i ran M, T, W, T and then took F off, and was back out this morning and it felt really good to be out. I finally found a decent app (Map My Run) and was surprised to see i'm getting 2.75+ miles in on each run which is GREAT!
YAY for those of you considering the Princess 1/2! I want to do it in 2016. I'm not ready for 2015 plus we're planning to go to Disney for fun that same month....I've heard it's great though.

I was dragging myself out of bed this morning when my alarm went off at 6am, but I ended up having a solid 8 mile run. (Runkeeper - the app I use to track runs - said it was my third fastest 6-10 mile run, so I'll gladly take it.) My mantra through the tought parts was "your body follows your mind" and that was very true! Now it's time to stretch & hydrate, hydrate, hydrate so I can fully enjoy a glass or two of wine at my birthday party tonight. Oh - I'm going to start a new thread for the week Monday morning. Hope y'all enjoy your weekend miles! Yay for you! I'm saving my long run for tomorrow. Have a wonderful wonderful birthday party!

Octoberbeauty and I are in this together! I just hope we can both get in. The races are selling out so fast and the DVC/AP early registration is already full. I will on my computer promptly at 11:45 am. I have the web page pulled up already. Yes we are! I've got to get some stuff sold this weekend to pay for it. Are you doing the GSC or the half? I'm nuts and I'm doing all three again.

Ran 8 miles today at a pace about 1 minute slower than normal. Granted, it was 90 degrees so that slowed me down a lot!
Getting ready for my 2nd half marathon in August. Most weekly runs are on the treadmill and long runs outside early Saturday mornings.
Anyone else training for a race soon?

I'm not feeling well this weekend so I missed my workout this morning. Hoping I can go tomorrow. There's a Diva Dash 5K here in 2 weeks. I want to do it, but not sure I'm ready.

I broke my wrist while falling when I was supposed to be walking my dog last night. I am going to wait until the pain goes away before I run with it. The thought of jostling it right now is unappetizing!

The thought of jostling it right now is unappetizing! Oh no, Elaine, I am so sorry that happened to you!! Hopefully, it won't keep you down for long. I had my third beginner running class with a local running store here on Saturday, and found a new pleasure in running with others! Two other women and I ran at the same pace (only an 11 minute mile), but we did 2.5 miles without walking. And it was so fun to chat the entire time. I have always enjoyed the alone time that running provided me (when I ran 3 years ago), and while I still do love that, now I know that running with other people is great too. It's so motivating!
