I have never been on a plane so I have never travelled outside of the country but I sure would love to go to England next year to celebrate Jane Austen's 250th Birthday plus visit other sites. The Bronte sisters are on my list. I keep hinting to my husband. I would love to also see Australia and visit as much INXS things as I can.

I am sitting right now in the Hong Kong airport waiting for our flight to Phuket, we are spending 4 months in that area, we have a 5 day trip planned for Singapore in January, we leave Thailand in March to head towards Sydney, we are spending 3 weeks in Vietnam and then a week in Bali. We have a week in Sydney, we then get on a cruise ship and head towards Vancouver with stops in the South Pacific and Hawaii, then we are getting on a train and taking it across Canada to Toronto, we arrive back home May 9.

We are traveling to Belgium 🇧🇪 where our son is doing a year long study abroad program. We leave just before Christmas. We will spend a few days in Brussels at a really funky AirBnb, then after Christmas we take the train to Kortrijk, where his University is, New Years Eve we take the train to Amsterdam where we will meet friends from London for a few days. I am SO excited! I have never been to Europe. I am excited to see the Christmas market in Brussels. I am excited to see our friends who we have not seen for 10 years. My boy has been enjoying Belgium SO much and keeping notes on places he wants to take us. I cannot wait to have him play tour guide for us in “his” city. I really, REALLY cannot wait to see my kid who I miss SO much!! I did the Christmas markets in Belgium 20 years ago when we were stationed in the UK, it was one of my favourite trips.

but focus more on north of Albany next time we go While you're in Albany, take note of the name Ten Eyck. Those are my ancestors (from the late 1600's into the 1700's and beyond. One was a senator of Albany. There's tons of Ten Eyck streets, a Ten Eyck mall etc. In April, we're taking our first cruise, a river cruise, down the Rhine. We are specifically taking that cruise because it includes Amsterdam's Keukenhof Gardens which is known for their massive Tulip display. We've wanted to visit there for many years. That will take us to Belgium and other places before heading back to Amsterdam. From there, were heading to Austria where our son, DIL and 2 Granddaughters live. We'll be there for their youngest Granddaughter's birthday. Then it's back home. Then we'll head north to Ithaca, NY. We're renting 2 cabins at a campground that we love. Our son and family are flying to the US and we'll all meet there. Our 2 daughters and another son may meet us there. That would be great to have all of us together at once. It's so rare being that they live all over the map... FL, NY, ME and Austria.

zuke I'll have to do that! DH and I joked that everything ending in "kill" was a little eerie, even though it totally means something innocuous.

I'm in the process of changing my name, so all international trips are on hold until I take care of my passport. I cannot take any time off from about late-March through mid-July because of work, so we plan on a trip to Italy once my busy season is done.
In the meantime, we're going to Miami in Feb. DH has never been, and he wants to do a Cuban food tour.

After much struggle with LATAM Airlines website we are coming to Australia at the end of March. WOOHOO!! The plan is to stay at least 90 days and then head to NZ for 2 months. We are currently in Panama having a good time but, I'm super excited for our trip to Colombia next month. Oh wow, that sounds like an amazing trip! That's nearly half a year - I'm so envious! We travel full time so, our life is one big trip. This will be different for us in that we will be outside North America during our summer.

At the moment, we don't have much planned. Our best friends' daughter is planning on getting married in Gatlinburg next autumn. It would be fun to spend a long weekend there with our friends + it's where we took our mini-moon last year so we have lots of good memories there as well. My cousin is moving to Washington early next year and since I already work remotely and she will start working remotely with the move, we're also in talks about me flying out to spend a week with her with both of us working during the day & then going out the town in the evenings. We haven't been able to spend much time together over the last several years so I'm looking forward to working out the details for that. We're waiting to hear back on a life-changing job for my DH. We should know in the next week or two. If he receives an offer, that will make other vacation plans possible: a trip next summer to Chincoteague (it is SOOOO expensive to go there even for just a few days!) where my husband went every summer growing up and our delayed honeymoon trip to Ireland in 2026. I'd also love to take my kids on their first international trip in the next couple years but I'm thinking it would be best to start with a place where they speak English.

DH wants to go back to NYC already and thinking about next fall. He asked me if I wanted to go again, and I was like YES.. there is so much to see and we barely scratched the surface. So yeah, would like to go again and do completely different things. So it's in the taking stages right now. So we will see if it happens or not. I would like to take our youngest..so that is something to consider.

My husband is originally from the Philippines. He and I go there quite frequently; however, our daughters (who are now grown) have not been there since their Lola (grandmother) got sick which was in 2017.
We have planned one (probably last) family trip there for Xmas this year. It will be particularly exciting because we are introducing their partners to the country and culture. We will go SCUBA diving together. The partners don't dive but will do a 'resort course' which allows them to try it out under the direction of a dive professional. We will snorkel with whale sharks and enjoy all the wonder that is XMAS in the Philippines.

We are going to Niagara on the Lake and Toronto in lieu of gifts for Christmas this year. And in March, we're going to NYC to see my son's showcase and also to CO to see a show he is directing. Both of those are short weekend trips with no time off from work but I'm really looking forward to them. DH & I also have travel credits we need to use before February so we'll be going somewhere warm as soon as we figure out where we want to go. Then back to CO again in May for graduation/helping DS move.
I love travel planning and we are in the midst of planning the Canada trip right now so it's a delightful distraction.

My grandparents used to live in Laguna Hills. I loved visiting the shops in Laguna Beach on our trips down there. I remember there was this huge outdoor pottery store we always went to.

My nephew will be stationed in Stuttgart starting next month. I've never been out of the country but I think my sons and I will go to see him next year. I'm not so much interested in Germany, but I can get around to France, Switzerland, Czech, Italy so easily! I think we'd take 2 weeks. So I'm getting excited to begin planning this trip.

We dont really have anything planned yet. DH and I celebrate our 25 yr anniversary next year, and talked about going to France (we got engaged on top of the Arc and he really wants to see Normandy), but all that talk seems to be on hold...
Our DD will graduate from UMD in May, so we are looking forward to that. She will graduate with dual degrees in Chinese and International Relations, with a minor in Global Terrorism Studies. She will stay at the university for another year to finish her Masters... so we will be back in 2026 for that graduation! =)

My dh and I discovered Laguna Beach a few years ago and feel in love with the area. I especially love seeing all the art galleries and of course those magnificent ocean views. Just thinking about it now feels so relaxing. LOL! I wonder if the pottery store is still there. I will have to keep an eye out for it next time I go.

12,600 km from Toronto to India. Probably won’t plan any more trips to match this distance

We are heading to NYC for a long weekend just before Christmas, a trip we’ve been talking about doing for years. In March my DD and I are doing a cruise for her spring break, I think we’re going to Ireland for a long weekend for my milestone birthday in May, and we are starting to plan a family trip to Bali for August.

One of my favorite places is Larsen (I think that’s the name) - the beach front restaurant at Hotel Laguna - so perfect to grab a cocktail. Have fun!

We've got tickets for two concerts next year already. Deftones & The Mars Volta here locally, and then My Chemical Romance & Garbage in Arlington. Trying to plan a nice vacation this summer since I'll graduate with my Masters degree in the Spring but we haven't decided where yet.

I’m going on my dream trip next September to Italy. Going to Pisa, Florence and Rome. I’ve wanted to go for so long and I’m so excited.

They are all beautiful cities and you will have such a good time. Can I give one piece of advice - I have done ‘food experiences’ in both Rome and Florence and they were absolute highlights. Shopping, cooking and then eating delicious food you helped to make, then getting the recipes to take home. Wins all around.

Do reconsider Germany - it has so many wonderful cities to visit. I have only been to Stuttgart railway station, so no ideas there, but you are not far from Heidelberg and Nuremberg, which are beautiful and also important historically. I’m in Munich, which is a bit further away, but also awesome.
