

No, not until after Thanksgiving here.
And this year I'm going to have to force myself, because I don't even feel like it.

When I worked for the state of Florida, I always put mine up around Veterans' Day, as it was a holiday. If I didn't put up a tree by then, I didn't put one up that year, because I always went home for Thanksgiving and Christmas, so there wasn't a point to having it up at home other than I liked the pretty lights.
I may go out to the storage unit to get the tree out and put it up over the next week or so. I'm not going to grab my ornaments though, as my mom's Alzheimer’s had her claiming all of my ornaments belong to her, leading to a meltdown and/or broken/lost ornaments. I know where some of her ornaments are located though, so I'll put those up. I just need to rearrange the living room to put the tree up. I also need to make sure anything breakable is super secure, as our biggest sheltie loves to lie under the tree. I haven't put up a tree since when got my sheltie in 2022, so I have no idea how she'll do with a tree.

If I had the space, I'd put up multiple trees, but not until the weekend after Thanksgiving. Then they stay up until after New Year's Day and Three Kings Day on Jan 6th. That's just a tradition I've had since I was a child. But you're not alone. I have plenty of friends who are already decorating for Christmas and singing Christmas carols. And that's perfectly fine. Life's to short. Do what makes you happy.
As it is right now, I have two trees - a full size one for our living room and a 4' one that normally goes in the dining room, but we've converted the dining room to a makeshift bedroom for my nephew at the moment, so I may find a place for that one in our bedroom this year. If we ever again become empty-nesters (we currently have DH's brother also living with us), I would love to put a tree of some sort in every room.

My rule: No Christmas decorations until after Thanksgiving. Mine, too. But, I don't do 7 trees. Last year I only did my pencil tree. This year I plan to buy a pre-lit outdoor tree to place in the corner of my screen porch.

I now understand my in-laws who did very little decorating by the time I was in the family.
I am putting up a 4ft. tall table top tree and that is it. The storm door prevents a wreath on the actual door and I do miss having a wreath, but I'm glad that I no longer have to spend hours decorating. Gone are the garlands around the stairs, and on the mantle plus my 18 creche displays around the house. I do have holiday towels which I will put in the downstairs guest bath.
I have cut back on sending cards also. At one time we sent over 100 and now I am sending about 40.
The house around the corner has the entire 2 story home outlined with lights and they were turned on over the weekend.

We get a real tree so it won't go up until at least thanksgiving weekend. However, your post reminds me that I need to get to work. I crocheted all the ornaments for this year's tree. However I need to do the angel topper. I thought it would be fun to have an all crochet tree this year. (I probably should have crocheted a tree skirt. Maybe I still can...if I start it Jeremy's going to kill me.😉)

I have five trees. I think three will go up. It isn't time in this house. I like to do it right after Thanksgiving. I have a lot of Christmas stuff, so it just seems a little over the top (for me) to start so early. I like to enjoy fall (it just hit fall weather here a few weeks ago). I think it also helps that we have several hundred real trees (some massive pine trees) outside out windows and I love them even more than the house trees.
Both of my sons love Christmas and start celebrating November first. Love that for them. They even come help me put up trees.

We put up 3 Christmas trees starting the day after Thanksgiving. Our 8 foot tree is our "traditional" tree, with family ornaments and such. Our 6 foot tree is our travel tree, where we hang ornaments we've purchased on vacations. Our 4 foot tree is my Disney tree, where I hang all of my Disney-related ornaments. We debated cutting back on decorating this year since we won't be home for Christmas but since we're doing "early Christmas" with my younger DD, SIL, MIL and FIL I figured we should decorate as much as usual.

We usually get a read free but we are considering an artificial tree this year. If we go that route I will probably put it up sooner, but if we get a read tree we will put it up the weekend after thanksgiving.

I love your trees, Gennifer! We only put up one tree and it is a very tired, all the original lights have been replaced, I thought it was going to be tossed three years ago because we were moving and then we didn't, beauty. Now it's like a Charlie Brown tree that we can't let go. Maybe I'll buy a new one to transition this one out or just to have a second tree up. Yesterday I was at a local home decor store that is in full holiday mode and came home with a 15' roll of gold glitter rope that will go on a tree this year. I also picked up a Lori Mitchell Santa (cocoa & cookies) to add to my collection. An IKEA Vinterfint wood wall tree came home with us a month or so ago and I've been debating how to use it. First step will be painting it black.
