Our whole family is travelling to Italy in June for nephew/cousin's wedding. DH & I will go to Switzerland just beforehand for the legal ceremony, then to Italy with everyone for the fun wedding.
That comes after our oldest DS's wedding in April. Busy start to the year.

I am really looking forward to Thanksgiving. DS will be home for the weekend with his girlfriend and since he won't be home for Christmas we are planning to do Christmas Saturday. Matching pj's, decorating the tree, big fancy dinner and watch Christmas movies.
I am also going to Grenada in January for 2 weeks. It's my fourth and probably final trip. Time to explore new islands!

I'm looking forward to Hawaii next September with DD, two of her friends and their mothers.
I'm also looking forward to a great season of high school hockey with my grandson.

I don't think we will be doing any traveling in 2025. We have been in a rental since moving to Knoxville and our lease is up in June. Our sole focus right now is finding a house that works for our generational family (MIL, DH, Me, Adult DS). We have had a really hard time finding a house that works for all of us so hopefully 2025 brings us one.
My oldest and his wife just bought their first new car so I'm not sure if they will be coming out next summer - depends on the flight prices.

I'm planning two trips and wherever we find the cheapest airfare will win! The first trip option is 10 days in Scotland. Second trip option is landing in Paris (for Normandy) to spend a few days at the D Day beaches. Then taking a train to Belgium for a few days then on to Germany for a week. It's our own version of a Band of Brothers tour, mixed in with some non-WWII historical sites. We're looking at late May for our target dates.

We are not going to any real trips this year. Maybe a quick stop in Colorado or a tour around Nebraska. We are saving to take our kids to Latvia the summer of 2026. My 2 youngest will be graduating from college and that is our gift to them.
Our youngest son graduates in December with a degree in mechanical engineering and a minor in bio-med engineering. He has 3 interviews lined up.
Our youngest daughter graduates in May.

I signed up for a Crop & Cruise to Alaska in July 2025 with a company that I love for cardmaking. I can't believe I did it, but I really need something to look forward to!
Dh and I have been talking about taking some road trips so I can cross off more of my bucket list to see all 50 US states.

Our family is going to Vegas in less than 3 weeks! We are going to the George Strait, Chris Stapleton, and Little Big Town concert. We are also going to the National Finals Rodeo, a hockey game and Cowboy Christmas. I can't wait!

I've never been!! I had no desire to go either until this trip came up. I think cowboys will be taking over that week, so hopefully not too much weirdness!!!

Game night tonight at my church. Everyone brings board/card/table top games if they have them, we order pizza, people bring desserts, salads, wine. And we play games.

We don't have much planned for next year....but Im sure that will change.
So far, for Thanksgiving we are going to East Texas and then NYE is in Las Vegas. We are looking at taking my Dad to Hawaii in the Spring, but we dont have that set in stone yet. And DH is going to Africa in June. Otherwise, I know we will be at the beach in February and again in September. We haven't decided what beach yet though. Other than that, nothing is planned.

Love seeing all of the plans! Kids and I are going to see my 85 yo mom in Boulder next month. We have a big anniversary 12/31 and will probably plan a trip to Vancouver island (2020 trip that got postponed!) but tbd. My DD graduates college in May so will also do a family trip soon after that before she starts work. Thinking possibly Europe but tbd also. We will definitely plan some extended time in Colorado to get out of the Texas heat!

I'm looking forward to going to Toronto with my sisters next week for the Taylor Swift concert, although I am also a little bit nervous. I have an enhanced ID, which the DMV and google tell me can get me into Canada by land, but I am still a little worried that we will get there and I won't be able to get in. I am also looking forward to seeing my oldest son for Thanksgiving, and seeing my other son and brothers at Christmas. My social life has been lacking and I am also looking forward to getting together with some other basketball parents tomorrow night. I am not sure for your state, but for mine (VT) to use our license to cross the border you need to have an enhanced (like you said) which is different than the real ID. Our enhanced has the star (real Id) and a flag (enhanced) on the upper right corner. I know people who use it a lot and have no issues. I hope you have a great time and easy entry.

We are traveling to Belgium 🇧🇪 where our son is doing a year long study abroad program. We leave just before Christmas. We will spend a few days in Brussels at a really funky AirBnb, then after Christmas we take the train to Kortrijk, where his University is, New Years Eve we take the train to Amsterdam where we will meet friends from London for a few days.
I am SO excited! I have never been to Europe. I am excited to see the Christmas market in Brussels. I am excited to see our friends who we have not seen for 10 years. My boy has been enjoying Belgium SO much and keeping notes on places he wants to take us. I cannot wait to have him play tour guide for us in “his” city. I really, REALLY cannot wait to see my kid who I miss SO much!!

I need some happy thoughts, away from the doom and gloom! I'd love to hear what trips or events you have planned that you are looking forward to. We're going up to Sydney for 5 days in February, for DSO's birthday. There are two couples who we love to travel with, and one couple is definitely coming with us, and the other couple is thinking about it. We will be spending two nights in the Blue Mountains, then two nights in Sydney. I've booked a twilight Harbour Bridge climb on the day of DSO's birthday. February is the last month of summer, and it's likely to be really hot. I can't wait! We have also just booked tickets to the Summersalt music festival in March. (Maybe it should be called Autumnsalt??) Two of our favourite singers / groups are playing there, and the other acts are really good too, so it should be fun. We've gone to this particular festival two out of the last three years. One of our travel buddy couples is going to Singapore / Koh Samui / Vietnam in April. They invited us to join them in Vietnam. We have been dying to get back to Vietnam, but unless we have an unexpected windfall, I don't think that we will be able to join them this time around. $$$ So tell me, what are you looking forward to? After much struggle with LATAM Airlines website we are coming to Australia at the end of March. WOOHOO!! The plan is to stay at least 90 days and then head to NZ for 2 months. We are currently in Panama having a good time but, I'm super excited for our trip to Colombia next month.

What a fun thread!
We just got home from a short cruise and for the first time in I can't remember when we have no trips booked. That makes me twitchy. I'm looking at a Spain/Portugal cruise and we will spend a few days in London before the cruise but it's not booked yet. Will probably book it this weekend. That cruise is in May and I'm sure we will do a fall trip somewhere.
Right now I'm really looking forward to my nephew and his husband coming for Thanksgiving. They won't be here for Christmas so it will be great to have them here. They just told me they are coming up on Wednesday and will stay with us and help me cook. Super excited about that!

I don't either, but for some reason Vegas is a really popular destination for Australians. One of my friends was there in September, for the second time - the first was on her honeymoon. And my BBF was there last year, also for the second time, and the first was for her honeymoon as well! Someone else I know goes every couple of years.

I'm looking forward to Paris next March with my daughter😀 For my 60th in 2020 she gave me a voucher saying she would take me for a Europe mini break of my choice. COVID put a stop to that, then she was diagnosed with MS and has had a dreadful time regaining her sight.
Now she's been picked to run the Paris half marathon next march to raise money for MS-Uk (many wonderful people here sponsored her for the London marathon in April this year). She's never been and I haven't been for decades, so we are beyond excited. I haven't had any sort of holiday since 2009!

Next April we are cruising to Spain and Portugal and other ports, ending in England. We will spend five more days touring London and visiting with friends before flying home. 2024 hasn't been a great year (although its getting better) so we are really looking forward to this trip.
