My youngest son will graduate college in December. He went an extra semester to get a minor. He is graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He got a call yesterday from a place he interviewed. He will be getting an offer in the next few days.
Such a relief. He has student loans and he is driving a 2004 Honda that is on its last legs.
*Update
My son got an official offer from both companies. The offer from the company he is interning at was better and also where he wants to be. So it is official! I am celebrating that! In addition my youngest dd is having her BFA art show reception today. She and the 5 other BFA students have their work on display in the gallery at the university. Proud mama today!

Great news. Fingers crossed the offer comes through. So many people get to this stage and then the company yanks the offer or ghosts them. Especially recent college grades.

Congrats! DH and I did the happy dance when our oldest got a solid offer after graduating. Take time to celebrate! We will be celebrating, but I will truly celebrate when my dd graduates in May, finds a job, and she and my granddaughter move out. Don't get me wrong, I love my granddaughter more than anything in the world, but I want to be grandma, not a co-parent. |

My husband is a mechanical engineer also! It's been a great career for him. He's a good engineer with great people skills, which admittedly is kind of rare amongst engineers. That's why he's the boss now.
